Sunday Musings: Third Wheelin' Dealin' and Mysterio Hits the Gym?


Little bit of this, little bit of that...


• Apparently, Justin Bieber's team feels there's nothing like reminiscing about a memory of attending Coachella with a rumored date to.....do what, exactly?  He's freshly "married", should still be in honeymoon mode, but hey, let's post a Throwback like this one on your Instagram:


..."better be this good"?  There's no mistaking the insinuation of that statement.  But his social media team threw in a fond comment by his beard, I mean wife Hailey to help smooth things out and convey to the public that this reminiscing is A-OK with her.  And E! Online reminds us in this remarkable article, that Hailey is "Kenny's" BFF!


Justin Bieber is taking a trip down memory lane right in time for Coachella 2019. 
 
One day before the highly-anticipated music and arts festival kicks off in the Southern California desert, the pop star took to Instagram with an epic throwback from his Coachella experience in 2015. That year the Biebs attended the event with none other than Kendall Jenner, who he at the time was rumored to be romancing!
"Coachella better be this good this year," he captioned the snapshot taken within the festival grounds.
 
Four years later, it's pretty ironic to note that Justin's wife and Kendall's BFF, Hailey Bieber (then a Baldwin), also partied at Coachella with the pair. 
 
She even commented on her beau's post, "this pic gets me every time."

You can't make this stuff up, folks.  While Biebs is supposed to be flying high on the "loved up" cloud of his recent nuptials, E! Online and the singer want the public to believe he's instead looking in his cloud's rear view mirror, if you know what we mean. And that Hailey Bieber is A-OK with this post after partying with "the pair" at the festival is even more amusing. "Kenny" gave a playful Instagram comment of "Haha i'm dead".

 And then E! Online ends their write-up with "Here's hoping Kendall and Justin get an opportunity to recreate their Kodak moment sometime this weekend!"   


Huh?  lol.  But looks like there's no big deal with this and they're all one happy family.  Here's "Kenny" and Hailey together this weekend at Coachella while Biebs is enjoying his 'me' time.  Perhaps he's seeking some pastor support this weekend???


 

 Interesting, isn't it?  How many relationships and marriages in Hollywood remain on such amicable and friendly terms even after a legal ending?

 • And Narnia wishes we could play a wholehearted "Ding Dong the you-know-what is dead", but this fauxmance was so devoid of conclusiveness and execution, we can't even muster up one chorus, lol.  Nonetheless, we are glad to see the end of Naomi Campbell's Tick-like attachment to the thriving Liam Payne.  Here's a couple of recent pictures of one of Narnia's faves.

 • For some reason, every time I see Kris Allen performing in the southeast (which is pretty much a fixture now), it feels like Kristopher's reaction to crossing west of the Mississippi is like George Costanza's in this episode of Seinfeld:

What's next on Kris's schedule?  An "intimate" performance on May 5 in Blue Ridge, GA at a private cabin.  The performance is listed as a fundraiser for Big Change [social impact accelerator that finds inspired youth with potentially world-changing ideas and helps them bring those ideas to life] and tickets are $68.27 (w/ service fee) and there is a $140 VIP Private Meet and Greet event.  

 Sounds quite lovely anyway, doesn't it?  Mountains and a private cabin.  If you live in Arkansas, Georgia, Nashville TN, or New York, you've got a reasonable chance at seeing Kris perform.  If you live west of the Mississippi?  Wellllllllllll.....different story.

 We have those American Idol memories and You Tube as well.   Interesting, isn't it?  Because this guy is quite talented.  He's a great songwriter and really has evolved as a singer.  But his geographical boundaries are narrowing instead of enlarging, which isn't a bad thing as long as he is happy and loves what he is doing.  When this Blue Ridge private cabin performance in May is the only listed tour date on the internet though, it does leave one kind of scratching their head. With two children to see through school and possibly college, it's kind of an interesting, non-ambitious path....

 • Look at this dandy photo Austin posted on his Instagram this past week.  Love that tie!!


• Meanwhile, Jake's people want us to believe that he is re-shooting scenes from the Far From Home tentpole movie.  When IHeartJake posted the paparazzi photos, they were posted as "At a gym in West Hollywood".  But according to two different Instagram accounts, "ffh cast" and "the_comicb00k_lover", the gym photos were actually reshoots for the movie.  You don't say?  So, sounds like another case of End of Watch and the Subway "filming"?? Here's Jake hidden by a large black bag, along with some of the film crew? Co-stars from Far from Home? Are they shooting a scene? One in sweat pants and hoodie, the other in denim pants.  Working out at the gym?  Re-shooting?  Both???


Then, it was Cartier to the rescue again, holding a launch in Paris, France for Jake to be placed at.  Here he is chatting up a long-haired member of the female population [yes, we know, this is supposed to be Cadieu, but speaking as "concerned", i.e. entertained fans, we feel it is fair to state that we are not persuaded by these hinky, i.e. half-assed photos]






 Heyyyyyy, that's not the elusive Jeanne Cadieu, is it?  Where in the heck has she been, anyway?  Oh, that's right! Jake has been overseas since the closure of his play, thus here comes Caribou from out of the wine cellar to help give him his needed cover. Because otherwise, it feels like a year or so since we were told these two were canoodl-ers.


 
And this is supposedly her and beau Jakers at the Paris airport on Apr 10.   Notice Jake is practicing for his lead role in Phantom of the Opera - half of his face is missing.


So, Jake goes from New York City cross country to Los Angeles to post-produce a re-shoot of a Far From Home gym scene allll the way over to Paris, France for a Cartier launch, then back to New York City to flip himself off.  Here's Jake pointing at his own nose, allegedly today:


Let's hope that Cadieu followed him back to the Big Apple and the couple could have a Met Gala coming out, how about it, kids?

 • Looks like Jared and Jensen are playing their "New York City" narrative, except theirs is the "Austin TX" narrative.  Their social media is frequently sprinkled with pictures which lack solid date stamping.  In other words, they merely list a current ongoing event, but there is not veritable proof that the pictures are current.  And what are the chances of photo layering being used with an added background photo?  

 Here was Jensen allegedly at the WGC Dell Match Play held in Austin, TX, and a stop on the PGA Tour. 

  
The match play ran from March 27 through the 31st.  Jensen's photo was posted on March 30, thus likely, I mean possibly allowing time to snap that background photo and layer his on top.  

 And the "Ivan Shawski Shaw" for J2, aka Steve Carlson, providing the use of his Instagram to place Jensen as possibly working on some music at Arlyn Studios, which is in, of course - Austin, TX:

We are to presume the photo was taken recently, because 1) Steve Carlson placed himself in the Austin studio yesterday.  Not necessarily a deal sealer.  But then there's point 2) one might argue, which is because of the heavy scruff; the follicle growth which causes fans to conclude that beard = hiatus so it must be current.  Makes sense.   Could be.  Or could not necessarily be.  Interesting the photo is in black and white.  And believe it or not [this is now truly interesting to know], did you know that facial hair can be created in photos?  I don't expect anyone to watch this whole video, but as I told M&M - know that it exists.  This was fascinating.  And kind of scary.

There are other more current videos because believe it or not, this particular one is from 2014!  So, definitely enough to make me stroke my own chin in contemplation.  LOL!  

 Seriously however, depending on the distance of the subject and the filter, one could see follicle alteration as being a distinct possibility. 

 Guaranteed money shot of absolute placement?  A major, televised award show.  Or a live, televised sporting event.  Here was such an example - Patrick Mahomes with the alleged ruler of his television remote control on his right.


•And if anyone was able to catch this historical moment in America, South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigieg announcing his candidacy for President of the United States, with his husband at his side.  Truly, this was a genuine, historic moment.  Someone who is stepping up due to the dire situation in our country.

I'm glad to be alive to see this day.

Sunday Musings: Nuptial Garlic Necklaces and Gus Kenworthy's Twitter Craftsmanship


This winter beginning to feel like,


Oh my goodness, what in the heck was that?  Tough lesson learned, for sure! 

Narnia has just a few items we would like to bring to the table this morning, so let's get to it.  

PR "marriages" followed by Just Jared fodder for baby bump "updates" are becoming almost an every day occurrence, aren't they?  

• Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin - did he get "married", so that he could step out with his pastor?



Now that a probation period of time has passed, it looks like Biebs is back out-and-about with his pastor, Carl Lentz.  Notice the garlic necklace words, "His wife Hailey Bieber".  Garlic necklace, Get-out-of-jail card, however you wish to term it.

Two days later,


Lunch with the pastor, followed by a bike ride around the park!  Notice again, the article came with a garlic necklace - "The day before, Justin enjoyed an afternoon outing with his wife Hailey Bieber".

For those not familiar, prior to the 'wedding', Biebs had been seen with his pastor quite a bit.







































So, did Biebs "tie the knot" so that he could continue stepping out with the pastor?  

•  And the latest to get "married" - Darren Criss

Despite looking younger, Darren Criss is 32 years old and Mia Swier is said to be "around 34".  She is a producer and director for Fox and the two are said to have dated for seven and a half years.  Darren has toiled in the business with voice acting, recurring television series roles (i.e. Little White Lie), and video shorts.  These were followed by his more recognized role in the Fox series Glee and theater.  Last year in 2018, came his award winning performance in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.  

Since announcing his engagement in January 2018 to long-time girlfriend Swier, Darren Criss has been the winner of a SAG, Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Emmy award.  And now, the announcement of marriage.  

 It's unfortunate that these "mandatory" nuptials continue to be viewed as valid and necessary in show business.  When will Hollywood catch up to this year of 2019?

 • Congratulations to Gus Kenworthy on his new television role on FX network's American Horror Story.  He will play the boyfriend of Emma Roberts' character, Madison Montgomery.  Congratulations, Gus!  This is not his first acting role as he has been in 2017's Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and was also recently a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race series.

Gus is also quite talented at the Twitter game.  He had a biting, on-point reply to a harsh critic.  Check it out:

• And what is going on with Liam Payne?  On Tuesday, Feb 12, we saw pictures of Liam arriving in New York City.  With a significant amount of luggage.


Then, on Friday the 15th, Liam is quite visibly photo'd and video'd at a CHEGG Music 101 event which won Mission San Jose High School a $10k music grant.

Author aside: It's an admirable sounding event until you read on Consumer Affairs, many of the comments from students and parents on how they were cheated or delayed money from this organization.  Highly critical reviews on their business ethics and practices.  I'm not at all saying that Liam is even aware of these practices because it is not known what is behind this appearance.

Was Liam in the States for awhile?  Doesn't look like it.  Nope, Liam is shuttled right back to the United Kingdom.  Here he is shown to be arriving back at Heathrow airport yesterday, Feb. 16, minus some of that big luggage he had hauled to JFK on the 12th.


Forget some luggage, Liam??? No doubt, he may be back in the UK for the Brit Awards which are on Wednesday, the 20th?  We at Narnia cross our fingers for a Liam win.

So, instead of coming to the United States for the Grammys on Sunday, Feb 10, an event which would make sense for Liam to attend for fun and networking since he is in the music business, he is seen where?  At a BAFTA after-party.  BAFTA = British Academy of Film and Television Arts.  And two days later, he comes to the States to perform at a concert on the 15th, only to leave the States the next day and return to the UK.  Yup.  Makes sense, doesn't it?  [sarc]

Oh, well and there was one other item on his agenda while in the States.  That was to be "photo'd" standing outside of 48-year old Naomi Campbell's NYC apartment building.

So what is with the smear job going on with Liam?  Look at this pack of lies:



Why would Zayn be attending a BAFTA party at all?  Wouldn't Zayn be more likely to want to attend the Grammys as well?  I'm not sure, but perhaps because he's in the music business as well?

 No doubt, Sony/Syco still has a stronghold on all of these young 1D men.  Each week, it's a dart's throw to see who is the choice smear target.

 Regardless, Liam plugs along, doing what he needs to do and having fun performing.  We salute Mr. Payne!  He's a class act.

• Speaking of money shots, Narnia is still looking for the obligatory shot of Big Sis Maggie Gyllenhaal at Lil' Bro Jake's opening night of Seawall/A Life on Thursday, Feb 14.  Instead, both Big Sis and Bro-in-Law Peter Sarsgaard's social media are filled with reblogs of this "informative" video from Architectural Digest which showcase the "couple" giving everyone a tour inside the infamous brownstone:

 Could that be because Big Sis was with the hubs (Austin Nichols)?  Trying to hold down the fort until Jakers could come back and quickly restore order until he had to leave for NYC again?

 Maggie and Austin are just trying to keep things going back at the homestead.  Not too much longer until spring break, kids!  Perhaps Jake's beard Caribou (aka Jeanne Cadieu) could drop in and assist?  Since she doesn't appear to be in New York City either, yet another one who missed the opening night bell.

And remember:  One of the most helpful pieces of advice and information I've received came from our Safety manager at work.  When walking on ice, remember to pengin walk.  Walk like a penguin, toes pointing outward, not straight ahead.  This balances your weight better on the ice.  Believe me, it WORKS!  I don't care how silly it looks.  It's better than having your feet slide out from under you.
