Austin Makes a Return Visit to an Old Dearheart - One Tree Hill's Wilmington NC ( Pt 2)

And so here we are in Part Two - the unabridged, unedited, Cliffs Notes, snarky behind-the-scenes version of "as Narnia sees Austin and the Return to One Tree Hill weekend that was". Because you know.  You know that when Jake and/or Austin are involved, there cannot be simple and pure.  Oh no.  We at Narnia have been around too long with these two rascals to know that there is no such thing as a 20/20 view with them.

In Part One, we saw where Austin's return to One Tree Hill was going to be delayed, but he was still coming!   Can't miss this one,  can you?

 

Interesting timing of all this. Austin attends The Walking Dead London convention the previous weekend (Mar 9-11) and early in the day on Monday the 12th, we find out that Austin has a new project in the works; he is to start work in Canada on a pilot for a new show called In the Dark. By that evening on the 12th, he is already spotted in Toronto.

An Austin civilian sighting?  Well, we here at Narnia, already had our suspicions piqued since he isn't spotted much at all anymore.

On the 14th, EyeCon announces he's being delayed and won't arrive in Wilmington until the afternoon of Saturday the 17th, thus missing the day's  early scheduled photo ops.  On Saturday morning, we receive this social media evidence that Austin had indeed been 'filming' on Friday.


 

Good thing we had Austin's face clearly in the picture because otherwise, we would have no clue who the other two parties were since they were totally unidentifiable, wouldn't you agree?

But, Austin arrived in Wilmington on Saturday and as if to answer our questions as to the identity of the unidentifiable ones, as it often happens, our paranoid curiosity was addressed by late in the day on Sunday the 18th.

The Return to One Tree Hill convention came and went, folks went home and the celebrity guests resumed their professional activities and Austin?  Well, we presumed Austin flew back to Toronto to finish that pilot filming which had been briefly started prior to the convention.

 Or did he?

 While one of us wondered out loud if we were to receive any further filming reports,


 

amazingly, as (again) it so often happens, our question and concern was addressed by nightfall.


 


And not just one, but two sightings!  We repeat, two sightings.  Extraordinary and fortuitous.  Amazingly, this fan's name just happens to be the same as the Stronger co-star of Jake, Tatiana Malany.



Pretty amazing "lunch place" wallpaper, isn't it?  ;-)   And both Instagrammer's were up late around the same hour last night downloading pics and posting on their Instagrams as well as Twitters.  Busy bees!

We thought so too, Bradley.  Now, if you still have any kind of skepticism as to the extraordinary-ness of this double Austin sighting, perhaps this spontaneous twitter conversation may help fortify a wavering belief.













Hmmm, wow.  So was Austin with his pilot co-star, Perry Mattfeld already?  Or was it....or was it his cyber beard, Hassle I mean Hassie Harrison, whom he has not yet been photo op'd in the company of and managed to elude the press with?  Well, let's take a sneak peek at HH's Instagram.

Well, once again, ask and thou shall receive.  I don't know about you, but I'm quite thankful!

It looks like HH has provided a location of "Toronto" so it very well could have been this lassie, couldn't it?  I guess we at Narnia will just have to keep an eye on this secret romance of Austin's for any further breaking developments!

Meanwhile, Austin's real life love muffin Mr. Jake Gyllenhaal has finally been seen out and about in Los Angeles, CA where he allegedly is supposed to have been for awhile, also filming.

 and grocery shopping at Erewhon Market!



I love the visibility of the reusable shopping bags at the checkout counter right before Jake exits with his paper bags, lol.  Aw, his reusable bags were probably stuffed holding toys and auto bingo cards in the back seat of his car, what am I thinking?

A double photo op day for Jake in Los Angeles!  When is the last time we had this treat?  Perhaps because Family Jaustin is finally settled and hunkered down after that brief stopover while one parental unit filmed his pilot and now it's time for the baton hand-off.  Time for the other one to earn some college fund moola.

 Oh, and by the way, don't visit IHJ expecting to see pictures of Jake leaving Erewhon's in the Family Truckster.  His team took care of that and furnished him with a roomy BMW "mature person's" sedan.  ;-)

 Or could it be that the truckster Q7 was merely left behind before the trek westward?  Look at what was parked along the street as Tom and I left the convention center on Saturday the 17th:


Now, wait a doggone minute.....is that what I think it is, you ask?  Let's zoom that puppy up.

LOL!  It is!  You can't make this stuff up, folks.  Swear to pete, this was parked at the meters on Saturday.  Florida Tom will attest to this as he was leaving me in the dust because there was dinner to be had while I was snapping these pictures.

 And so there is our tale, the Rainbow Brite (Rated G for Good) version in Part One.  And then, the Dastardly & Mutley (Rated T for Typical) version in Part Two.  And Narnia will leave you with this thought.

Leadville Lovin' - Day 17

Thanks to blogger Brandon Fuller, August 2010 had a "delayed" sparkle-effect although full impact did not occur until two months later in October (it took two months before Austin was realized to be in "the" photo).  

But, for now the origin of our story begins on August 15, 2010, with Jake's attention-grabbing photo op with his niece Ramona Sarsgaard, the spoon-fed narrative informing the viewer that he is on his way to a birthday party on a Sunday afternoon. Remember that from 2006-2012 Jake and Maggie used Ramona on a regular basis to help hide Jake's real living situation.  This particular occasion was no different than the others. Jake obviously wanted to be seen. The question is why? Perhaps the pretense of a friend's birthday party covering for the observance of a bris ceremony for a newborn? If true, that would certainly help to explain the timing of Jake acquiring those two Audi Q7s in late May 2010, wouldn't it?








The pictures were indeed intriguing, particularly since Ramona was not being carried by her own mother. Busy Phillips' daughter had a birthday on Friday August 13, so there was little doubt that the charade that was being played out in front of everyone's eyes was to give the impression that the Gyllenhaal's were all gathered to celebrate little Birdie's special day. Why Jake would wait two days for the odd comings and goings on that Sunday has never been explained, but we were being told that a food cart was involved, along with Busy Phillips' husband Marc Silverstein, who also appeared in the photo set.  Jake was also seen toting two yellow gift bags carrying something from YOLK Gifts, Toys and Hardware, a children's boutique store.  

The next day, August 16, Jake is photo'd having lunch with his father, Stephen Gyllenhaal at Cafe Midi in Los Angeles; al fresco dining, big Triumph motorcycle, big facial beard, the Gyllenhaal patriarch, and then something going on with the meter and pocket change, etc. The additional Gyllenhaal sighting of Stephen was hinting towards a family "reunion" in Los Angeles.   Even more interesting, was that Austin was scheduled to be in town this same weekend, appearing with his beard Sophia Bush at the Breakthrough of the Year Awards on August 15, but he was mysteriously a no-show. 





Fast forward to later in the month, where we received this set of pictures dated August 28, labeled "Visiting a Friend's Cabin Near Los Angeles" with Jake looking not quite runway-ready:






Besides the fact that these photos brought us bare toes exposure, one has to admit these cabin pics (the full set: Visiting a Cabin pic set on IHJ ) were all cause for pause and careful study.  Whose cabin was this?  And how did the paparazzi even find Jake there?  Why was he being so stealthy and hurrying back to his Family Truckster? Maybe something incriminating? And why did Jake look so rumpled?

 Meanwhile, back on the Nichols ranch.......Austin was performing some acrobatic internet activity of his own.

Several days later while writing under his altar-ego twitter account @SensitiveJulian, Austin rattled off the following tweets

• @adamlevine your music is playin in my gym. Got me all pumped up. (Or romanced up) Love you tender
• Probably Eat, Pray, Love. (for the third time) then take a shower. healthy dinner. and curl up on the couch for a little sex and city Aug 22nd


 


 


 

• Can't wait to have my nails done and unwind tonight with the love of my life. :)
• My perfect weekend. wake up early. yoga. followed by a healthy but delicious brunch. swim in the sea. lay in the sand. read a good book.
• Anybody ever feel like a walk on the beach with a glass of wine. nice sunset. maybe a good cry?


 Jake's appearance during the race at Leadville CO occurred the weekend of August 20, 2010 and may not have been discovered were it not for runner and blogger Brandon Fuller, who spotted Jake and reported him in attendance with bro-in-law Peter Sarsgaard.  

 "After leaving the assembly, we heard rumors of Hollywood stars in the mix. Turns out Jake Gyllenhaal of gay cowboy fame was up in the rafters in a big beard and hat.


We haven’t figured out his role in this yet but the lowdown seems to be a Born to Run movie in the works. They aren’t filming the movie right now. I am thinking they are doing some scouting and maybe some “day in the life” stuff so they can then portray it in a film? Seems silly since its such an event in itself and doesn’t need to be acted in my opinion. Anyway, here is a back shot of him. He is in the hat with backpack. I wussed out on getting a picture." - Brandon Fuller.  source

And thus appeared the infamous photo:


Jake in the dark olive cargo pants and backwards ball cap with the backpack, and to his left, Mr. Nichols.  (Peter Sarsgaard is in the black, long sleeved T and sienna colored fedora.)  Of course, there was a very vocal, professional scoffer commenting on Oh My Godot who claimed that was not Austin. But, what else is new?

When one looks at the medical building visits in 2010 [see Day 4 Doctor's Orders - Day 4 ], there were April and June visits leading up to the online activities in August.  Austin's, I mean SensitiveJulian's tweets seemed to be in quite the post-Leadville blissful mood.  Was Leadville a celebratory weekend after the newest addition?  Jake looked quite content and relaxed in some of the fan photos which appeared once Brandon Fuller "announced" to the world wide web that he was there.


Oh yes, indeed.  We agree, Henry.



Is it any wonder that power beard Taylor Swift appeared out of nowhere in October 2010, ready to lend a helping hand and provide some distraction from what was really going on behind the scenes?
