Edible Gift Arrangements

Last year, my brother and his family couldn't be here for my birthday but they sent something and wow, was it - edible!! An edible arrangement. This thing was awesome with sweet pineapple, large strawberries and just a lot of creativity and talent. They came from a company called Edible Arrangements.

Memorial Tulips

During the last year of my dad's life while his health prevented him from being able to do routine yard/home maintenance, a young man from Mom & Dad's church was able to help us all out with some of it. His name was Jason and he was so generous. He grew quite close to Mom & Dad and we all got accustomed to seeing Jason around the house. Anyway, the day that Dad died, he started this little memorial ring of tulips around the front tree of my folks' house. They came up last spring and I'm sure they'll be up this year too. What a gift he gave by doing this, working into the dark to get it finished. Here they were in full bloom last year:

See how they lean in that bottom picture? My Aunt Florence says they bend towards the east in the morning and then lean towards the west in the afternoon/evening. Makes sense, huh?

Nikki and Puddy

Here's two I haven't spilled the dirt on. Nikki and Puddy. Nikki is a black lab and Puddy is an Australian Shepherd. They are very good, very BIG dogs. lol. They take up alot of room. Puddy is a bit of a whiner. He cries sometimes and you have no idea why. But he's a sweetie. Here they are.

This picture is several years old. That's my old laptop. You can leave things like that out and they won't bother them. Their new playmate, Lucky, though, is an entirely different story. He's a very, very young black lab and he is a handful.

Curly

Okay, you've read about mr. Curly. He is a bull terrier that I am watching for 3 weeks; just having completed one. Everything's gone extremely well until today. I think I've lost the mail key.

Anyway, let's not talk about my shortcomings. Here's Mr. Curly!!

^ There's the mostly decapitated toy that he ripped during
the emotional One Tree Hill scene

Anyway, there he is!! Isn't he cute???

Just a Pretty Little Christmas Tree

I thought my sister & mine's Christmas tree was very pretty this year. Here's our tree plus the buffet that's all decorated, too. I don't use the buffet per se; it is stuffed with linens, dishes, and whatnot. It's mainly used for display, lol.

Christmas 2009

Well, this is certainly a Christmas Eve to remember. Dogsitting and separated from my family. But stll having a good time!

Thought I would put up a picture of the dogs I'm watching. Barkley, Libby and the newbie, crazy little Maizie. Maizie is obssessive about looking up at the skylights. She sees her reflection up in the glass and thinks it's another dog.

My Dog Watch-ees - Pt. 1

Dogsitting began for me as just helping a friend out. This was years ago, lol. Now I have several regular customers and a new one scheduled for next year already.

Molly and Lucy are border collies. Jingles is a Yorkie. Molly & Lucy are two of the best dogs ever. They know phrases/words like if you tell them you're going to "work" or "to the store". Jingles? Jingles is a different story. He's pretty bad. He likes to make his mark in the house, if you know what I mean. And he is the horniest little dog. He is always looking to hump something, lol.

I have been watching Molly and Lucy for quite a few years now, not sure exactly how many. Maybe 5 or so? Anyway, border collies are great watch dogs and they sure seem to love to chase the squirrels. And Molly is great at catching a frisbee.

Here is a picture of Molly and Jingles at the door, most likely looking at someone jogging or walking along the sidewalk in front of the house.
