Austin Nichols' No Show Career: How To Avoid Promotion Work in Ten Easy Lessons

Back in late February of this year, Austin Nichols' film The Iron Orchard was opening in theaters, first in the state of Texas, followed by other markets.  The cast appeared at the premiere in Ft Worth on Feb 23, followed by additional screenings and Q & A's.  And we at Narnia know that just like Big Sis' movie Kindergarten Teacher, by now it feels like these two films have been premiered, screened, promo'd, Q & A'd and shown for about five years!

But Austin and beard Chumley (Hassle "Hassie" Harrison), who both star in the film, have been rather selective about which promotional event they've attended.  Chumley has had some filming of her series Tacoma FD, Instagram posts to work up, and selfies to pose for.  And Austin....well, Austin poses with and holds her dog a lot.

So while their film The Iron Orchard was opening in theaters and premiering in Texas the weekend of Feb 22, looks like this is what we're to believe Austin and Chumley felt like doing rather than being in Texas with their co-stars, working the screenings and carpets:

Here's some of their co-stars posing at the premiere, Feb 22:

Star Lane Garrison posted that Midland, Texas even proclaimed the day "The Iron Orchard Day":

And again, allegedly the 23rd, the next day:

Somewhere in the U.S.A.....Austin and...you know who.

And then the first kicker.

Here's Austin promoting The Iron Orchard, we assume, on February 25.  At least that is what the Los Angeles television station KTLA seems to be telling us.   So Austin does lend his voice for promotion.

An interview where Austin proceeds to tell the interviewer how he is a native of Austin, TX and it was awesome to be able to film in his native state....

And he relays this from Los Angeles.  Three days later.

via GIPHY

On the 27th, Austin's twitter account (if you wish to believe this was Austin himself, then he's referring to himself in the 3rd person):

And then to top things off, three days ago on March 25, Chumley DID make it to Texas for some promo work.  For her television show!  And where was Austin?  Well, we're not sure.  But he wasn't in Texas.

So, there you go, folks.  The anatomy of Operation Slough Off.

Aka, hubs Jake has 8pm shows on Friday nights and double shows on Saturday and Sundays in New York City.  And Austin has kid duty as part of that deal.

Sometimes it's never more clear that Austin and Jake are still together, doing that family raising thing, than when Austin has pulled another no-show.

And the no-show at The Iron Orchard theater opening celebrations on his home turf state was about as glaring as the shine off of Isaac Hayes' scalp.

In Sickness And In Desperate Times: Jake Gyllenhaal and Austin Nichols Are Far From Done-zo

Rumors, rumors, rumors.   Pesky things, aren't they?  And for two 38 year old men who supposedly were only f-buddies or "buds with benefits" and haven't even taken a NYC broad daylight sidewalk stroll together since 2012 , there's been a sudden increase in "concern" for their relationship.  And Narnia is beginning to feel like Dear Abby - we're not sure who's going to pop up out of the internet bushes next!

One thing is for sure, the countdown is on.   Jakers has one and a half weeks remaining with his theater gig.  On Friday, July 5, Spiderman: Far From Home will be released.  Between April 1 and July 5, it's anyone's guess the number of Instagram Stories Jakers and/or Austin's fans will be privy to, placing each one here and there, there and here.  No doubt, covering for some extended family down-time until the stretch when Jakers will begin in earnest to pound the pavement promoting the big Flick.

As mentioned before, this will be one of the biggest movies in Jake's career.  It's definitely going to be his most financially beneficial - looks like the Baby Tiles will be able to get new shoes next school year!

And just like last October when Austin was waving & flashing his right finger bling to any camera pointed in his direction, his love-bun Jake appears to now be doing the same.

All right, all right... geez! Funny thing.  Remember back in 2008 when Jake made an appearance at the LA Conservation Corp Spring Charity/Scholarship Luncheon?  Let's see how one account preferred to remember it.

"Remember when he had to use crutches?"

Aah yes, the crutches.  Well, some of us older-timers remember this outing as the one when Jake was hiding something under that dress shirt.

A bit of his own bling.  Hidden. On a chain.

Fast forward to March of 2019 and it seems Jake is turning that shirt inside out and trying to convey a "big change" in his personal life.  Sun beams are radiating from the NY Public Theater via endless Instagram pictures where he doesn't seem to mind everyone knowing THIS time around.  ;-)

Boom!  Watch out - that ring's a swingin'!

Boy, when these fellas want fans to notice something, they make sure it gets done, don't they?

So, which one of these two OTP halves is going to beat the other to the "barn" altar?  The "private island" altar?  The "private residence" altar? Jake??? Austin???

The big tent pole flick very well may be requiring the big tent pole fake marriage.   The Gyllynicholsgaard Compound just may be putting the finishing touches on an additional extra mother-in-law cottage as we write!  Because these two men have about run out of stunts.  There's not many believable alternatives left.

And it's looking more like Jake will beat Austin to the finish line.  Because after all, when the real life hubs is already allegedly carrying on a torrid, polygamous marriage with a former co-star....

Didn't you know????

I've been told!!

Yes, as you can see, it's been non-stop entertainment around the Narnia neighborhood lately.  But the sideshow activity would be hard pressed to beat a Gyllenwedding.  Aaaaah yes.  There would be no competing with that move.

Well, Narnia is ready and will keep an eye on our internet inbox for perhaps that very special People.com announcement when the ring becomes another a band.

Bleacher Observations II: Did Mr. Clean Join Jake Gyllenhaal's Social Media Team?

A stealth glance into the top desk drawer of someone's Social Media Team's desk:

Exhibit A shows some pretty dirty, used erase scrubbers.  To the left, a small stock of fresh ones.  Looks like someone's been busy, doesn't it?  Hard at it?

Scrubbing the internet is nothing new.  Remarks in interviews which revealed too much, inflammatory or regretful tweets taken down, or in the case of Oh My Godot, when M&M or I have gone back to old posts to find a link, only to find the dreaded "404".  Gone.  "Doesn't exist".  There's also the intentionally controversial tweet or post, followed by quick deletion, pretending to look like an "oops" just occurred, but online just long enough for "fan" accounts to see and download.  But that's a whole 'nother matter. This author tends to get derailed easily and let's get back to our intended topic.  ;D

On March 2, we at Narnia were initially intrigued that one visitor in particular was visiting our site daily and looking at everything.  Post after post after post. Not that this hasn't happened before.  But whoever this particular person was, really seemed interested!

Statcounter tells us that this person has paid 81 visits (as of today, 03/17) over 18 days?  Actually, it began to be creepy. M&M and I noticed how many pictures were being downloaded and we began to suspect we had a PR intern doing the intense scoping.  Then, on Thursday evening, I was looking again at statistics of this particular visitor and noticed a pattern of "exit links" following downloads.

First of all, many of you know about the web track analysis tool called Statcounter. Narnia uses Statcounter because we're curious about who visits the blog and seeing what topics are popular.  Statcounter will break down a lot of different aspects for users and one of them is "downloads", which means someone is copying a picture from a post.  "Exit link" means the visitor has clicked on a location in the post to take a firsthand look at whatever the link was connected to - a webpage, an Instagram post, or a tweet.  Not any big deal at all. I know that my account is seen by various sites when I visit as well.  And we all share pictures that we have found elsewhere - one of the best parts about the internet.
But like anything else when there is an overabundance of activity, this heavy downloading raised our curiosity.  I clicked on a couple of the "exit links" of this particular visitor from "Brighton UK" and believe it or not, the source from the link no longer existed.  "Hmmm...okay, that's odd."  So I checked another one.  Also "no longer exists".  Already, the bad feeling was creeping in....

And it began to hit me what this visitor was doing.  I checked several more and if the links weren't scrubbed (deleted), the instagram or twitter account was now set on private.

Sometimes I will "embed" a tweet into a Narnia post, meaning I'm taking an HTML code that every tweet has and I can place it into the blog so that it will show up in its natural state like this:

But having learned from past mistakes (of links or pictures being taken down), I also will make a JPEG picture out of tweets and Instagram posts.  That way, if the tweet is deleted for whatever reason, I have a copy of it in its full, original form.  If you simply embed a tweet into a post and it gets deleted later on in time, the original formatting is not only lost, but you lose the link altogether! lol.  That's not good.

Let's take a look at a couple of examples of what was being seen:

Here is a snippet of a Narnia blog visit from our "Brighton UK visitor".   You can see the date and then the time, followed by the URL of the web page they looked at.  It might be a bit blurry, but in this small screenshot alone, one can see that "Brighton" was looking at many posts. This in itself is nothing unusual or alarming. Normally, it's welcomed.  But, there are three "Exit Link's" right in the middle of the activity, two of which say "twitter" following the HyperText Transfer Protocol.  So, if those links are opened, I can see that twitter account, but oddly, the account is now set to "Private", meaning that the account's tweets no longer can be seen. Of course, at the time the two links were selected for our post, the account was not on private.

So now, if I go back to the Narnia post that this link was used in (and this is the case for both of those "Exit link" tweets (because "Brighton" exited the post to look at both of them), the tweets now look like this:

In other words, now that the account has been "privated", no one can see the tweet in its original form.  As a result, this section of the post looks (aesthetically) messed up and, let's face it, the most desired effect is to view a tweet in its original form.

Let's look at another example to show that there is a pattern of suspicious activity that is targeting Narnia Dispatches. Because people do private their accounts at times or take a tweet down.  It does happen.  Nothing to Henny Penny about it as an isolated event.

But, here's more download activity by our visitor on March 7 after they were looking at Narnia's post on photoshopping called Dastardly Darkroom Doins: Wake Up Call for OTP Fans.  There was all kinds of downloading going on of the photoshopped pictures. But notice at 19:33:43, the reader exited on one of the hyperlinks (and there were hardly any hyperlinks in this post, mostly pictures):

That particular link was to provide an attribution to a blogger's page about how she used photoshop to insert a balcony where there really was none, but it was to help her own business, not for nefarious purposes at all.

Now, her post is gone:

Fortunately, this does not damage Narnia's post but if you try to click on the hyper link following the words "Well, this was an interesting find", the link is going to take you to the 404 page, as evidenced directly above.

Let's look briefly at two more Narnia posts where the embedded tweets took several hits:  Never Too Late to Take a Way Back Look at Jake Gyllenhaal and Cannes 2017  which was a recap of all of the OTT narratives with Jakers/Paul Dano/Lily Collins at Cannes and then there was The Perils of a Michigan Taco Run which focused on a Jakers' sighting in Michigan at a Taco Bell - in other words, a place he wasn't supposed to get spotted at. Remember, Michigan is where Austin's family is from.

Here's Brighton's visit.  Notice the pattern of looking at various posts, followed by several downloads and then at the end, several "exit links".  Two of these were the same tweet link.

Here is one of the places in the Cannes post where the "t.co" exit link" belonged to the tweet we had embedded for entertainment purposes.  ["t.co" in a URL indicates a tweet link] What remains are the words of the tweet ("jake gyllenhaal and steven yeun together at Cannes yes please thank you god"), but the tweet itself has been removed from the internet.

Notice, in the original Narnia post where the hyperlink reads (in green highlight) "pic.twitter.com/QgS9TtM7S8"?  That letter/number sequence matches the first listed exit link in the screenshot above at 23:18 of the visitor's activity:

"Pic.twitter" (which precedes the "t.co" in a URL link) also notes there is an image in that tweet.  So not only has the tweet now disappeared off the web, the attached picture is also gone.

Are you still with me? LOL! We're all getting a quick lesson here, aren't we?  Where's Mr Kotter, our teacher?  Where's Professor Kingsfield?  ;-)

Of those five exit links in the screen shot of Brighton's visit (of which two are identical, which means there were actually only four exit links) - all four are now deleted from the internet.

Here are two more examples.  One can match the twit pic code to the exit link codes above and see that they match. "po9yzZve2k" and "8IFNHerlWj" match.  This is how I'm able to link the coincidence of a now-deleted tweet to the viewing activity of this particular "visitor."  It's really not looking so coincidental anymore now is it?

And as for the Michigan Taco Run post from February 27, 2017?
Well, there were a couple of casualties.

The "Jake Gyllenhaal is on my flight and here I go fan girling again" tweet - that account is now private-d.  The "flying home with jake gyllenhaal" tweet which included a twit pic of Jake is now deleted entirely.  (Fortunately, I had that tweet saved as a JPEG and I have now re-inserted it into the post.) #Winning

Interestingly, the hinky "flying home with Jake Gyllenhaal" tweet is one that our visitor exited from. In this screenshot from a March 13 visit, one can see where the Michigan Taco Run post was being looked at and at the very bottom, the exit link which contains the code "kjWjaAsiRC". This code matches exactly the same alphabetical sequence in @sarashenasky's tweet pic code of "pic.twitter.com/kjWJaAsiRC":

So for the past fifteen days, from March 2 through today, the 16th, here are Narnia's stats for this particular "visitor":

75 returning visits
286 downloads of images

In addition to these findings, this particular poster has subsequently visited Narnia many times and, interestingly enough, after  reviewing each link, this was what was discovered:

6 deleted twitter accounts - (meaning the entire account is gone)

20 deleted tweets
1 twitter account goosestile (my twitter) was blocked from viewing
3 twitter accounts set to private which Narnia had embedded from
1 deleted website link
1 suspended twitter account
4 deleted Instagram posts

This is just a sampling of all the changes which have occurred since the time Narnia had full access to these social media links, which were used for blog posts. What a coincidence!  That's a large amount of scrubbing, I mean "changes", don't you think?

Well, maybe not such a coincidence really when one realizes that we are just months away from the beginnings of studio promotion for Spiderman: Far From Home, starring Jake as Mysterio alongside Junior, aka Tom Holland.  The flick will be the biggest movie Jake has worked on since Prince of Persia.  "Biggest" referring to budget and money spent on marketing.  Jake fans will not have seen the likes of this kind of promotion in many years, perhaps ever.

Disney's splashy influence on Prince of Persia was evident in the promotion back in 2010, and Jake was everywhere, promoting the film.  Spidey will be very much like Prince of Persia on steroids, of which we've already seen a few sneak peeks with the Brazil Comicon joint appearance and the plethora of "Romance with Junior" Instagrams, Instagram shipping comments, and Instagram heart-eyes stories.  Because the film involves both the Marvel Universe AND Sony Pictures, well....The Powers That Be would understandably be concerned about Jakers' "situation", one that involves his real-life same sex spouse and real life children.

Jake's name will be increasingly searched on the internet and highly ranked on Google.  His social media team is not excited about the prospect of posts like "Michigan Taco Run" or "The Masterpost of Toothy Tile, Grey Goose and Baby Tiles" showing up next to a picture of Mysterio and Spidey.  Hence, the markedly increased activity on Narnia Dispatches, the disappearance of tweets and hinky looking accounts online and suspicious emails coming into Narnia's mailbox.  A mailbox which, by the way, will no longer be accessible on our blog. Sorry trolls.

In parting, let's look at an interesting tweet and subsequent conversation that my social media account had with the tweeter:

Kind of interesting, isn't it?  No, no, no, no!  I'm not saying this is Jake visiting Narnia and scrubbing posts with his little magic eraser. LOL.  Not at all.

But it's interesting he was seen in the same city.  Brighton is an "English seaside resort town".  It is only an hour's train ride south of London.   Just sayin'!!  lol.

Supposedly Jake was in NYC around the time of this sighting.  But Brighton looks like a great place to spend some time, doesn't it?  Especially for a guy whose husband loves to be near water.

Back to the subject at hand!  Narnia is not throwing down the gauntlet on this suspicious activity.  We also do not make this a practice to dissect and observe visits.  However, this particular visitor stood out like a St. Bernard amongst a group of Weiner dogs so we took a closer look.

Narnia also does not hyper focus on visitors unless we are steadfastly confident of malicious intent or very suspicious activity. We enjoy sharing what we see and inviting others to come with open minds.  History has shown that Jake's team is heavy-handed.  This activity is like a sledgehammer.

But, they should know by now that we will not be intimidated by such tactics and we remain entertained, focused, determined, and most of all, in awe of all of our OTP's and honorary members.

Happy SXSW2016 Day!

It's March 12.  We all know the drill by now.  We know what went down.  The date, the occurrence. The city.  The film festival. The significance.

For any scoffer, any doubter, the picture confirmed the current relevancy of a relationship (in whatever capacity you believed) that many thought had drifted away down the Colorado River and never to be considered again.

There they were big as life, after a four (4) year drought of being photo'd together.  This was not an official paparazzi photo op.  It is not clear, nor will it likely ever be clear if the pictures were a stunt-gone-wrong or an "accidentally-on-purpose oopsie".

But it doesn't matter.  We were merely the benefactors.

Austin Nichols and Jake Gyllenhaal hanging together at Bangers in Austin, TX on March 12, 2016.

It was a beautiful thing.

Happy SXSW2016 Day!!! We'll never forget.

Sunday Musings: Loofahs, Muck and an OTP Shout-Out in Slo-Mo

• Once in a great while, there comes a shoddy headline or unsavory story where it feels like there aren't enough shower heads or loofah sponges within reach to scrub off the lingering "effects" of the muck left behind.  The following tweet, and accompanying picture, best encapsulates what one such slimy moment looked like this past Friday.

The first indication of what was about to come should have been detected straight away based on that attached palsy-walsy image, but it was actually the first eleven words which soiled the message at the outset and signaled the chaotic rubbish which was about to be flung into the universe.

"LISTEN NOW @Louis_Tomlinson is one of the most honest people"

First of all, Fig Wootton's application of the All Caps format with, "LISTEN NOW," set the stage for what was about to come.  Obviously, this attention grabber was not only meant to convey authority, but since megaphones aren't allowed on twitter, the world-wide amplification of the message was understood.  Of course he also makes sure to use one of Louis' most appealing and well-known traits against him, as a sales pitch for his own benefit.  In other words, because "you all" value his honesty so much, listen to my podcast to hear Louis not lie.  Don't believe anything that you already know to be a verifiable fact, or actually have seen with your own eyes, because you're finally going to get the gospel according to Louis.

"he's laying it all out"
"He opens up"

#TwoOfUs -  to grab that currently engaged audience.

"1D reunion" - also a sales pitch lure

#XFactor - plug

Then there's that picture.  The grubby hands, Simon Cowell-esque don't-move-remember-your-place-as-a-powerless-man-and-don't-you-forget-it.  The physical contact is also supposed to make folks think these two guys must be the best of friends. Otherwise, Louis surely wouldn't let someone like that interview him and allow lies to be published about him, would he?  Of course not! Louis is an honest man, remember? Pffft.

But, let's look a bit closer at that body language between Louis and Fig Wootton. That arm around the shoulder is most definitely a power move.  Situations can be different, but looking at the history of Wootton and his "professional" "collaborative" relationship to Simon Cowell and Simon Jones (Louis' PR in name only since he literally does nothing positive for him), well, let's just say there's solid reason not to see any friendly gesture going on here. More like a real "captive" moment if you will. And because Wootton and Jones are openly gay, surely Syco and it's tagalong tabloid mouthpiece must be supportive of Louis and his career, right?

Touch is highly dependent on both situation and culture.

Cultures always have rules about touching. Some are more liberal and others very ‘no touch’. Variables include pressure and where to touch, with rules about gender, age and seniority.

In general, touch implies one of two things: friendship or threat. For me to let another person touch me, I must first trust them and secondly understand their intent.

Men often use touch as a power signal, with threat cloaked in friendship. Touching other men as well as women, particularly in the workplace, says ‘I can break social rules because I am powerful’. Done with a smile and gentle touch on arm or shoulder it seems friendly, but the situation will tell more about what it could mean.

Simon Cowell has made that dominant move on many occasions:

Then there's Louis and Rob Stringer at a post-Grammy's party, Feb 2016:

The ol' one-two (Stringer on one side, Cowell on the other):

http://28nachos.tumblr.com/post/177282645407/imlouistomlinson-la-2208

Fig Wootton's podcast, which was really nothing more than a retread-of-old-topics, strategically landed on Friday, March 8, just as Louis' new single "Two of Us" had been climbing up the charts globally, and had become available for download on iTunes the day before.  Nothing new, just rehashes of rehashed old topics:  Harry.  Larry. Conspiracy Theories. The Larrie Fandom. Zayn.  Reunion of 1D.  Eleanor.   Dan "Fig" Wootton is like Clark Griswold who can't get out of the roundabout and telling everyone "Look kids, Big Ben! Parliament!"

The goal (or should we say the agenda) is quite clear by now. Sabotage Louis' record launch by getting him to go on the record about topics that would alienate a large part of his loyal fandom. As always, think about why Cowell would want to do that and I think you will have your answer. The pattern is well-established by now. Devalue the 1D brand. Gaslight and factionalize fans (pit one group against the other). Attack Larries with conspiracy theories and hopefully, finally, after nearly nine years of trying (e.g., Bullshit 1.0; Bullshit 2.0; Freddie; the public separation of Louis and Harry; the peculiar return of Eleanor), convince everyone that Harry and Louis are not a couple, damn it! What was that quote by Elton John again? Oh, yeah.

“When a rumor doesn't go away, it's not a rumor.”

Let's be clear. Nearly a decade later, Larry Stylinson no longer qualifies as a rumor. No matter how many times TPTB bully, gaslight, and/or stomp their feet. Louis and Harry are in love and in a committed relationship. They are family. No matter how hard you try to erase their worth or their status.

BREAKING NEWS!  Speaking of Simon Cowell's relentless campaign aimed at undermining Louis' career, guess who Louis just began to follow on Instagram? An artist by the name of Sam Martin who just happens to have a single out called, "Sabotage," - released on January 18, 2019. Looks like SBB is alive and kicking and we love him for it. We here at Narnia have immense respect for you, Mr. Tomlinson. Keep up the fight and so shall we. #We'veGotYourBack

To sum up, this Fig Wootton episode from March 8 is really another reminder that despite successful solo releases, tours and public appearances, during this Hiatus from Hell, none of the 1D men (including Zayn) are truly free (with the curious public exception of Niall Horan who seems to have much more perceived autonomy).  And it's more than obvious that Louis, Liam, and Harry are not out from under the control of Syco, and they still have some form of contractual obligations and image rights shackles.  These balls & chains include, but are not limited to the following groping tentacles, otherwise known as Cheryl Cole, Piers Morgan, Dan "Fig" Wootton, Capital FM, Simon Cowell, Gigi Hadid, Eleanor, Freddie Reign, Bear Payne, the Azoffs, the Clarks and B. Jungworth, etc. Well you get the point.  It's not over until it's over. One has to wonder by now what the real reason behind this so-call hiatus was. And, let's just say that it most definitely was not about rest or personal ambition on the part of 1D. No, what's become obvious after three years of this Groundhog Day time loop is how Sony/Syco is completely obsessed with getting rid of the Larrie fandom. And, that they have identified Louis as the vehicle to best accomplish their homophobic goal. In their warped minds they can kill two birds with one stone. Remember, if they succeed, Louis' career will fail. A win-win for Sony/Syco who have always identified Louis as the main threat to their power. The trick for all of us who support 1D and Louis and Harry, is to outlast TPTB. Because contracts do eventually end. And good guys can beat the odds.

• And speaking of tentacles, someone has had them reaching for and latching onto Liam for several weeks now.  Between associating him with notorious beard Naomi Campbell, "old flame" Cheryl Tweedy Fernandez-Versini Cole, and even standing within handshake distance of another 1D beard, Bella Hadid, Liam is being run ragged lately. In the Fig Wootten interview, Louis had to even note that he had not seen him in months. Funny how Cowell couldn't wait to sell the friendship for his inane X-Factor Judges House show last Fall. But, now we are to think that they don't even stay in touch much. No doubt because Liam is so busy chasing a near quinquagenarian. You would have thought that, at 25, Liam would have caught her by now. LOLLLLL! That is if he was really interested, which we so know he's not.

Here's a desperate example of pushing a fauxmance when you have nothing:

Stand in front of an apartment building:

A rag headline spotting:

Play the "elusive" game so that you don't have to go on the record:

Attend the "SAME!" events:

Create a fake "cheating" scandal against fake beau:

And then while one is at it, let's use Liam's twitter account to get him involved in a nasty online "argument" with Piers Morgan:

This comes after another account takeover to ridicule and disrespect 1D fans in response to a suspicious account's accusatory tweet:

In other words, it's been Open Hunting Season on Liam Payne. More so than usual, let us phrase it that way.  It has been difficult to watch; Narnia cannot imagine what it must be like to actually live it.

• Back on October 20 last year 2018, Austin posted on his Instagram about a film "Free Solo", which he was very much inspired by:

Here's a different shot:

Notice Jimmy Chin's words of thanks on Austin's post.

And then Jake posted about the same film on his Facebook, one day later on October 21.

Jimmy Chin posted his thanks to Jake as well:

And then, in a move that we at Narnia blew off because the photos involved yet another "screening" [go 'head, go 'head chastise us, we deserve it!], Jake pulled a little hubby shoutout in that subtle way that he can:

Here's a link to the Just Jared post:  Jake hosting screening for Free Solo

Jake's screening publicity focused on the climber and the directors.  But in the below Zimbio picture, is someone second from the right who is also affiliated with the film.  This screening occurred on January 9, in support of the film's Oscar nomination for Best Documentary.  The man second from the right is Evan Hayes, who is a producer with Free Solo.  He also was an executive producer for Jake's film, Everest.

Fast forward to this past Thursday, Mar 7 and Austin tweeted the following.  Here's Austin with a rather firm grip on the joystick, I mean Oscar statuette.  ;-)

Not only tweeted, but he posted on Instagram and dropped a mention that Evan Hayes used to be a college roommate of his back in his USC days.

Boy, when these two 38 year old ornery-kins do their shoutouts to each other, don't you feel like you just walked a marathon following along with the clues?

I mean, that covered several months, several websites, different names....it really was the Encyclopedia Britannica edition.  LOL!

Awwww, but we won't complain.  We have the patience, we can do this!  And it's JAKE & AUSTIN!!!  We'll walk across any desert for a thirst quenching when it involves those two.

• And to round out our Sunday Musings, here's some stupendous photos of Narnia's honorary member (because he is just such an exceptional button and quarterback), Mr. Patrick Mahomes!!  Here he was in a splendid black cherry suit at last night's 101 Banquet, held at the Kansas City Marriott Hotel downtown.

Look at this cutie!!!  What a charmer.

Okay, okay, okay.  Better cool it or this author could go on forever!  lol.  M&M handles the more eloquent and intricate details, while I'm good for the slobbering part.  ;-)

As indicated in a previous comment on our last post, we were going to include an update on a story we've been following and has come to our attention again this past week, but because of further interesting findings, we feel that the topic deserves its own post.  So we'll look forward to bringing that to Narnia next time around.

Have a great Sunday and blown mwah's to all of our fave fellas on Narnia.
