It's an Austin Walker Stalker Con Weekend - the Boston Edition 2016

Going to postpone a different post I was working on and switch gears for today because this morning, we are already being blessed with all kinds of Austin pictures from the Boston Walker Stalker con!!! It's the man in black again. I don't know but maybe Austin is packing it all in his wallet, so to speak. Nothing but the clothes on his back.

This Little Pinkie

Austin and his niece along with a butterfly and what looks to be a pinkie ring.

Jake wearing what looks to be...yes, it is also a pinkie ring in a fairly recent photo because he's got that Okja moustache-io.

I can't recall the last time Austin was seen wearing a ring on any of his fingers in a paparazzi picture. At least dating back to his days with beard Sophia.

Do you reckon Big Blue ever gets a dust-off and shines under the sparkle of the evening lights anymore? And what happened to this ring? Maybe that one makes it out of the ol' valet once in awhile, too???

Those Special Powers of Instagram (only Celebrities Need Apply)

A big thank you to FlyMeToTheMoon for her sharp-eye tip this evening on finding this article. Very interesting piece on delicate snowflake Taylor Swift and the special power her Instagram account has been bestowed with now.

The internet has never been known for being a safe place for your self-esteem, thanks to angry, hurtful commenters. But now there may be a new tool coming to help cut down on online harassment and bullying—in the form of a new Instagram filter. The catch? It's just for the rich and famous, starting with Taylor Swift.

Last week's news was all about how Kim Kardashian posted an incriminating video catching the singer in a lie about Kardashian's husband Kanye West. Almost immediately, Swift's social media accounts were inundated with negative comments, mostly in the form of snake emojis.

But the Shake It Off singer isn't letting it get to her, with some high-tech help. Instagram is reportedly allowing Swift to use a new special filter that automatically deletes negative comments. "In an unprecedented move, the photo-sharing site Instagram has quietly handed the American singer a unique 'tool' that enables her to remove only negative or abusive comments made in response to images she has posted," - The Times reports.

An anti-negativity filter? What kind of genius is this and where can the rest of us get one? Instagram hasn't exactly confirmed this as the reason for the disappearance of hundreds of comments, but "we're always looking for ways to help people have a positive experience with comments on Instagram," an Instagram spokesperson told the Daily Mail.

Not that ol' Tay is sitting there in her parlor reading Instagram comments with hurt feelings, but just in case, her Mgmnt team wants to shield her eyes.

Very interesting, isn't it? What else is getting filtered in social media? Tweet sightings? Yanked from visibility within minutes of airing? Talk about magic wands.

The reaction from 1D fans was strong, with many questioning the direction of the group and their recent different solo projects. But one of a couple of tweets from family members can be reassuring:

Camera One

Because Instagram and Twitter don't seem to be enough medium to sell stories for the closeted, bearding couples, they've been joined by another playmate - Snapchat.

One important thing to remember with both Instagram and Snapchat when they're being used for GPS placement:

Pictures and videos do not mean real-time, live, late-breaking vids. Not when you can use pictures and videos uploaded from your cell phone or tablet with an app. Which means you can upload to Snapchat on a delayed basis.

It astounds me how so many fans take word for word what they are told with one picture/vid and a few words. A dish with fancy food on a white plate on a white tablecloth instantly becomes a romantic meal for two on a birthday and forever coupled bliss. And a camera emoji beside a tagged name means that person was present, taking the picture? Says who?

A picture of the closeted bearding couple at an event, but posted by another individual in "the business" gives the Instagram post legitimacy? Not when you're dealing with the Hollywood closet. Favors beget favors. Or maybe it's about actually preserving the Hollywood Closet and ensuring that it remains intact.

Just my thoughts on a couple things to think about and question when looking at "snaps" and "Insta's".

Jake Back in Front of the Camera Again (finally)

Well, after one of the longest breaks, Jake is back before the cameras again, filming in New York City in the Netflix film, Okja. Okja is being directed by Joon-ho Bong and some of Jake's co-stars are Lily Collins, Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano (Prisoners co-star) and Steven Yeun (co-star of Austin's from The Walking Dead).

And if Papa is working, you know what that means...I think Daddy is back to making PB&J sandwiches again. Except this time it's not Roberto making them for him, he's making them for the flock.

The only question is, is Daddy a triangle cutter? Or a rectangle cutter? Hmmmmm....

These Suit Me Just Fine

Well, going to try again here. If the Ghost of Christmas Live Journal has followed me here, I'm liable to pitch a fit. LOL.
Okay, as I was saying earlier, it's time for a little Friday feeling. And we have some guys rocking the suit. Let's get to it.

Not many like to don the threads like Jensen Ackles. The haircut is as stylish as the tux.

Naturally, followed by Jared...

Zayn...there's nothing like coat tails

I think Jake can rock a suit second to none, but I tell you what. Liam has got it. He knows how to wear it, how to carry himself. I know a trench coat isn't exactly a suit jacket, but it looks really good here.

Several of these pics feature navy suits. Here's Kaner, Patrick Kane looking pretty darn smart in blue. This midnight blue is a striking color.

I think this means that Jonathan Toews is up. ;-) Toews
can pose it. These two pics don't really reflect it, but Jonny is like Liam and Jake - he can really carry it. I picked the second one because of the scarf.

Louis is just so handsome, isn't he? Louis stands straight and proud, I love it. And then there's a gorgeous blue suit. love those brown shoes with that color.

And I know that Mr. Styles sports some Craig Sager-like suits, but not on this post anyway, lol. I love the hearts shirt...

And then you have Adam, who can wear just about anything with any degree of flash. This brown suit is one of my absolute favorite suits I've ever seen.

And last night I had only one lone picture of Kristopher Allen, but lo and behold, tonight brings the addition of a bronze sparkly number. Go, Kris!! The first pic is just too cute. Kris would look adorable in a friar's robe.

And finally, we have the two elder statesmen of the group. First, here we go with Mr. Austin Nichols...big credit to OhMyGodot & Special for having the tux pic.

And if this was Austin, then that must mean Jake is in the on deck circle. In the on deck circle and batting ninth!! lol. Jake sets a pretty high standard on rocking the suit. There are so many great tux pics out there with him, but there's just something about that gold tie. It made the perfect splash of color.

And there they are on the Narnia runway. No, lol, just kidding. Very nice, very nice, fellas.

When Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik broke up, their lives were extremely intertwined. They lived together, they were engaged, and they even shared some pups. Tums, please, after reading all of that! RME. Seriously though, look at all of those - how the dogs are used as a sign of "family formation", "domesticity, aka settling down", "co-habitating".

Are these dogs a close second substitute if the bearding/merkin'ing couple do not want to take the marriage/baby route? I would not be surprised if that is one of the reasons. Are the dogs fodder for the social media accounts? Absolutely. After all, you can only stick your tongue out or point at each other so many times.

Using dogs/puppies as deards does not seem to be a practice that will go away anytime soon. It makes sense that cats are not used to "bind" a couple together, right? Because no one walks their cat. You can't see the cat, but you can see the dog. Walk the dog.

Maybe Canary Local 0424 will ask for equal opportunity, huh? lol

The 'Slutting' of an Unlikely Image

It's a pattern becoming a little too familiar. A low-key or good-natured closeted individual who would seem to step out of character by way of social media, ie Twitter, Instagram, Facebook. Sometimes it is the celebrity him/herself who appears to be doing the stepping in the first person, ie Jared Padalecki and his infamous American Airlines rants. Or it is Austin Nichols whose Twitter account was for quite awhile DM'ing under-aged young girls. Or it is second-hand, a public story making the rounds which just doesn't ring quite true, ie being a "pothead". Jake, anyone?

Now in the case of Jonathan Toews, it's not as distasteful as Austin's Twitter account DM'ing under-aged female fans, but it's wince-worthy enough by way of a video which appeared on Vimeo on Tuesday, Jul 5 very early in the morning (4:32am Central Time). What is hinky to me is the video is posted by a new account on Vimeo called TazeKane. The acct was set up just 4 days ago and this is the first and only post on their bright and shiny account. Was it the first site to have the video? Watch at your own "risk", lol. I could only make it through a couple of minutes.

For Toews, well, how do you defend against a guy who does everything so well and plays with such a competitive edge? He has earned the nickname ‘Captain Serious’ honestly. But those close to him will tell you that’s only a small part of his personality. Toews is actually a laid-back guy away from the rink. On this night, he’s asked to do a meet and greet with the family of a disabled young girl and he handles the situation with aplomb. The amount of pictures of Jonathan involved in the community are numerous in several different venues. And he certainly seems very at ease with children. He seems to go the extra yard as seen in this video. I mean, ironing a badge on a Girl Scout vest? That's just above and beyond. ;-) The former Girl Scout in me appreciates the cookie sale.

For whatever reason, Management seems to think it is necessary to "slut up" the image of 1/2 of the OTP. Lucky for us, enough of the good preceded the "slut", enabling us to sense that something just isn't right when videos like the 4th of July Vimeo appear to have dropped from the sky.

lol. Hey, some of your best eating places can be those converted gas stations (see Kansas City Joe's BBQ), but JP's gives a whole new meaning to grease spoon. ;-)

This is one of the things I love about Austin, though. His love for bad-for-you food. He makes me feel like there's hope for someone like myself yet. Keep on crunching, AN, and stick close to your little Saucy Hot y sus muchos Taquitos.

A Look Back at the Ralph's Grocery Tweet from 2013

I'll always remember something that both Special K and M&M have told me and that is sometimes things don't always make full sense until a later time. But when you see something about your OTP online somewhere that catches your eye for some reason, hang onto it. Tuck it away, file it.

Of course, in this case, it was a tweet I happened to see way back on August 14 2013.

And that tweet from the very beginning stuck out as someone who knew Austin. She just sounded too familiar with him (although he never answered her tweet. LOL!). And so the other day, M&M happened to notice something - @KristiMahe was from Vancouver.

She bounces back and forth between LA and Vancouver, but she moved within Canada from Edmonton to Vancouver when she was 18 years old. She is a model and an actress, so is impossible to tell how she knew Austin.

Another thing - Kristi suffered a severe hearing loss due to meningitis. She tweets several times about signing with folks. This could also explain why she tweeted at Austin. Perhaps the best way to get in touch with him was on social media.

There's that Vancouver connection yet again. Could it be that is from where she knew Austin Nichols? Just wondering now. But, the thought is worth pondering.

Well, kind of a salute. This 4th of July, as folks partake in the All-American hot dog or hamburger, maybe some BBQ, or tacos? Subs? Deviled eggs? Whatever the fare may be, here's a look back at how our boys have enjoyed the art of partaking. Dining. Devouring. Chowing down. Strapping on the ol' feed bag. Enjoy!
