Caution: Big Smile Ahead at the Medical Building

I don't know about you all, but I generally am not smiling a whole lot anywhere near a medical/doctor's building, lol.  But in a Tuesday Turnback, let's revisit January 29 2010 in a short video that was uploaded onto YouTube a few days later on Feb 2.  Here is Jake Gyllenhaal "at" a medical center, and looking none too unhappy about it.

Camera a little shaky?  Here are a few stills (courtesy of IHJ)

What or who was in that van that made Jake linger (even walk) alongside and smile so brightly, even for a few moments after the van had driven on?

A great looking movie script?  Another puggle puppy?  Austin Nichols striking a pose, pretzel-like in the backseat?  How about cashmere upholstery? ;-)

Maybe it would help to paint a micro Baby Tile timeline.  We know that Baby Tile No. 1 was born on October 17, 2007.  Clues point towards twins being born in late, late 2008 / early 2009 (if not twins, then at least one baby seems highly likely)  Could it have been a year's check up, a few weeks off schedule?  Maybe one of the kiddos had the sniffles?

Fun to speculate now after having watched so much unfold in the years since.  I myself think there was one, maybe two Baby Tiles in the back seat.  Jake peers too long into the van and that smile is unlike any smile we see these days.

It's like seeing the footprints of Bigfoot, isn't it?  Crop circles in the corn fields?  So close and yet....so far.  ;-)

Postscript: The Perils of Publicists Needing to Have the Last Word

For anyone who has participated in an online fandom focused on a closeted celeb or couple, certain patterns emerge rather quickly. Besides the inevitable mental abuse of gaslighting (using psychological means to manipulate others by having them question their own sanity), there are the 24/7 trolls who harass, ridicule and try to marginalize those who are not willing to toe the party line of management.

Besides the constant queerbaiting that aggressively pushes an implied homophobia (because according to The Powers That Be no one willingly closets themselves), there's also a tried and true technique of divide and conquer to partition and pit one group against another (often believers [hats] against hets) to hopefully  use peer pressure to crack down on what is perceived as subversive talk. In actuality this "troublemaking" talk is really nothing more than non-obliging people expressing an independent opinion about what is being seen and heard and refusing to be silenced.

Probably my favorite closeting technique and one that Jake Gyllenhaal and Austin Nichols' team use on a regular ad nauseum basis is that of photoshopping while also recruiting other performers, media outlets and personalities into shipping the "stories" they are trying to sell the public. Most recently, Prairie Girl and I have written about the Women's March on Washington and the myriad of photographic peculiarities associated with the day regarding the extent of Jake's "participation." But, as is often the case with paranoid bullies, management simply can't allow any dissent. They must have the last word, particularly when others' observations are dangerously close to uncovering the truth. Subsequently, a few more hilarious attempts happened since last Saturday's coverage that are most entertaining.

Of all the stunts that took place last week, the one that stood out the most involved CNN and actually kicked off the day's narrative. As a quick refresher, the push back efforts on the part of Jake's team all started when Narnia Dispatches had the audacity to question why Jake was the only celebrity the network announced to be at the DC march, but who didn't want to be seen or interviewed on camera. Like clockwork, the on the air pronouncement was quickly followed up with the necessary social media documentation:

Not surprisingly, Jake's people were concerned about Narnia's insights about why Jake was the only celebrity singled out by the network so just three days later on Tuesday, January 24th, a highly cropped cheek to cheek photo emerged out of nowhere of Jake and CNN's Van Jones:

When no one took the bait, another hilarious second photo of Jake and Van Jones appeared. No doubt the strategic intention was to stop any further questioning on this topic by supplying a another bit of visual evidence that Jake had indeed interacted with CNN that day. The  familiar "look people, here's another photo of Jake with a high profile liberal commentator from the network, just like we said" response. The only problem was that the second fauxtographic image provided was even more bizarre than the first one:

Looking closely, the most hysterical aspect of this image are Jake's legs. Get a load of how his knees are practically on the ground, his lower limbs actually blurred to hopefully hide the distorted body alignment. What's even funnier is someone must have panicked because by Friday the account that had posted the best buds together at the DC march photo (daniebb3) deleted it from her Instagram. Oh! What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.

After surviving the mire and muck of that nonsense, let's cleanse the palate a bit by reminding ourselves of what reality actually looks like. No smoke or mirrors needed here because this is the kind of simple storytelling that needs no rewrites. No edits.

Tenderness. Adoration. Lust. Love.

Whew! Looks like there is nothing wrong with our eyes. Or the ability to see what's real. No photoshopping necessary.

From the Idea Room: A Queer Eye for the Straight Guy "New" and Rebooted

In yet another recycled idea for the benefit of screen viewers, Netflix announced today that they are bringing back a 2017 version of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, with production to start in the spring.  Queer Eye was a reality show featuring heterosexual men who wanted an overall life makeover. The show aired on Bravo from 2003 through 2007.  There were five men who traveled across the country to help these men in need, remember them?  Carson Kressley, Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Felicia and Jai Rodriguez.

Preliminary plans are for eight episodes of the re-do and it will be interesting to see if new and "2017" will be as popular as the original.   The original five stars went on to star on their own shows, guest star, or achieve some degree of professional success, but together on Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, they were unique and developed a loyal fan base.

From Sept 26, 2016, Carson Kressley

Ted Allen with partner Barry Rice

Kyan Douglas from 2013

Jai Rodriguez

And Thom Felicia

Awww, it would be nearly impossible to top these guys, what do you think?  It is extreme fun to go back and recall this lively show.
Hilarious to watch these old highlights...

The Stunt Side of the Women's March on Washington

WARNING:  THERE ARE TWO INSTANCES OF THE F-WORD IN TWO OF THE PICTURES USED IN TODAY'S POST.

In a move which really is not surprising, it turns out that yesterday's Women's March on Washington was the perfect opportunity to ship a couple of PR narratives.  1)  Jake Gyllenhaal is an advocate for women's rights, and  2)  Jake Gyllenhaal can't be gay because he loves women (and even invited his "longtime female pal" Greta Caruso to accompany him at the women march.) Because remember, Jake can't get enough of women.

This is the twit pic which appeared first of Mr. JBG (not necessarily the original source):

And was followed promptly on I Heart Jake with 21 pictures so far (as of 21:19 hrs on 1/21), all listed as "fan photos".  Let's take a look (a few of these are in their original tweet form):

How about a thumbs up?

https://mcavoys.tumblr.com/post/156188533607/maggie-gyllenhaal-and-jake-gyllenhaal-attend-the

Now it's very possible, a few may have been missed - there were so many.  LOL!  As stated, these were as of 21:00 21:59 hrs printing. This number could well increase by tomorrow morning within the next 15 5 2 minutes. *wink*
So there we have a bit of a pictorial white board presentation on Jake's presence at the Women's March.  There were a few oddities yesterday that we wanted to cover.

Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie's husband, was supposed to be there.

But there was no sign of Peter.  People were tweeting pictures at him about the gathering and Peter himself was retweeting a few "informative" tweets, but there were not pictures of him in attendance at all, just Big Sis and Lil' Bro, cheek to cheek.

Another side eye was the "presence" or pretend presence of Austin's beard, Chloe Bennet, at the Women's March in DC.  Did Bennet offer any undeniable proof she was there?  Nope.

Pictures like this and videos without the author don't cut it:

Also, Hey Donny, everyone here knows you have a small penis. #womensmarchonwashington
A photo posted by Chloe Bennet (@chloebennet) on

Just to reiterate a point made before in the past - anyone at an event or venue can film a video/take a picture, email or text it to a publicist, who in turn can upload it on the celebrity's social media account.  This is no longer proof that a celebrity is present.
Even a selfie isn't necessarily proof.

This is an Instagram story from Bennet. We hear her voice, but she's not in the video.  We have no proof who took the video.

The picture below of Jake and Maggie contains several questionables, like why is the bag under Jake's arm flat?  In other pictures, the bag obviously has contents in it.  I look at the two brown shoes directly behind the brunette girl standing behind him. Is that person on top of the girl's back? Because that's what it looks like.  And yes, Maggie is listed at 5'9", but in this picture, they are both on level ground.  Is Jake really that much taller than she is? These are just a couple of things that I had to question.

I have 95% doubt Maggie was there at the march.  To repost one of the other pictures again, there was this one in particular:

http://theperksofbeingmaryelizabeth.tumblr.com/post/156216423619/life-is-interesting

Just wondering where Maggie was when this moment happened?

And speaking of "where was", one has to wonder about Austin in all of this.  On Friday night, Austin uploaded this on his Facebook (or somebody did):

Austin wanted to make it clear he was in Los Angeles watching movies on Friday night.  Since he tweeted about the Women's March in Austin TX later in the day yesterday,

in addition to this heartfelt tribute:

A photo posted by Austin Nichols (@austinnichols) on

it is to be assumed he had substantial interest.  (Look at the picture above that Austin re-posted from Bennet onto his own Instagram  - only a couple of people visible in the background.  Where is everyone?)  One has to wonder why he didn't accompany his bird Chlo to Washington DC, even though they had just been to that very same city (quite noisily, too - I seem to recall that great "White House" photo) this past fall.

21 pictures and numerous tweets and retweets/Instagrams/Instagram Stories/Facebooks later, I guess maybe I  just need to remember this:

Funny how he didn't want to talk to anyone and answer questions, but he sure didn't mind 16 GB's of photos being uploaded to the Internet within a few hours time. So much for incognito.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but the only person I am 100% certain was in attendance in Washington DC yesterday was Jake. Honorary mention tip to Greta Caruso, who is - make no mistake about it - the current beard for Jake.  Everyone else? I don't think they were there.

Largest stunt I think we've witnessed up to this point in following Jake and Austin.  And no doubt, the stunt was to separate these two.  With Austin loudly planted in "Los Angeles" and Jake blowhorned in DC?  The separation is clear and was supported by a cast of thousands.

Update:  January 23, 2017, 48 hours later

Of course, at this point two days later one has to wonder why IHJ was driven to add a whole additional page of pictures, most which were focused on exhibiting Jake and Maggie amidst civilians at the parade.  Huh.  I wonder what could have prompted that?  Let's have a look-see:

The southeast view:

Does that cover it, Mack?  Narnia will be here round the clock to bring any important updates and late breaking, live action pictures as they are added to the gallery.
