Liam Payne is 'The Boss'

In the very near future, this will be Mr. Liam James Payne on the red carpet. Hey, wait a minute. He's been his own Chairman of the Board for quite awhile now, don't you think?  But, to add onto his unique public image, the "Polaroid" singer was also recently pegged as Hugo Boss' new global brand ambassador, targeting  their younger demographic.  The brand will be a spin-off of Hugo Boss, simply called HUGO and will offer more casual selections of clothing.

Liam should excel in this new career venture given his background in public relations, (aka boyband media trained), and his impressive professional posture and comfort level on the stage.  At only 25, Liam has shown an ability to carry himself and he has demonstrated that he cares about his appearance, already checking the boxes for authenticity and salesmanship. His new campaign called "Hugo x Liam Payne" will launch in July during Berlin Fashion Week.

Narnia likes what they have seen from Liam thus far, especially with his refreshing explanation about the motivation behind his new business commitment.

I knew if I wanted to do something in fashion it should be with HUGO,” says the singer-songwriter. “They design clothes that guys like me want to wear. Fashion started out as a hobby for me, but I’m loving being part of the creative process.” - Esquire Middle East

And indeed, Liam has several band mates he can talk with about fashion, doesn't he?  So, "casual wear" and "street wear" sounds a bit different from maybe this period in time in 2017?

The young Brit has had a bit of a style evolution since he left One Direction. He told Esquire: “My style and my fashion sense are all quite laid back now because that's kind of the way I am as well. I don't feel the need to hide behind the clothes anymore. I feel I can just be who I am and enjoy myself.”

All you need to do is look at the chains that Payne draped around his neck during the release of his singles a few years ago to appreciate just how far the singer has come. A man who was, in his words, a bit confused.

“Strip That Down’ was amazing and I was really happy with the success of it – but it didn't necessarily paint the right picture of me and who I actually am,” he said.

“I always found, to start off with, that with a lot of the chains and the clothes and the fashion, I was kind of hiding behind something. It's a bit like being stuck out in deep water and you're just going 'well, it would be really nice to get back now.'" - Esquire Middle East

Narnia isn't going to throw down the gavel on the "Liam chain" and beanie not being Liam's idea thesis. Although looking back now, the uncharacteristic accessory sure does smell of Sony Syco sabotage, doesn't it? Moreover, it's pretty darn interesting that the showy jewelry assumed a prominent place in this article from Simon Cowell's favorite mouthpiece, The Sun, which was  entitled "Liam Payne Steps Out Wearing Two Huge Gold Chains," and commenced with this crack:

"LIAM Payne has been spotted in his massive gold chain once again – and this time he’s updated the look by throwing a second one around his neck." The Sun - need we say more?

But enough of that!  We're here to join Liam in putting that to rest and glad to see Liam is starting a new side gig.  Those were some encouraging and exciting words from our guy; now, we look forward to seeing what fashion designs he will be debuting in July.

All our best wishes, Liam!   You are qualified and gifted.  Right?

July can't come soon enough!

And what about that Louis Tomlinson?  Louis had quite the day yesterday at the Free Radio Hits Live Birmingham, a musical concert event held in the UK.  Louis' participation was announced in early April and highly anticipated by fans.  He thrilled the audience, many who sang along with the lyrics during his three-number set.

Louis' music wasn't the only gold gem to come out of yesterday's event.  There was also this lovely throwback that turned out to be quite relevant today.  *wink*

The chicken stuffed with mozzarella, wrapped in parma ham story, and one that Louis said yesterday is the most romantic thing he's done to this date:

We here at Narnia will let everyone guess who that dining experience was tied to? But, let's just say his first name rhymes with Marry and he is an individual whose own fashion sense is known to be quite Stylish, if you will.

Indeeeeeeed...very nice, Louis!!   Oh, and then there was this:

These One Direction men never cease to amaze and uplift, do they?  Never hurts to hear this confirmation from the man himself!

Let's all raise our Sunday kudos to Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson today -  powerful in their confidence, inner strength, and integrity.  They have experienced and witnessed so much in their young lives and continue to inspire.

My admiration for these two young men only continues to grow. They've both been through a lot, some similar challenges and different personal struggles. But both have risen and continue to rise.

I couldn't be more proud of the tunes on today's player. Love all three numbers so much!

Good GRIEF!! This post took a long time only because with my lousy WiFi connection, it took forever to wait for gifs to load.

My time here is almost up and while I will miss little Coco, I wait with anticipation for a real WiFi connection, lol.
