Well, someone made the best of some potholes in the above photo, didn't they? π Ugh, potholes really aren't funny though, are they?
As we begin to leave pothole season, there are a few other personal life situations that seem to have bothered someone regarding Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce, that we don't want to ignore or forget. Personal life details that obviously bothered someone enough to be considered potholes in need of patching up or resurfacing, if you will.
And since these are situations that have been ongoing for quite awhile, well, we are curious - just who were they bothering?
We're here to look at three of them today.
1) This blogger had already heard over last summer that Travis either was living in a new home or was having one built at Loch Lloyd, Missouri and that it was close to Patrick's residence. Because the "scoop" came via a second source, it was nice to see there was some reinforcement on social media. But still, one should take with a grain of salt, right?
As the fauxmance between Travis and Taylor Swift progressed in the fall, the "sightings" and mentions of Swift hanging at Travis' house, were placing them at Briarcliff West, which was where Travis used to live (and may have moved there in very early 2020, late 2019 if this comment from a local neighborhood chat blog is accurate).
This below was posted in late November of 2019. Looks like maybe this was the Briarcliff West move.
However, last summer '23, there were a couple of new updates mentioned unwittingly by area residents. The first tweet was a retweet about Patrick's new house in Loch Lloyd and brings up a new neighbor. Was Travis on the move again?
In October, came yet another in-the-know who was spilling. Unwittingly. π
In mid-September, there was this interesting twitter mention (via a Shifty account) from the usually unreliable and untrustworthy "Doom Oui" aka Deux Moi. It was about a "sighting" of Swift and Travis, where? In Loch Lloyd.
Did Doom Oui get the location wrong? lol. Oops! |
In the meantime, we, the general public, were led to believe that Travis was still at Briarcliff West and that "paparazzi" were beginning to cause discomfort for the "couple" due to stalking. We saw videos and photos of Travis getting gas and going to convenience stores, the Midwest version of Jake Gyllenhaal at Erewhon's and Peet's Coffee!
The alleged sandwich pick-up below was at Firehouse Subs, a location that is 3.7 miles from Briarcliff West. I mean, the idea of "paparazzi" hanging in Kansas City is just laughable.
Firehouse Subs on Vivion Road, really? |
And
Firehouse Subs??? I'm sorry, I don't know how a Firehouse sandwich is
going to satisfy Travis, lol. Oh, well, whatever. Sandwiches are the
least of our worries, unfortunately.
But wait. These next sightings which came in November, were in a totally different city.
At Hen House. Hen. House. In Leawood, Kansas. Mind blown because this blogger frequents the strip malls in this area, now and then.
What are we doing here? Seems like someone is confusing the midwest with New York City and L.A.
2) What's also funny about the whole pumping gas, driving Miss Shifty around in his Rolls Royce, going to Granfalloon in the Rolls Royce.....2023 was the first time this blogger has seen Travis in a driving pap shot, or heard about any vehicles he might owned. In other words, he has been seen being dropped off. π
When the Chiefs visited the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory last summer (June 5, 2023), Travis talked about team member's credentials needing to be taken care of before they could go, and how he didn't have a valid driver's license for verification purposes. In fact, he said that, at the time, he was using an expired Ohio license from 2018. The issue was discussed on a New Heights podcast at the time (June 7, 2023).
New Heights Episode. 43 at 11:22 timestamp:
Yeeeeesssss....and here is Travis, just a week later, on June 15, 2023, the night of the Super Bowl ring presentations, arriving on the red carpet.
And here was Travis arriving at the Capital One's The Match back on June 30 last year. Looks like Patrick was doing the driving! π π ⛳
I love that video. Travis, who is always rubbing his hands together, and Patrick who looks like he has picked up the habit himself!
It's also one of many examples of how Travis has an admirable habit of greeting people when he arrives somewhere, whether it's while walking to the podium at a presser or at any public event. He is simply, very much a people person and wants people to feel welcomed.
Back to our first bullet point #1:
Very soon, stories began appearing on Twitter that Travis was purchasing a new home on the Kansas side of Kansas City.
Alleged Travis sightings suddenly began to occur at a feverish pace in the Roe/Mission Road/119th Street vicinity, likely because that area is right down the road from Tomahawk Creek Estates, where he is supposed to have bought his new house. We had sightings at a nearby Hen House grocery store (as pictured earlier in this post), Trader Joe's, the Rotisserie coffee shop. Name the place and apparently Travis was suddenly being seen there. All of these retailers are very close to Tomahawk Creek Estates and located in two different strip mall properties across the street from each other. Remember, publicists are not subtle. smh

Travis at the Roasterie (same shopping center as Trader Joe's) in Leawood |
One small problem? Those before mentioned tweets about Loch Lloyd house-building came before the massive publicity push of his new Leawood mansion purchase.
Let's look at them again. The first tweet came in the midst of a conversation about Patrick's own Loch Lloyd home which has a partial football field on the grounds.
And the second tweet which came several months later in October.
And when looking at the proximity of Loch Lloyd to Tomahawk Creek Estates, one can see why Tomahawk Creek was chosen as the site for the new stunt home. There's only nine (9.1) miles between the two housing divisions, approx. a driving distance of 17 minutes.
Without giving the street address away and starting with this article dated October 20, 2023, one can easily trace back and see that the new stunt house is located in Tomahawk Creek Estates. Many of the articles noted that the "hideaway" was, in fact, "close to Hallbrook Farms", which is not too far away.
The narrative of Travis "needing to seek more private digs" was purposely enabled via repetitive "pap shots" by the Daily Fail and alleged lurking Swift fans.
Unfortunately for TPTB, the two before-mentioned Loch Lloyd leaks were already existent on Twitter.
One last thought about the Tomahawk Creek Estates location - the stunt house sits on a little over three (3) acres, in a gated housing division that consists of only 14 homes.
It was renovated and ready for sale in November 2022, as mentioned in a listing on Facebook.
The Super Bowl was played in February 2023, just several months later. In the New Heights episode 26 with Mr. and Mrs. Kelce which was posted on Feb. 6, remember Travis had the infamous quote about needing to find himself "a breeder" so that he could compete with Jason for being Mama Kelce's favorite. It was an uncharacteristic quote to come from Travis at that time.
The brashly stated "ambition" was also a likely sign that the contract with Taylor Swift was already secretly in the works by that time (maybe even earlier since these contracts are planned well in advance of implementation). With the Chiefs winning the 2023 Super Bowl, Travis' visibility soared and once he hosted Saturday Night Live on March 4 (which was a big success), he was quickly becoming an "It" guy. And over these many years, Swift and her people are well-known for having a strong preference for those "It" boys, haven't they?
It is vital to note, at this point, that Travis' popularity was rising before Taylor Swift even came into the picture. Yes, she helped to raise his profile even further. Together, they both grew into this juggernaut "power couple". But he was a huge success on Saturday Night Live and people could already see the potential in him. And she was nowhere mentioned in his orbit yet.
Back to HouseGateπ€£.
So, let's ask the question. Has the stunt house at Tomahawk Creek been leased and reserved for Swift and Travis' usage all this time since its renovations were completed? Situated in a gated community on over three acres, makes it difficult for any outsider (i.e. non-millionaire) to know the true comings and goings.
Meanwhile, Travis' real home sits unbeknownst to the general public across the state line in Missouri, thanks to the likes of The Daily Fail and this "local" enabler, who can be seen constantly spitting out the public narrative that he lives in "Leawood".
This account DeAnn Smith appears to be quite legit - after doing a brief search, it looks like she's worked for two local television networks, NBC and ABC, in addition to the Kansas City Star. But with a profile like this,
as an "award-winning journalist", why is her account obsessively tweeting about the "Tayvis" fauxmance and enabling every narrative that supports this PR stunt?
What is an "award-winning journalist" doing re-tweeting about Harry Styles? We won't even get into this following tweet which explicitly mentions the "Larry conspiracy" of gay rumors and is based on a blasphemous post by contracted meard, Misha Collins.
DeAnn Smith may be an "award winning journalist" and she may have worked for local (Kansas City metro) television news stations, but her account has been deeply invested in promoting Swift and Travis, along with all its lies.
One has to wonder, which party involved in this fauxmance asked this kind of favor? The media involvement has been massive, to say the least. Phony stories have turned on a rotisserie wheel from the likes of TMZ, People, Vanity Fair, EOnline, the Kansas City Star, all the local television stations, sports talk radio 610-AM, the NFL network, Page Six, local Kansas City restaurants, you name it. The wide variety of enablers indicates it's taken not just one party's team, but all hands-on deck.
Can you see how easily the general public can be persuaded towards particular views when our media does not provide objective reporting and work hand-in-hand with one another?
πππππππππ
• 3) And then... there's the case of the barber. More slipping and sliding going on.
What was going on with the barber, you say? Why would there have been something going on with Travis' barber, right? Well, that would be our question as well.
On December 10, vs. the Buffalo Bills, which was a national, regular season game with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo as the announcers, the Chiefs imploded with sideline melodrama (Chris Jones demonstratively arguing with one of his coaches)
Then, we had Patrick going uncharacteristically ballistic towards an official at the end of the game and needing to be restrained, which was the most cringy of sights.
Uncharacteristically embarrassing. It just did not ring true. He can have a temper, yes, which was caught on film when he was told to go to the locker room for an X-ray after suffering a high ankle sprain last year, and he threw his coat off onto the ground. But to go after officials? Not buying it.
Following the game, Patrick was also chastised on social media for his midfield conversation with Josh Allen. Mic'd up, he could be clearly heard, grumbling about the officiating instead of focusing on congratulating Josh. This was even more uncharacteristic than the meltdown towards the official. If that's even possible.
Notable NFL reporter accounts were tweeting about Patrick's unhappiness and his poor behavior. It was a harsh tarnishing of a reputation and image he had built since joining the team.
Pelissero with a partial transcript of Patrick's lack of graciousness in defeat. |
Come on.
It was a real mess of a game.
Of course, there was a ready explanation for this epic meltdown of Patrick's.
"He finally blew!"
"Well, looks like the frustration coming from a season of dropped balls, plethora of unnecessary player penalties, and ineffective offense finally got to Patrick!"
"He cracked!"
And the criticism from football fans was planted, highly visible all over social media.
(If one believes the tantrums and griping were legitimate, one shouldn't be surprised at some of the criticism, especially given how social media does provide an open forum to do so. Whenever it concerns Patrick, and the Chiefs in general, it seems criticism is quite the popular thing to do. )
Let's return to the point of bringing up the Buffalo game, where we were all shown that Travis' barber was in the suite with Swift. Why was this so important to point out?
"Travis' barber Pat Regan" |
His barber Pat Regan? In the suite with Swift? On Just Jared? Not just written about in Just Jared, either. We're talking The Today Show,
"posted by Travis Kelce's barber" |
from People,
"The Kansas City Chiefs tight end's barber" |
The New York Post:
Good Morning America:
"After cutting Kelce's hair for the summer [according to this article, six years ago], he said Kelce asked to bring him to Kansas City every week for the season for a haircut, a pattern he's followed every year since." - Good Morning America, 01 31 2024
That's some major coverage about one's barber or hair stylist, isn't it? Is the barber being given credit for Travis' on-field success after all this time? Doesn't seem like it. The stories seem to just be pointing out the longevity of Travis' alleged loyalty.
Is barber loyalty worthy of that kind of coverage? Is there possibly something else to it?
Well, there might just be something else to it, especially when there seem to be conflicting stories.
In an article from the Kansas City Star, dated January 14, 2021, titled, "How Did Patrick Mahomes End Up With That Hairstyle? Meet His Johnson County Barber",
The shop is a dream man cave, soundtrack provided by Hip Hop BBQ on

Framed sports jerseys line the walls, a hall of fame of

Oh?
Let's go a little deeper into that extensive article about Patrick's barber, whose name is DeJuan Bonds.
Travis Kelce for the score
Bonds seems tired of people asking why he wasn’t in that State Farm commercial showing Mahomes getting his hair cut. The quarterback’s younger brother, Jackson, is in it, too.
The barber cutting Mahomes’ hair in the spot was an actor, Bonds will have you know. And, insult to injury, “he wasn’t holding the clippers right,” said Bonds, who added that if he had been asked to be in that commercial, Mahomes would never pay for another haircut again.
(Don’t ask him how much Mahomes pays for his weekly cuts. Bonds won’t tell.)
Bonds was on set, however, and styled Mahomes’ hair when he and Polamalu shot a Head & Shoulders commercial at the Genesis Health KC Racquet Club in Merriam.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also a client of Bonds’, brought Mahomes and his barber together.
“When players come to town, besides where they want to live, they also want to know where they’re going to get their hair cut,” said Bonds. “That’s one of the things they ask, like, ‘OK, let me take a survey and look around and see whose head looks good and who’s doing it.’ So he asked Travis Kelce, and (Kelce said) ‘I go see DeJuan at Purple Label.’”

Oh?
from Page Six, it seems we're being told there's been a new barber in town when it comes to Travis.
"Regan, who has been Kelce's go-to barber for over five years" |
"Regan, who has been Kelce's go-to barber for over five years".
Really? Let's see....five years would date this barber switch back to....oh, around 2018. Gee, that was Patrick's first full year as a starter, imagine that. π€π€π€ Looks like Pat the Barber (isn't that interesting that this barber's name is Pat??) allegedly has been coming into town just to cut Travis' hair!
It's interesting because according to that Kansas City Star article, Travis was widely known to go to a different barber, one whose shop is pretty near to where this blogger lives. I've driven by it countless times and have been to the UPS store that until recently, used to be next door.
Again, that barber's name is DeJuan Bonds, who managed Purple Label Barbershop. Much has been written about Mr. Bonds and his barber shop over the years, more so since Patrick became his most famous client.
But Bonds was not someone new. He was already familiar in the Kansas City area because his first barber shop NaPPS dates back to an Olathe, KS location, established in 1997. He's been cutting Chiefs' players hair since that time.
In 2009, he started Purple Label Luxury Barbershop by NaPPS, having developed a notable clientele which included Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and KU basketball players.
One of the Royals' players who was a customer of Bonds' was a Narnia fave - former Royals first baseman, Eric Hosmer. Hos' cut, created by Bonds, was dubbed "The Hos".
DeJuan Bonds "barber'ing" Eric Hosmer (left) and Travis Kelce (right) - KC.org |
In 2016, Travis posted on his Instagram, praising his cuts from DeJuan Bonds.
"The man is like an artist!! @purplelabel_barbershop always keeps me with a fresh cut!!" |
Three years later in 2019, Travis and Patrick were spotted together at the Purple Label. Looks like Travis was still pleased.
Boy, just keeps getting muddier and muddier, doesn't it? Hmmm, not looking as good for the home team, is it?
Now, side-eyeing this "Travis' barber" hinkiness doesn't mean that Travis can't have several barbers because he does spend time back home in Ohio, in addition to some training in Florida, in addition to spending football season time in Kansas City.
But someone's really trying to push that Travis has been bringing in this Pat Regan fellow to Kansas City to cut his hair on a regular basis since those "five years ago", after he had been using DeJuan Bonds for years.
Or is it six years ago? In our next post, we're going to see where Patrick Regan himself says he's been cutting Travis' hair for six years. And if that's the case, how interesting that Patrick came to KC six years ago in 2017.
And Travis flying Regan into the Super Bowl in Vegas when Patrick is flying in DeJuan Bonds as well seems a bit excessive. Two barbers being flown in when Travis was known for using DeJuan for years??? In other words, Patrick and other KC teammates have their hair cut by Bonds like they have been forever, but Travis drops Bonds for some mysterious reason so he can be serviced by Regan???
Regan, 35, will also be in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl LVIII to give Kelce his pregame cut. - The U.S. Sun, Feb 08, 2024, "A Cut Above, Meet Travis Kelce's Barber Pat "Patty Cuts" Regan, the Weekly Visitor to NFL Star Who Keeps Iconic Style in Shape"
And then when we're flat out told last season that Travis is a former client of DeJuan Bonds....
Bonds is best known as the barber of Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He’s the man who perfected Mahomes’ high-and-tight, curly and faded on the sides. But he’s also cut hair for other notable Kansas Citians: former client Travis Kelce, other Chiefs players and Royals players. - Kansas City Star, "Is This Kansas City's Area's Most Exclusive Club? It's Owned by Patrick Mahomes' Barber" - October 09, 2023
Isn't that something. That "clarification" came from the Kansas City Star newspaper which has bent over backwards helping out the NFL, the Taylor Swift team as well as the Kansas City Chiefs, to carry out the whole fauxmance since it started last fall.
Well, we at Narnia can only wonder what on earth may have happened to cause Travis to go against the popular team grain and dump his old barber, a local legend, in favor of some guy from Rockledge, Pennsylvania. A barber who Travis thought so much of, he recommended Bonds to Patrick.
Well, look at this "coincidence". Regan is from Pennsylvania, just like Taylor Swift and her family; she grew up until her teen years in a town called Wyomissing, PA.
Supposedly, Travis met Regan through Instagram when he was in Florida "six years ago" as we've been told numerous times now since the fauxmance started.
Regan said he first met
Kelce six years ago when Kelce was training in Florida over the off-season.
Kelce contacted Regan on Instagram, asking for a 6 a.m. haircut. Regan's shop
did not open until 10 a.m., but that did not matter to the eager barber. Regan
noted that Kelce appreciated the early morning haircut gesture.
After cutting Kelce's hair
for the summer, he said Kelce asked to bring him to Kansas City every week for
the season for a haircut, a pattern he's followed every year since. - ABC News, Jan 31, 2024, "Meet the Barber Behind Travis Kelce's Popular But Simple Haircut"
ππ
A falling out with DeJuan? Or more likely, more closeting shenanigans so that it doesn't look like Patrick and Travis share the same barber and apparently had shared his services for most of Patrick's tenure with the team (2017) to the present.
From experience, Narnia knows which way we lean. Remember, closeting requires the erasing and rewriting of a closeted person's past. Particularly, those connections which may point in a direction that publicists don't want fans to follow.
************
Narnia is pleased to say that, to our own surprise, we found out this analysis didn't end here.
Please follow to "Cutting a Little Off the Top on The Barber - Which One is Travis' Version?",
where we take an even further look-see at this unique relationship which involves Travis and Patrick Regan.
