Let’s start with
a bit of context. Although the owners of this blog have been following Louis Tomlinson
and Harry Styles’ love story for fifteen years, we created this platform on May
15, 2016, partly with the expressed intent of documenting and exposing the shifting narratives
that were about to be set into motion as a result of what we would eventually term the Hiatus from Hell™. How did we know what was about to happen? Well, let’s just say this was
not our first rodeo when it comes to The Closet, so the seamless exiting of a band member in a group valued in the billions less than two months after One Direction's fourth world tour began, quickly followed by the official announcement of a fifth album from the remaining four members, followed less than four months later by a high profile paternity "scandal" coincidentally involving one of the members of a long-rumored, same-sex couple in the group, was either the worst luck ever or a strategically planned sequence of events activated for a long-term purpose. A purpose known colloquially in the business world as a CYA (Cover Your Arse) operation.

Certainly, the existence of other celebrity closets were a large part of Narnia Dispatches' inception as well (Jake Gyllenhaal and Austin Nichols come to mind, along with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles), but for the purpose of this post, this is a reminder that Narnia has been committed from the beginning, to documenting and exposing the ongoing attempts by TPTB (Simon Cowell, Sony, Modest Management, etc.) to rewrite history, fade memories, scrub the Internet of verifiable evidence, factionalize the formidable One Direction fanbase, and breakup, gaslight, and vilify the Larrie and Ziam fandoms.

Without a doubt,
2016, was the beginning of a coordinated campaign by TPTB to exploit an obvious
power imbalance in relation to the members of One Direction while being protected by contractually enforced image clauses
and NDAs, in addition to a corrupted/compromised media landscape. In short, TPTB predictably used the pretext of a group-initiated hiatus “break” to convince the public that down was up, black
was white, and memories from the previous five years (2010-2015) were either false
or fabricated by delusional fans. A
fever dream, one might say.
Some of the prominent components of this “clean up”/"reconfiguration" era include the following repeated storylines:
- Louis and Harry were arch enemies in real life.
- Larries ruined Louis and Harry’s friendship.
- Louis and Liam were homophobic lowlifes.
- Zayn’s departure was self-imposed because he didn’t enjoy being in the group and wanted to live a normal life (LOLLLL!).
- No secret relationships existed in One Direction.
- The group was, in fact, comprised of all hot-blooded heterosexual men (roll out the Babygates, sorted by threat priority).
- One Direction initiated their own indefinite Hiatus
- Harry Styles selfish pursuit of a solo career was the primary reason for the group's breakup.
- Never mind the serial denials of Larry Stylinson by Louis Tomlinson every five minutes. "Obviously." /Sarcasm intended

That’s right. Reimaginings and rewrites, courtesy of TPTB. Ten years of flooding the zone with trickery and artifice, sleights of hand, enforced denials and metaphorical gun to the head retractions. All the while, the actual puppet masters hid in the shadows and shifted the blame onto what were termed as fandom “conspiracy theorists” and onto the five young men who were being victimized, year after year, like swinging piñatas.
Holding, holding out
Hoping you will love me now
Having studied other celebrity closets before 2010, when One Direction arrived on the scene, it was not hard to see that a love story was unfolding between two young men who wanted, for the most part, to be authentic. Not another copy of a copy. Not another casualty of the closet. Two members of a boyband who only wanted to be heard, seen and accepted. Simply put, they wanted to be able to follow their dreams as artists and still be together as a romantic couple. What soon became all too clear, especially when the group hit America in 2012, was that the music industry was not about to let that happen. But, unlike other closeted celebrities, these two young men fought back with all their heart, mind and spirit, against the beards, the stunts, the manufactured het images, and the crafted scandals. Headline after headline designed to divide the fandom and separate Louis and Harry from each other and the public possibility of a future life together.
At this juncture in their story, ten years later, what no longer can be ignored and indeed needs to be openly celebrated more than ever is that as July 23, 2026 approaches, Louis and Harry’s voices have never been more publicly in sync. Never been louder or more aligned. That they and we have made it and appear to be beginning a new journey together. Since their obviously coordinated music releases, in January 2026, Louis and Harry have been merging memories and moments. Blue greening their little hearts out. And for those who are listening, making references to one another and their lived past together.
Now you're all out of choices, are you listening yet?
Between your hеad and heart and somewherе else instead
Oh, can you hear the voice, the one inside your head?
Oh, are you listening yet? Oh, are you listening yet?
