Methodical Muser and I have always been curious when Baby Tile Congras was born. We figured the birth window had to be between mid-December to January 3, 2016 for the event to have taken place. Baby Tile Leadville has also been one of the Tiles that a specific date wasn't known, but some sleuthing and deductive reasoning (guess what Narnia member that was - smirk) was applied to develop a solid working theory of the occasion. π
In the above paragraph, a couple of links are inserted where Narnia posted regarding our speculations about Baby Tile Congras because it is quite the story.
So here we were on December 29, exactly ten years later and lo' and behold, a "new" photo of Jake Gyllenhaal appears. It was posted on Instagram on Dec 28 by a photographer, and then appeared on Twitter/X on the 29th early in the morning.
Look at this guy. He's still got that hellion in him!

| "Sardinas picantes de Detroit" |
First of all, the brand logo on the hat "Carhartt's" is a family-owned American clothing company that was founded in Detroit, MI, in 1889 and is headquartered in Dearborn, MI. Dearborn is not far at all from Ann Arbor, which is where Austin was born.
The phrase at the bottom of the patch reads "Sardinas picantes de Detroit" which translates to Spicy Sardines of Detroit. That's kind of fitting for Austin, too, isn't it? Austin likes his spicy foods and of course, there's the Michigan connection. How many times was Jake unwittingly caught in the Lansing, MI area back in the day? ππ
And then, there's the whole sardine thing. It's interesting that the cap itself is called The Sardinas Marlin Adjustable cap:
Whether you're talking sardine or marlin, both can be closely affiliated with the author Ernest Hemingway, particularly in the book "The Old Man and the Sea".
Wait a minute.
"The Old Man", you say???
I've got to hit pause; you know this author has got to do it! Roll it!
LOL!!! That was too low of hanging fruit. Couldn't resist that CLASSIC tweet. It will live on forever in Jake/Austin infamy.
Okay, back to business.
Remember that time Austin tweeted about Hemingway? On June 16, 2017:
There our guy was, reading The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway. As M&M pointed out at the time, the classic novel with the main character named Jake! π
[You know, what if we got Austin and Jared Padalecki and Kevin Tighe into a room together and they could talk books and compare their libraries to their hearts' content. Wouldn't that be something?]
Look at these three guys! We love them and their passion for books and reading.
 |
| Austin in Jan '24 |
 |
| Jared and books, books, books! Jan '21 |
 |
| Kevin and his books, December '25 |
Look at all three of them, showing off all their neat and orderly books. π Narnia follows the best guys! π
But back to Jake and Austin, marlins and sardines. And Baby Tile Congras.
We also recall that Jake's favorite Disney character? Is Marlin from the Disney movie "Finding Nemo". Interestingly enough a character also called, "Daddy" and "Dad".
So, Jake's photo was posted on December 28, with the hat that is a pretty clear shoutout to Austin. On the 29th, Austin posted on Instagram about his time in Wilmington for a recent fan convention. These two guys seemed to be sending out a salute hello and we have to ask, was Baby Tile Congras born on December 28? December 28, back in 2015, fell on a Monday. It does seem more likely to schedule a surrogate birth for a Monday rather than the weekend or on a Tuesday? Either way, far enough away from December 25 and not yet at New Year's Eve. A good time for a birthday.

And what is this?
The mere headline itself with three (3) names:
Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift
Blake Lively
And then, the key phrase: "fall-out".
And this one:

EXCL: Travis
Kelce’s secret role in Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s fall-out as ex-best
friends’ private texts exposed
From the-sun.com

Key phrase: "ex-best friends".
So, is that what this whole Justin Baldoni concocted melodrama is about?
Is this Shifty / Blake Lively "fall-out" a 2.0? 3.0?
• remember Jake's extravagant "goodbye to LA" in January 2012? Complete with the big sad goodbye to Busy Phillips and family at breakfast? Then it was goodbye to Adam Levine, Gene Hong, and company during the infamous Sushi Lunch, also in January '12? Jake would go on to be trumpeted repeatedly as having "moved" to New York City, thus leaving his LA life behind, along with Austin, who was present at the Sushi Lunch. Austin visibly accompanied Jake to the Berlinale Festival the next month and Jake had also been seen driving Austin's truck.
All of this was Jake and Austin's "goodbye" to fans, and while they were allowed the NYC pap walk in November 2012, that was pretty much the end of their public appearances together, until SXSW in 2016. Which was an unofficial "sighting" not acknowledged by the press. Since then they haven't been photo'd together. On top of this, in March 2012, Ted Casablanca gave his last Toothy Tile/Grey Goose post which told fans that Tooth was back to his cheating ways and suggested that Grey Goose leave him behind.
• the separation /"burial" of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews occurred in 2023 after 15+ years together playing for the Chicago Blackhawks. Patrick was traded to the NY Rangers in Feb. 2023 and then Jonathan was "afflicted" with his autoimmune illness so he took time off to supposedly document his world travels on Instagram. (As M&M facetiously pointed out, because that's what everyone does who has just been diagnosed with a debilitating and mysterious illness). Jonathan now plays for the Winnipeg Jets. And Patrick plays for the Detroit Red Wings. Talk about musical chairs. The original, real life version of Heated Rivalry.
• the separation of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles has been less stark only because the two men still participate in Creation conventions together and reunited for an episode of The Boys. Nonetheless, there has been significant movement in publicly separating them, initiated by "the J2 fallout". After Supernatural's final series episode aired in late 2020, the fandom watched as the two men had a very public exchange on social media concerning the prequel The Winchesters, with Jensen developing and announcing the project and Jared allegedly not being informed about it. π
The public narrative then became about Jensen "moving" to Connecticut, leaving Jared still supposedly living in Austin, TX. So, both men are (by outward appearances) living their own lives separately. Neither working together on a regular basis, Jared joined at the hip by his tick attached beard Genevieve Cortese, and Jensen? We don't know what Jensen is doing. He doesn't have to share much personally, unlike Jared, who has to reflect the image of not being able to never share enough.
Before the partings, Jared and Jensen were able to have their forever reunion as Sam and Dean Winchester, in heaven. Good for them; perhaps it was their way of showing they were still together and destined to be.
Now back to the latest Bermuda Triangle. What on earth does Travis have to do with Shifty, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is beyond sensibility. But it will likely be just one more bullet point for Travis to be blamed for whatever ends the fauxmance - a "divorce" or a "break up".
1) The faces in this photo composite
2) The tweet caption
3) That it's TMZ
tells us what Public Relations wants to burn into our memories:
There they are: Travis. Shifty. Blake Lively. Justin Baldoni. This melodrama with Lively and Baldoni has been going on for awhile; Narnia touched on it briefly in our post "Announcements, Autograph Nothing Burgers and Other Narnia Musings" simply because it was getting to be so OTT with Just Jared coverage. Now we're at the point where Travis' name has gotten dragged into it and allegedly some of Shifty's fans are going after him in the comments of his social media.
Jake took care of that issue when her fans were going after him by turning off his Instagram comments. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens with Travis' account; in fact, I hope it does. Remove the chalkboard.
And on Travis' last post, there are some comments "I used to be a Taylor Swift fan, but not now blah blah blah..." And the reason why they're complaining to Travis? Because Shifty has limited comments on her Instagram, so they can't go directly to the source of their aggravation.
Well. Not surprising. It's likely not going to get any better for awhile. Meanwhile, Shifty and who looks to be her probable real life partner, Blake Lively? They may be pulling a Jake/Austin. A Jared/Jensen. A Patrick Kane/Jonny Toews. And taking their relationship underground. Because this stunt is really looking like a movie we've watched several times before.
πππππππππ
To answer this fan's question? Because he's playing a part in the theatrical production, that's why. He's in on it.
ππππππππ
Here was someone Narnia has name-dropped before, requesting fans' inputs. Instead what he received was an all-time burn! π
For brief background: Gehrig Dieter is Patrick Mahomes' former meard and former Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiver, someone whom we have written about and Matt Nagy is the Chiefs' now-former offensive coordinator. We gave some background on Dieter in this post from October 2020, "Sunday Musings: The Swiss Cheese and Happy Clouds from OTP-Land, Pt. 1".
In other words, the fan was calling out Dieter for the way he "managed" to stay on the Chiefs' roster for so long and he was right in the sense that Patrick was the reason why he was on the team for so long. But it wasn't that he "knew" QB1. It was because he was needed to play the meard. That's why he was on the roster all those years. Once Patrick had the wedding band on, complete with growing family, Dieter wasn't needed any longer to "occupy" and be seen with Patrick, away from Travis.
ππππππππππ
And on the subject of football, let's end on this daring speculation. This is some kind of unusual.
Regarding 1587 Prime, the new Kansas City steakhouse "owned" by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, with the name of the restaurant based on their jersey numbers. It opened in September, amidst all kinds of hoopla, exclusive invitations to celebrity friends and family and chatter about how far out reservations were booking.
Their Instagram account does a tremendous, daily job of promotion and conveying how a meal at the steakhouse is a glitzy, swanky event with the live music, the sparkling cocktails, the marble-top bar, lots of sparkling gold highlights everywhere. While there were some reports of the food not meeting high expectations to match the high prices, word seemed to be relatively quiet with regard to criticism.
Until lately. There now have been three black eyes.
1) This particular criticism seems to have been rectified by now, but there has recently been an issue with 1587 Prime's menus stating that they used Shatto Milk's butter and Betty Rae's ice cream when the two items haven't been used/served in house since September and October respectively. Shatto Milk also owns Betty Rae's. And even though Shatto Milk asked the restaurant to stop indicating that they were still using their product, nothing was done to remove their names. It sounds like this has been corrected now. Certainly a very poor business practice, although crazy to imagine a business person being so openly deceptive.
2) And more recently, a lawsuit?? Story by the Daily Fail.
The Mirror starts right off the bat:
An award-winning food writer has slammed 1587 Prime in
Kansas City, a steakhouse owned by NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. - source
But all three of these issues at once? The beginning of this following article dishes off narratives, doom and gloom like dealt cards.
On the field, things haven’t exactly gone according to plan
for Kansas City Chiefs superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis
Kelce.
In fact, things have gone as badly as they could have
possibly imagined. The Chiefs are eliminated from playoff contention with three
games yet to play. Mahomes suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s loss to the
Chargers. Kelce sounds like a man who knows his time has come and passed.
And it turns out things aren’t going any better off the
field for the star duo.
Travis Kelce And Patrick Mahomes’ Steakhouse Gets
Scathing Review
In September, Mahomes and Kelce teamed up to open a steakhouse
in downtown Kansas City that is aptly named 1587 Prime, a combination of their
two jersey numbers.
Recently, longtime Kansas City food critic Liz Cook attended
the restaurant and wrote a review for Defector. Unfortunately for the Chiefs’
stars, the review was not exactly glowing. – from “Food Critic Slams PatrickMahomes And Travis Kelce’s New Restaurant 1587 Prime As ‘ Child-Like Idea OfLuxury’ “ via BroBible, by by Clay Sauertieg, last updated December 19, 2025,

Geesh! Can it get any worse for the Dynamic Duo??? It's just a bit much at this point, isn't it? All at once. After the season ends, along with everything else that collapsed. One more "failure" in particular for Travis' "rap" sheet.
Narnia is tentatively filing this on-going 1587 Prime story into the top cabinet drawer for easy accessibility. Because it's caught our attention. π

Okay, now comes the time to go work on another post and bid adieu to this one, but not without some Roy and Johnny aesthetic, which by the way, has absolutely nothing to do with this post. π π π
 |
| that episode when John had trouble with his credit card bill |
|
| Look at this guy Roy DeSoto - what a Cheshire cat smile! |
 |
| Sure, John Gage looks all perfectly behaved here, but we know better |
 |
| "Well, it's like this ..." |
You've got to watch out for those two. π And if you're not careful, if you watch the show, you're liable to come out of it a coffee drinker.
We lied! One more very important note: The best of luck to Louis and Harry as they go for their "side by side" UK Number 1 slots tonight. Nobody deserves this recognition more. Keep streaming, everyone!
Okay, on that note, we're outta here. ππππ
