Broken Hearts Can, Do and Will Mend - We'll Be Right Here Waiting, 1D

It's been over two years (hard to believe) since the One Direction band performed on the X Factor Final, joined by the Rolling Stone's Ronnie Wood.  They sang Where Do Broken Hearts Go and the performance was electric, full of life and enthusiasm.  No doubt, the young men were thrilled to be performing with Ron Wood, particularly Harry Styles who was a co-writer of the song.

Here's a clip of the performance from December 2014.  If one would like to skip the hype at the beginning, the performance begins at 01:08.  Not only that, but I think it must have been played a kamillion times because it's kind of green at the beginning. Although the color is appropriate for the approaching holiday, it can be a bit disconcerting. But don't despair, that part doesn't last long, lol.  This performance is what snapped me out of my stereotypical "boy-band" mindset and catapulted One Direction as a group of multi-talented, outstanding entertainers.

CRANK IT !!

One Direction - Where Do Broken Hearts Go Live @ The 2014 X Factor Final (w. Ronnie Wood) from Vitor on Vimeo.

Just looking at the over-72 Font size, the capping, the high-decibel, Let's Get Ready To Rumble voice of the announcer during the beginning intro, it is now plain to see what a source of income, fame and self-importance One Direction provided for Simon Cowell and Syco.  Subsequently, the "pain" of losing One Direction would be 100 fold, even though the loss comes by their own hands.

While One Directions fans have been hurting from not seeing their favorite group singing together, they have coped quite well.   These are the trying times indeed with babygate stories, airport drama, obvious separations between band members and overall frustration.

Each of these young men have said they will be back and while no one knows when the time will be, they seem to be individuals of their word.

"One Direction is who we are and who we always will be." - Liam Payne (February 2017)

"We will be back." - Niall Horan  (November 2016)

"We fully intend to come back" - Louis Tomlinson (October 2015)

That looks like a unanimous group of voices saying "we'll be back", lol.  Whether Zayn could possibly at some point make an appearance during the return, who could possibly know, but if it were to happen, that would just be icing on the cake.   In the meantime, the young men have shared what they can and support is all that can be provided to them during this mega-length of a hiatus to beat all hiatuses.  ;-)

Here are all five glorious members and participants of the above finale performance and we look forward to that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow when we know that at least the foursome will return to perform again as a group.  What a day indeed that will be.

Mr. Liam Payne

Mr. Louis Tomlinson

Mr. Niall Horan

 Mr. Zayn Malik

Mr. Harry Styles

Thanks guys, for this extraordinary, thrilling performance.
