Liam Payne's Own 'Beautiful War' Against the Music Industry

**WARNING**

The following post may contain triggering content due to multiple screenshots of OTT bullying and drug references on social media.  The bullying and sheer meanness of the tweets that follow are so abusive that a warning label seems advisable.  Please hit the Back button if you don't trust you can handle the subject matter. Emphasis is on quantity to stress the tenacity of Sony's strident tactics, a battle action plan designed to not only humiliate, but to break the spirit of the intended victim.

 **********************************

It's another amazing day in the neighborhood.  Some things you let go, not worth the energy or effort, but then there are some defamations and misdirections that can't be allowed to stand without comment, particularly when these smears seem to yet again come from the underhanded handiwork behind One Direction's Hiatus from Hell™.

Let's take a look at this recent trip to America by Liam Payne which should have been an incredibly exciting opportunity for him.  And while he managed to meet, socialize and network with noteworthy individuals (because this is the Liam Payne way, to make a positive out of anything which may be ill-intended), he had two ticks attached to him in the form of beard, Maya Henry and manager hanger-on, Steve Finan O'Connor.

Wait, manager or former manager,  you ask?  Well, here's the thing.  Ol' Steve-arino was supposed to be Liam's manager when he was with his agency, KIN (formerly Doyen Global).   But remember, that we were told Liam's management let him go.  Let's re-visit that publicized separation in November 2021 for just a brief moment:

"But they have now split after Liam's post One Direction career stalled." - The Sun

And again, Liam's official Hover-er, Steve Finan O'Connor, was his manager while with KIN.  So, one would assume that Finan would also no longer be his manager? But instead, the hover-er has been heard or seen in just about everything Liam has participated in since November.

From his premiere event during Oscars week on Thursday, March 24, "Taste the Future" [where Liam, along with other notables and The Good Food Institute,  served as hosts of an exclusive culinary experience to showcase some of the best innovations in animal-free protein], to the last event on Sunday, March 27 at Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party, he was followed around by two, sometimes three ticks, I mean individuals, who were in the background, photo-bombing most of his pics and videos:

- beard, Maya Henry

- barnacle, Steve Finan O'Connor

- chaperone? Maya Henry's mother

This interview of Liam's, which occurred on Sunday evening at Elton John's viewing party, was the crowning definition of sabotage.

Rather interestingly, Good Morning Britain seems to have re-linked the video and now it's in a cell phone format since the post was first started on.  Let's try a different way:

Noel Phillips, with ITV Good Morning Britain, was the interviewer on the red carpet following the chaotic Oscar Awards coverage. It was Phillips who talked to Liam at length about his thoughts on The Incident of the night.

The magnitude of the Will Smith/Chris Rock Oscar's fiasco was so large (all one has to do is look at the ginormous amount of press coverage, social media trending and celebrities "weighing in" on a delayed basis to see the magnitude), that the following article from the website of the Manchester Evening News points out how discretion was the immediate response in the face of so many unknowns about what actually had happened and why.  In other words, right after the Oscars had ended, at the Elton John AIDS Foundation party, ITV reporter Phillips points out in an included video from Good Morning Britain that A-Listers were, in fact, reluctant to be quoted with their thoughts.

Phillips actually talks about this celebrity hesitancy to go on the record (in the video from the Manchester News article), after he spoke to Kevin Costner, and reported how the actor's manager was poking him in the back.

It was also the only question the stars of the big-screen were being asked about as they walked up and down the official Oscars after-party red carpet and Elton John's Oscars party.

Good Morning Britain's North American correspondent Noel Phillips was quizzing the various stars on the incident when he grabbed a chat with Kevin Costner who said he "was backstage" when the explosive exchange happened.

As the award-winning actor moved on, Noel turned back to address the camera and the hosts back in the studio and said: "A lot of these really big-names celebrities don't want to be addressing the issue of Will Smith and Chris Rock." He then added: "While I was asking the questions, I was getting poked in my back by Kevin Costner's manager."

As Richard laughed, Noel's admission shocked Susanna who sat open-mouthed before commenting: "Noel, that's extraordinary. That's absolutely remarkable. So you basically had the manager actually saying, 'don't ask the questions?'"

It was then time to move on and a baffled Susanna told viewers they'd be bringing them more reaction for the ceremony. – Manchester Evening News fromGood Morning Britain

"A lot of these really big-names celebrities don't want to be addressing the issue of Will Smith and Chris Rock."  And in the video you can see Kevin Costner being pulled away.

And yet.....

And yet, there's Liam allowed to go on at length about the Oscar theatrics.  Liam who has allegedly been trying out for film roles, isn't even an actor, and has nothing to promote, yet somehow was selected among all those celebrities to provide his opinion on the night's events.  So, where was his manager's poke in the back?

"Wait a minute though, why would he have one? I thought he was let go by his management?" again, you ask.  We just saw the article by Metro UK stating as such.

But in the video, what did Liam say at 01:28-29? He gestured behind him and mentioned "my manager".  Really?  His manager?  So, who's his new manager after being let go by KIN?

Finan O'Connor is no longer with KIN, as his LinkedIn reflects.  He says that he left them last September (2021).  But he's a partner in a property company.  He's a co-founder (along with someone named Ross Taylor) and director of Fanchain, which is about helping artists (like Liam) to connect with their fans.  One way they do this is through NFT's.

NFT's, you say?

Well, that might help to explain Liam's involvement with NFT's since the introduction of Lonely Bug last summer, wouldn't it?  Not that Liam might not have an interest himself in the artistic content of NFT's, but they are frequently promoted by him, including during Oscars week (three days in a row, he attended an NFT event) at The Crypt Gallery:

In the photo below, Steve Finan O'Connor is on the left:

Let's make clear that Mr. Leech, er Mr. O'Connor and his business ventures would not have the followers and financial spenders they have had were it not for Liam and his large fandom, a fandom that has always wanted to support him and his other One Direction bandmates, dating back to the early days of the group in 2010.

But last Oscars week in particular, Finan (by this point in time) was basically taunting folks with his constant presence and photo bombing.  Letting everyone know that he, the minder, is always around and not letting Liam go unchaperoned.

Yet, on his LinkedIn, O'Connor is not listed as Liam's manager,

Huh.  Well, that's interesting.  O'Connor says that he is "About" Liam.   Just what exactly does that mean anyway?  He's "about" Liam.  Looks like it's "about" a lack of commitment to proper terminology, doesn't it?

Despite this mystery over who exactly Liam's new manager/handler is ("new" being a fungible term in this case), one thing is clear.  When his hanger-on's weren't busy photo bombing his pics, he was off on his own, enjoying time with friends and new associates from a variety of areas in the business:

Least we forget, like evidently his record label and manager have, that despite this incredible ability to mix and mingle, Liam Payne is actually most well-known for something that made him a multi-millionaire.  Yes, Liam is famous for.......

Singing!  So, did he sing at any of these functions?

Why, yes. Yes, he did.  At a private party only, which along with hosting live streams for newcomers to promote their music, seems to be the only venues Liam is allowed to perform at these days. It's curious, isn't it?

And while Liam was socializing, catching up and networking (while ditching the hanger on's), he was about to be used as a piñata after talking on the carpet to Good Morning, Britain and ITV.  An interview which is linked at the top of the post and shows Liam talking about the Will Smith/Chris Rock show during the Oscars.

And what were people's "organic" responses to the now-infamous interview?  1. Liam speaking in confusing multiple accents and  2.  Liam being high on drugs.

Unfortunately and virally, it seems like these were about the only two acceptable reactions and the disparaging narratives took off like a wildfire.  While there were various points of view regarding Will Smith assaulting Chris Rock, when it came to this less-than-3-minute response from Liam Payne, there suddenly seemed to be a group consensus. And folks gleefully piled on .

Too widespread, too similar, too OTT, too overwhelming in quantity to be natural, spontaneous reactions.  They were also visibly hyper-focused on accounts from the United Kingdom, which made sense since Liam would be most recognizable to that audience.  Although the interview aired on Good Morning, Britain, the tweets themselves brought the interview to Twitter worldwide. Therefore we're not sure why one would think that this social media assault on Liam's character was not meant to go viral.

Even Buzzfeed:

This particular intern account below didn't even understand his/her assignment.  They became lazy and couldn't even be bothered trying to identify the exact accents, merely adding, "and whatever else".   Tsk, tsk...why even take the time to join the fray?

And once the number of accents had been robot'ed and meme'd long enough, the next assignment for the "accessed" accounts was to mention "coke" and "drugs".  Narnia will call this the second wave of attack. Bear in mind, the mass quantity of both of these kinds of tweets (accent-focused and drug-focused) can't even be reflected by these extensive examples.  They're far, far too numerous to compile.

Way too many tweets that were too aggressively emphatic. Same key words. Drug use lingo that many civilians would probably have to look up in urban dictionary (hey, sorry, but I had to look up "packet" and "coke jaw", I don't mind admitting!).  Beyond excessive.  In other words, the very definition of a hit job.

It also wasn't an original idea.  Seems like causing a viral series of tweets has been used before, (we see you Sony) with one of Liam's bandmates, Harry Styles.  From 2021, remember this?

The narrative for this original "accent" release of tweets was that fans were worried Harry had lost his British accent because he was "spending too much time in America"!  (i.e. where Louis Tomlinson wasn't supposed to be).  While reminding everyone about that American beard of his. That's what that was about.

*huge eyeroll*

*sigh smh*

Oh, and as if we didn't know whose fingerprints were all over this coordinated smear campaign, at the end of last week we get Liam's supposed UK Record Label joining in the attack. His own UK Record Label jumped on the bandwagon.

A record label that Sony/Syco no doubt pre-approved for Liam back in 2016 to help sabotage his solo career... indirectly, of course. Because having Louis Tomlinson stay with Syco/Sony Records in 2016 was already too suspiciously close to home for fans in the know. But, Liam being set up with Cowell minion, Cheryl Cole, at the end of 2015, when One Direction was still under direct Sony/Syco control, ensured that Liam's public image would be directed by Sony/Syco het-narratives until...well until deliverables are met. The UK Capitol Records deal helped to create the illusion that Liam was free in terms of both his professional and personal life.  The reality, however, was far from the truth. But, then again that's exactly how Sony/Syco wants it.  Who sends 'happy April Fool's Day' wishes?  Nobody on my timeline was.   But here Capitol UK was:

"April Fool’s Day is on 1 April. It’s the custom in the UK to play a trick or a joke on someone on this day. If the person falls for the joke, then they are called an ‘April Fool’." - British Council Learn English Teens

Was Capitol Records saying they were in on this "accent interview joke" and calling April Fool's to Liam?  That the joke was on him?  Just wondering out loud.

And to twist the knife in further, Capitol's tweet was followed later that day by another notorious Sony/Syco enabler from 1D days joining in the "fun."

That was former DJ Nick "Grimey" Grimshaw retweeting a tweet from a clown comedian by the name of Michael Fry, who thought it would be funny to concoct a ditty about (there's that word again!) Liam's interview.  Here he is retweeting someone else who had retweeted his nonsense:

Favor called upon, Mr. Fry???   And Grimshaw thought he'd have a laugh, too.  Boy, with friends like this, who needs enemies, right?

Remember, that the CEO of Sony Music, Rob Stringer, grew up in the British music industry (hence his partnership with Simon Cowell's Syco Records) and just this year (2022) he was named #2 on the Billboard Music Power List. In other words his reach is deep, expansive, and strangulating all embracing. This is how the music business works. UK Capitol Records does Sony/Syco a favor (signing Liam to their record label), and Stringer rewards them in kind. Remember, the music industry is quite incestuous, homophobic and corrupt. That's what is rewarded. That's what is demanded. People who go along to get along. And, Stringer's reach is only growing. He will receive the 2022 Grammy Salute to the Industry Award tonight. And don't think Narnia didn't notice the following headline from Variety on December 31, 2021.

                                                              What a guy. /snark

And if folks aren't convinced yet that Liam is still under Sony/Cowell control, Narnia gives you...

Exhibit A. Maya "Mayo" Henry.  At 16 years old she was (thank you to the thorough birthday research of Sexatoxbridge on that topic) attending an After-Grammy Party in February 12, 2017 for Republic Records. That's right. THE same Universal Republic Records that signed Liam Payne in October 2016 to its North American label in a joint deal with Capitol UK.

Oh, and here's Mayo at the same party cuddling up to a Republic Records pillow:

We at Narnia are certain that her rumored pairing with Liam Payne in August 2018 was just a coincidence, right?  NOT.  Talk about beard harvesting.

To add insult to injury, we certainly don't get to see successful musician Liam Payne attending Grammy after-parties. But, somehow Henry, the "socialite," "philanthropist," "model," (as the After-Party articles refer to her as), is rubbing elbows with elite artists.

Oh, and let's add just one more Sony/Syco 1D connection just for kicks.

Ben Winston's bud, James Corden, who hosted the Grammy's that night. What a small, small world.

****************************

Ultimately, what Liam said or didn't say is irrelevant at this point. He is media trained and often stepped forward in One Direction days to provide the "official" version of events according to Sony/Syco.  Official  = Lies. In other words, he's convincing when he needs to be.

We have shown (and fans have heard Steve Finan O'Connor in the background of Liam's video chats) how Mayo and O'Connor were constantly in the background or at his side during the Oscars week of events.

But when Liam was on the carpet being talked to by Good Morning Britain?  Anyone?  See either one?   *crickets*

Indeed.  No where to be seen.

But Liam pointed in the interview and said "my manager".  So that had to be Finan O'Connor.  Where was he as that interview went on?  And on?  And on?  Why wasn't he protecting his client like Kevin Costner's and the other celebrities that interviewer Noel Phillips was referring to?

Or was he supposed to let it go on?  With a plenitude of "programmed" twitter accounts ready to hit "SEND"?

And Mayo Henry nowhere to be seen at Liam's side.  She, who needed to always be seen in his background all week.  Nowhere near that interview, was she? Could be they both knew what was coming and were advised to stand clear.

Hang in there, Liam. You are seen, heard, and appreciated. The rest is just white noise.
