What do you say when your country and the world, for that matter, is in various states of upheaval and feelings of helplessness? I don't know about you, but rants and wailing about what's "not my country" and "what kind of world is this that we're living in", can help with self-relief, but at this point, is just not productive enough.
How many times do we need to be hit in the head with a mallet before we put a hand up to stop the mallet?
So instead of the traditional celebratory visuals and music, on this 4th of July, I would like to do something different and encourage to our American readers,
• Please register to Vote if you need to and still have time, before your state's deadline.
• Then, please VOTE in your state primary and general elections in the fall.
Those two steps will help make a productive difference. Every single office is important. School boards. City commissions. Mayors. Amendments. All of it.
And finally, a reminder to be aware of your surroundings. Be safe. Be smart.
We don't have to become hermits or paranoids, but it is a time to take extra care.
We at Narnia appreciate our readers (even though posts have been a little slow lately, but hey, it's summer! lol) and we appreciate these following people, even though sometimes it can be a trial with a few of them (they know who they are!). 😁 They all are the reasons why we are here.

We saw and we loved.
Our hearts are with those forever affected by the attack at Highland Park, IL, today and everywhere in our world, 💔
Bless the beasts and the children
For in this world they have no voice
They have no choice
Bless the beasts and the children
For the world can never be
The world they see
Light their way
When the darkness surrounds them
Give them love
Let it shine all around them
Bless the beasts and the children
Give them shelter from the storm
Keep them safe
Keep them warm

I think this is one of your most inspired posts yet, PG. Perfect pitch. Perfect message. Perfect timing. The 4th of July is about rebellion and embracing possibilities. "We the People...in order to form a more perfect Union."
We support some of the most extraordinary men around. I am forever grateful for their unbridled spirits and their open hearts. For their kindness. We admire their bravery, and most of all their voices. Yes, even though the closet could mute their messages, many of them have chosen to continue to speak even louder than words. About Faith in the Future. About Love. About being knocked down, but getting right back up.
Never forget, to...
...be the change you want to see in the world. Volunteer, run for office, vote in every election locally, state wide, nationally. And, if we continue to never give up, in the end, "We'll be alright."
