December Drifts II: Piled Higher and Deeper

 • The 2022 Award for Color-Me-Not-Surprised goes to Sophia Bush, who cancelled in the eleventh hour for the Friends With Benefits Charity Event the weekend of November 11-13.  She was scheduled to take "Brulian" photo ops with Austin, along with other photo ops and activities with Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz.  Allegedly, she had been feeling poorly and her doctor advised her to "refrain from travel" because of "the surge in COVID-positive rates and RSV cases".

Her reason might have been believable had she not been angry tweeting about politics leading up to the weekend, during the weekend with convention-goers, and following the weekend. Late into the evenings.  I mean...

Anyway, Austin was able to meet fans and no doubt, he enjoyed visiting Wilmington again.  What a lovely city that is - I'd love to go back!

• Let's just drop this one here.  Patrick and Travis.   I have dubbed them - Trahomes. For fun! 😉

If you haven't caught it and are interested in getting a better glimpse of a more relaxed, less-robotic Patrick Mahomes, his appearance on Travis and his brother Jason's podcast called New Heights can be watched on You Tube and other platforms.  It was very enjoyable and I know that I learned a lot.  I thought I saw more of the earlier Patrick Mahomes from 2018-19, as opposed to the more guarded #15 that we see the majority of time now, in interviews.  These guys are funny and it's also fascinating to see the brother dynamic between Travis and Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.

•  This past Thanksgiving holiday meant that we had polarizing GPS practices to expect from two of our fave couples and they reset and synchronized our watches predictably.

Here was Jared's beard, Genevieve Cortese-Padalecki with her story about Jared's daughter marking herself up just before an alleged plane trip.  The story made People.com so that they could use "Jared Padalecki's Wife" in the headline.

Later on the beard's Instagram, we see a photo of brothers Tom and Shep, reportedly placing them at a Warriors/Jazz game in San Francisco.   Here are some photos allegedly of everyone (excluding Genevieve, of course) on holiday.

And no, we're not playing along and asking about the stroller.

Meanwhile, Jensen was placed in New Orleans with his beard and the cast of The Winchesters.  Here they were visiting the set, in a screenshot from the video,

and with the cast members,

smh.  lol.   Synchronize your watches, J2 followers.  Jared on the west coast, Jensen down in the southern part of the United States...😏

 lol.  *facepalm*

Then, we had Jake placed in New York City with the beard (as he told Stephen Colbert on his talk show that he was spending the holiday at Big Sis's, so either Brooklyn or Vermont, take your pick.  Just for formality purposes.) on the Wednesday before the big day.

And Austin phoned it in with a photo allegedly of him at a Univ. of Texas Longhorn game which took place in Austin, TX on Friday, Nov 25.  LOL.  Hook 'em Horns, Austy!

Very nice, fellas!

• It's interesting that Jake's film promo and release for Disney's Strange World wrapped up just before Thanksgiving.  That worked out well for him and the fam.   Jake made trips to Los Angeles, New York and London for premieres and so we were able to see new photos of the guy!  He looked great, smiling and all.

There were interviews, although really not as many as one would expect or is accustomed to with Jake.   Still, there were some fun ones and opportunities to learn a little bit more about Jake.  👍👍

This interview clip was interesting as Jake's co-star Jaboukie discusses how the animators study the actors in order to get a grasp of their character and mannerisms.  So it will definitely be a must to watch Strange World on Disney, once it starts streaming.

And in this one, Jake loves it all about the Thanksgiving meal.  Marshmallows on his sweet potatoes, the dressing, cranberry sauce...

😃😃  If only the opening could have gone better.  Unfortunately, the flick cost from $135-180 million to make and thus far, the total box office has grossed $43 million so far.  What was surprising was the lack of fanfare for the film, the kind that one is used to seeing with a Disney film.  There were numerous, numerous tweets from Disney film aficionados on Twitter who were surprised at how little they had seen or heard about the upcoming movie.

And on.  And on.  And on.   That is but just a small sampling.

When it is realized that Strange World has a gay, black character in one of the prominent roles (the son of Jake's character), the head scratching and befuddlement begin to take place.  Then when you see an article like this by the Daily Fail,

an article which was used for robot tweets by close-minded individuals like this one:

And under a Twitter environment that Musty Elon "Musk" has muddied, many robots came out of the woodwork to tweet identical looking tweets about Strange World.

It became instantly clear that it could be worth it for Disney Company to purposely not promote Strange World very well and watch it not do well, just so their TPTB could say, "See?  There is not a market for movies with LGBTQ+ representation."

That's a lot of money to put up though, isn't it?  Is it possible all of the money wasn't Disney's?  Just like I don't think Musty used all of his money to buy Twitter, but instead had financial assistance from one or more other countries or parties who were invested in wanting to see Twitter become a playground for radical accounts and turn off liberal-minded and democracy supporting accounts.  Just thinking out loud here.

We have watched how big a deal keeping the gate locked on the Hollywood Closet corral is.  It's very important to companies like Sony, WME/Endeavor, the NFL, Irving Azoff, et al.  And Disney is one of the worst about maintaining a roster of bearding actors.

Because there just does not seem to be any reasonable explanation for the inferior promotion.  There's too much patterned history beforehand.

Here's hoping that Strange World will find a widening audience when it comes to Disney+ streaming and receive great word of mouth.

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

We shall end this here, else we keep going and going like the Energizer bunny.  Lord willing, there will live to be another day for more chatting and whatnot.  😉😊

Knock out those Christmas cookies or shopping lists so there's time for some R and R.  December can be a very busy, distracting month and it's important to take some deep breaths, put the feet up and have some quiet, do-nothing time.  It's cleansing and decompressing.

Thank you for reading and enjoy the rest of the week! Here's a sacrificial marshmallow for those of you with a holiday sweet tooth. *wink

In the Eleventh Hour - Baby Tile 11-11-11 Turns 11

Well, two of Narnia's faves and the OG OTP, Jake Gyllenhaal and his partner-in-crime, Austin Nichols, once again find themselves helping to direct traffic to this day, November 11 - a day that by this point in time, Narnia firmly believes is the birthday of one of their kiddos.

Narnia refers to this offspring as Baby Tile 11-11-11 and several posts have already been devoted to this particular birth because of the extraordinary amount of activity which surrounded her birth.

This post from November 11, 2017 shares examples of the remarkable amount of social media activity leading up to November 11, 2011 - "Jake Gyllenhaal - Oh the Places He'll Go on 11.11".

This post which is Part 2 of "Jake Gyllenhaal - Oh the Places He'll Go on 11.11" takes a brief look at why we believe the offspring was a girl and Jake's attendance on Baby Tile 11-11-11's birthday in 2017, at the Governor's Awards.  Here he was with Angelina Jolie and Loung Ung the previous week at the Hollywood Film Awards.

"And Austin & I will be adding a fifth to this group in six days!"

Jake was busy doing promo for Stronger during this time, which was beneficial to hide why he was in Los Angeles - which was awaiting the birth of his and Austin's number 5 child.

You can't tell, right? I just became a dad 5x over!

And so, here we are in 2022, eleven years later.   These two men would go on to add more chairs to the dinner table and now the parents of teenagers, tween-ers, with the youngest likely turning seven years old later this year (Baby Tile Congras!).

By this time, Jake and Austin continuing to "pull this off", has become the biggest non-secret in Hollywood.  How do we know this?  Because back in 2006, they helped to show publicists and talent teams that it can be done.  Hide surrogacy births, hide marriages, and everything else that goes along with them.  While now, the Hollywood closet involves a rotisserie wheel of stunt baby bumps and births, Jake and Austin's real-life escapades proved that it could be done.

Apparently, Jake's team believes that shenanigans are still needed, shenanigans occurring this week which only help further drive in the arrows pointing to NOVEMBER 11 on the calendar.  LOL!  smh.

Here was Austin allegedly on Nov 8, putting his pupper Otis in harm's way on his eFoil board:

"Gee Dad, at least you coulda asked Papa to spring for a jacket for me, too." - Otis

And tomorrow, Austin will be in Wilmington, NC for the FWB Cash Grab, I mean - Friends With Benefits "Charities" Event, the group consisting of Hilarie "Hil" Burton-Morgan, Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz.  Otherwise known around Narnia as the door bouncers to Eyecon.  No doubt it will be a red-eye flight for Austin, who will have quite a flight ahead of him to get to Wilmy.

And then there's his hubbers, Jake.  And Jake looked at the FWB event scheduled for November 12 and said "Austin, hold my beer."

Yesterday, on November 10, this announcement came regarding Jake:

"The Secret Society of Aunts and Uncles" - by Jake Gyllenhaal and Greta Caruso.

You cannot have read about Jake on Narnia and not know about Greta Caruso, who is referred to in the People article as Jake's "longtime writing partner".

What was that?     "longtime writing partner".

Narnia recommends donning a pair of these before even reading further in the People article.

We're just sayin'. 😉   Ironic, isn't it, since Austin is the one who graduated with the degree in creative writing?  Perhaps Austin leaned over Jake's shoulder at night, offering some input.  After all, Austy is also an uncle!

"The Secret Society of Aunts and Uncles" is a picture book, which contains 500-1000 words and is targeted for those aged 2 - 8 years old.  Jake and Austin do presently have one tot who falls in that age range, although his nieces do not.

But Jake says the book was written for his nieces and no doubt, this whole topic will provide material for him as he prepares to do interviews and maybe a few television promos for his upcoming animated Disney film, Stranger World.

Gyllenhaal tells PEOPLE that he wrote this book for his nieces "and for all the nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts out there." - People, 11 10 22

As for this "writing partner", Greta Caruso?  She has served as a reliable and loyal beard for Jake for many years, in addition to being a friend.  There's a reason why she has her own hash tag/label on our blog.  We found this quote quite interesting:

"As a new mom, I'm eager for my kid — and all kids — to remember that they should look to their aunts and uncles for a special kind of love and honesty, and what better way to do that than an adventure in the Secret Society for Aunts and Uncles?" Caruso wrote in a statement. - People and Books of Brilliance (who conveniently call her Jake's partner, not writing partner. 👀)

Well, now.  Yet another member of Jake's close inner circle allegedly having a kiddo!  Jake must be making himself dizzy visiting these folks' homes so he can burp and change diapers on babies again, lol.  😀

Does anyone else find it very strange that Caruso refers to herself "as a new mom" prior to saying "my kid"???   What first time parent calls their newborn baby "my kid"???  You call them "my baby", not "my kid".  Usually "my kid" would refer to one who is older, i.e. walking and talking.  👀👀   You've waited nine months to be able to say "my baby" or "the baby"; you're not going to rush that opportunity once the moment arrives.

And talk about the eleventh hour!

We end this birthday tribute with new GPS content on both parents, Austin AND Jake.

First, here we have Austin providing us play-by-play of his flight.  Here he is boarding and recording from his plane.

actually surprised we don't have some kind of ATX signage somewhere

gonna watch My Policeman, Austy? 😊

And then, because obviously Disney cracked the whip and told Jake there would be high-flying shenanigans of an extraordinary nature this week, we have a generic brand doppelganger, I mean we have Jake in New York City, allegedly at the weigh-ins for UFC 281!  This is comical.

It would probably make sense that Baby Tile 11-11-11's birthday would be celebrated in New York City, which would enable a shorter flight for Austin.  Perhaps it was a breakfast birthday party.  Pancakes for all!  And then Dad has to leave early and Papa leaves the clean-up to the nannies.  See ya, kids!

Whatever they did, in 2022, it could never be more evident that Baby Tile 11-11-11 happened.  Never forget - from Feb 17, 2011, "a fifth on its way",

(Anon's aren't always going to be 100% right.  Obviously, the two guys aren't waiting "a few years" to come out.  In fact, it's really not looking like that will ever happen.)

But also remember,

Oh, we believe, Anon.  We believe, without a doubt.

So, Happy Birthday to the Gyllynichols Tween 11-11-11, who turned eleven (11) years old today.  She was a Friday child and Friday's child is loving and giving.

No doubt, she's had to be very (for)giving of her fathers, particularly as she has grown old enough to understand and have access to social media, and know/see what they do on and surrounding her birthday and pretend to write a book about.

Aaah well.  We're certain appropriate celebrations were had.  And we look forward to the oncoming (real) photos of Jake as he begins his promotion for Strange World and Austin, who arrives in Wilmington, NC for the convention.

Happy Birthday, Gyllynichols Offspring 11-11-11
