Sometimes the inspiration for a Narnia post drops right into your lap, no effort required. Back on January 31, 2017, Buzzfeed published a fascinating article about Taylor Swift and how she embraced professional victimhood to transform herself into a mega star.

It's a fascinating read and really exposes her unique exploitation of male celebrity to catapult her music career and then hide behind her version of feminism to protect her from criticism. High profile names are openly discussed throughout the article, from Kanye West to John Mayer and Joe Jonas to Harry Styles. But, if you are looking for any mention of Jake Gyllenhaal, don't even bother. He is simply nowhere to be found. At least, not in the scrubbed version as the disclaimer at the bottom of the heavily-revised story now indicates:

Wow! 3:09 in the morning. Somebody must have been losing sleep, but somehow I don't think it was just Taylor Swift. No, I think when you look closer at the revised version (aka "update"), one can easily see the obvious person who was completely redacted from the unmasking of Swift's publicity machine: JAKE GYLLENHAAL.

Now the question cannot be ignored. Why would Jake's people want to delete any reference to his name from an article that factually exposes Taylor Swift's relationships for the fabricated nonsense that they are? Jake's management team apparently not wanting any reminder out there that he willingly participated in the Taylor Swift marketing machine - while all of the other entertainer's names are left untouched.
One last point should be made as well. The "update" statement points to Buzzfeed being contacted by Taylor Swift's publicist, but surely Jake's team had to have contacted Swift's people first given that his name is the one removed from the article completely. Obviously not wanting his 48 day "relationship" with her to be viewed as anything other than legit. Which, of course, makes his convenient coupling with her back in 2010 all the more suspect. Funny, isn't it. Jake didn't seem to mind that splashy US Weekly magazine cover, or his use of his sister and niece to sell the heterosexual image he wanted at the time.
But, when PR calls, the truth vanishes as easy as ....
