But remember, this is not the " best teammate ever " as far as Hos was concerned!
Hey, a reunion. Eric Hosmer just dropped his equipment bag over on the first base line and jogged out to meet Mike Moustakas in center field. Have this Pulitzer-winning pic of a hug: pic.twitter.com/17WVMGdRdt— Maria Torres (@maria_torres3) March 16, 2018

And Moose just retweeted this one:

Remember, these two had never played on opposite teams before, were both brought up in the Royals farm system and on the same team in the majors until this year when they find themselves on opposing sides of the ballfield. Moose has been working himself back into game shape in the minors this spring after re-signing with the Royals and so this was most likely the first time they had seen each other in quite awhile.
Mike Moustakas on playing against Eric Hosmer: "It’s just weird seeing him over there. For 12 years, I’ve seen him on this side." pic.twitter.com/xbU7B6Z80W— Rustin Dodd (@rustindodd) March 16, 2018
So there's the first reunion and with the dropping of the equipment bag and jogging across a ball field, it's pretty obvious that these two were pretty darn happy to be see one another again.

That full body, enveloping hug just gets me. I'm glad they were able to play on the same field and I can sure tell Hos missed him.
I saw a couple of tweets from folks who said that these pictures made them sad and it's because they know how good of friends these two were and what it meant for them to now be on different teams. Separation.
Anyway, we will have new pics of Austy today, can't wait!! Two weekends in a row, how about that? And no sightings of Jake, no nothin'. #nutnhoney
Everyone have a great Saturday, I'm off on this St Paddy's Day!! Hoping to have some corned beef & cabbage. Irish soda bread if I'm really lucky.
Pictures have been slow coming out on Austin for the Wilmington con, no doubt due to him not arriving until later in the day due to his filming. I'm not so sure about that "filming" pic, though. But I am certain he's at the con.
We'll have more later today and a pretty amusing, good post tonight on Jake. I guarantee it! I think you'll enjoy it.
Yea, Jayhawks!!
Great weekend at the OTH reunion in Wilmington, NC with PG. It ended with finally meeting and chatting with Austin today. First at the autograph session. I got a hello sir and two handshakes. Austin absolutely comes off as a kind and gentle man. I was excited and nervous. He is even better looking in person. Later on I got to ask a question at the Q and A. I told him Glory Road was one of my favorite movies ever and who he was picking in the final 4. Of course he mentioned the Carolina teams and Texas but then he asked me who I picked and I said Villanova. It was so exciting. What w weekend and a great memory .
Yeah, Tom and I are wrecking havoc here in Wilmy and have been since Thursday. I arrived in Florida on Wed and found out we were leaving the very next morning! LOL. I'm sure he told me once already but I must have forgotten or something. We'll have to tell our tale on our trip out, but maybe not necessarily tonight. We have a redeye flight in the morning and well - we want to be able to make it on board this time. LOL! Does that give you a hint of what happened to us?
Yes folks that was not the best of mornings. The car was running and PG was still in bed. LOL!
We both so enjoyed ourselves today, although I have to say that even around 1-2pm, it wasn't looking good for the home team. And by home team, I'm referring to Eyecon, who put on the convention. But everything suddenly turned around and we ended up having an absolutely wonderful rest of the day and so I won't be ranting & raving up and down the aisles here over how a few things went. ;-)
I'll be able to share some pics and I'll share pics of my autograph. I didn't even have time or the nerve to ask Austin to add my name to the autograph. I wanted to be kind of winky winky and ask him to tone down his big "A" and "N", but well, big mouths often have small nerves when it comes time to put up. LOL!
He was indeed a sweetheart and we very much enjoyed his panel later on in the afternoon. And I loved Roberto and Lee Pace and all of the regulars were so engaging and at ease on stage.
But we'll for sure, with no doubt, have a post on our whole experience and lots of picures to share. Tom and I were close to the stage; we had great seats!
Probably won't be able to post until this weekend because I need to download some of the pics from my camera and I don't have my 35mm usb cord with me. :-(
Tommmmmmmm!!
lol. He said he was going to rat me out. That was so funny, we're still laughing about the whole ordeal.
Aaaaah well, we both have to get packed and will talk to y'all soon.
From North Carolina!!! It's been a wonderful stay here.
Back in Florida. Bumpy ride home. Yesterday really was awesome. Won't forget meeting Mr Nichols for the first time . PG and I had a blast . Hopefully we can all get together again soon .
