See It Again - 2018 with Narnia's OTP's and Honorables

Happy New Year, everyone!  Holiday hiatus is officially over and Narnia is back, starting off today with a brief look back at a few favorite moments from our OTP/OTP halves 2018.

1) Austin Nichols

In March 2018, Florida Tom and I made the trip to Wilmington, NC to see Austin at Return to One Tree Hill fan convention and we were not disappointed!  It was a rare opportunity and a great time. Lord willing, this won't be our last time being able to see him or Jake at a professional venue.  ;-)  After all, it's not every day that you get to see "Leo" being sneaked in through the stage door for his Instagram "story" or hear an OTP-half talk about "when you find that special someone, you hang onto them".  #Boom  #WheresLeo

2)  Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles

Let's face it, 2018 for these two men has been filled with more than its share of low-lights between the OTT narratives, social media spoonfeeding and bearding.  But one thing they did accomplish was a longtime collaborative effort, the completion of 300 episodes for their show Supernatural.  There are about 19 shows ahead of them of longest-running shows, but considering the list includes the likes of ER, Gunsmoke, Dr. Who, etc., that puts Jared and Jensen in some pretty good company.  Quite an accomplishment.  2019 looks to be an interesting year to see where their joint road takes them and their fans.

3) Where hasn't Mr. Liam Payne been in 2018?  If you can even catch him sitting still, that is.  Liam has Jingle Ball'd, released music and videos, appeared on the XFactor as a guest judge of fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson, traveled the world, shown his support for the LGBT community and for the population in general,

and this was one of his loudest and greatest, when he called out a tabloid for falsely speculating.  Narnia is extremely proud of Liam for using his social media to make positive statements and call out where needed.

Look at Liam go.

Liam be like...

Only one of many reasons why we love him so much.

4)  Adam Lambert

Adam has been touring with Queen in 2018, but what gained him worldwide attention recently was his rendition of Cher's "Believe", a dramatic performance which moved the actress/singer to a tearful reaction.  We are right there with you, Cher.

If you haven't seen his performance, we encourage you to watch this.  Watch an artist truly touch an audience in the way all artists dream about.

5) Louis Tomlinson

While we all look forward to that LT1 Tour and Album in 2019,

we simply cannot ignore Louis' continued bravery and strength in the face of industry constraints and subversiveness. As usual, Louis continues to soar regardless of the obstacles confronted. A king in every way. Winning Judge: Louis Tomlinson, X-Factor 2018.

And, we agree, Louis. "Sit down, Simon."

A man with fortitude and a heart of gold. Excerpt from Celeb Mix's "Biggest Inspiration" 2018 Award to Louis Tomlinson:

Talented. Kind-hearted. Down-to-earth. Generous. Those are just a few words to describe Louis Tomlinson. For over eight years, Louis Tomlinson has inspired millions of people to be themselves and stand up for what they believe in. Although he has toured the world and become a millionaire thanks to his music, Louis has not forgotten where he comes from. To him, the most important thing in the world is his family, true friends, and treating others with respect. There are so many reasons why he is his fans’ biggest inspiration that it is impossible for us to state them all.

Yes, we know, Harry. You love him too.

6) Harry Styles

With so many professional successes in 2018, from a Billion + Streams on Spotify to a sold out Live Tour, and two Gucci Tailoring Campaigns, it was Harry's heart that continued to overwhelm us throughout the year. His big and small acts of kindness reminding everyone just What Makes Mr. Styles Beautiful.

7)  Gus Kenworthy

Gus Kenworthy lost his precious Beemo pup in 2018 and while he and his partner Matt Wilkas were heartbroken, they became "dog dads" again because they have so much love to give.  They now share their home with Birdie, another rescue.  This is a wonderful cause of Gus', whose love for dogs is spread all over his social media, lol.  And we love Gus for his open freedom, his candor and humor, but also his love and kind treatment towards dogs.

The day Matt and I visited the horrifying dog meat farm in South Korea we witnessed a mother dog giving birth to a litter of pups. The people at @hsiglobal told us that had they not been there filming my visit nobody would've seen the pups immediately and they likely would've died in the brutal cold. Luckily though I saw them and they were rushed inside and saved. A few weeks later when all 90 of the dogs on that farm (including Beemo) were flown to North America that mother and her newborn litter were the only ones that stayed behind because the pups were too young to travel. After Beemo passed away I was feeling completely empty and I reached back out to the Humane Society International to find out what happened to that litter. I found out that they were still in Korea and I began getting photo and video updates on them as I waited for another farm closure and an opportunity for them to be brought to the States. That finally happened and four days ago I picked this little girl up in DC. She's a 5-month-old Jindo/ Lab mix and we named her Birdie (because birds were one of Beemo's favorite things in the world). Nothing in the world could ever replace Beemo or the love that we felt and still feel for her but Birdie has already stolen a new place in our hearts and we're excited to be dog dads again. A HUGE thank you goes out to @hsiglobal for bringing our new baby home and for all they do for animals in need around the world (follow them and support their cause). Also an immense amount of gratitude goes to @awlaarlington for taking care of Birdie in DC until I could fly there to pick her up! I am going to continue Beemo's Instagram with pupdates on Birdie. I was nervous that would seem disrespectful to Beemo's memory but I actually LOVE the idea that both of my beautiful little girls will share the page. Also, a huge part of the reason I started Beemo's page in the first place was to continue promoting animal rescue and raise awareness for the dog meat trade and since the page already has a following I thought it'd be more impactful to keep it going rather than start all over again. Follow along! @b_pups #DogsAreFriendsNotFood #AdoptDontShop ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ❤️ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Love you, Gus!

8) Patrick Mahomes II

And our newest "honorary" member of the Narnia Dispatches community - Mr. Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs!!  ;D   We admire this young man because he's genuine, kind, compassionate, giving, professional, intelligent, passionate, and extremely talented.  2018 was his year.  Only playing in one game his rookie year in 2017, Patrick was a full-fledged starter from the beginning of this season and he shined like no NFL star has in a long time.  He became only the second player to rack up both 5000 yards and 50 touchdowns in a season.  Narnia salutes Patrick Lavon Mahomes II for his incredible breakout.

His 50th:

And who can forget this moment which endeared him to more than just Chiefs fans.  Here he is joining in with KC Sporting fans at an outdoor soccer game in KCKS.

Gold Nuggito:

Mr. Air-It-Out:

Rivaling Louis T with his track wear and showing off his dimple:

Here's to a safe, a healthy and prosperous 2019 for all of us.  No one knows what the future holds, but we wish for only good things for all of our guys.

lol.  Thank you to everyone for a great 2018 here at Narnia!

Such a nice job on Louis and Harry's by the gifted writer, M&M. Really, really well done.

Louis has been through so much, but boy did he shine during X Factor and look at whose artists ended up winning? I hope & pray 2019 will be the year Louis is freed. What a glorious time that will be.

Gus is such a cutie, isn't he? He has shown the positive way to use Instagram and Twitter. I love what he shares and his love for dogs is so apparent.

It is FREEZING here! I'm waiting for the temperature to go up at least a little bit so I can go walk, but right now it is just out of the question. I have all the right garb to wear in low temps, but the desire just isn't there anymore, lol. When I was in my 20's & 30's, yeah the challenge was there to weather any kind of weather, but not now.

Thanks, PG. Right back at you! Love the song selections. Adam's performance at the Kennedy Center Honors was on another level. Dare I say transformative? Sort of like Patrick Mahomes, don't you think? #GoChiefs #TheNextNFLMVP

Oh, and I love that Batman action figure for Liam. He responds to the nonsense of the entertainment industry in imaginative ways. A special guy who has never forgotten where he belongs, and the opportunities that have been given to him.

I love Liam's spark and bite. He plays along too much sometimes, but I can handle that when he comes back with these smackdowns like he does. I have Polaroid on my current playlist; can't get enough of that song, it's great.

And I know Patrick is kind of a different fit here, but it's either that or start a Patrick blog and lol, I can't be doing that. It would kill me to have another blog. Literally. So please indulge us.

Patrick is such a special gem, a wonderkind.

Hi Destiny!
Belated Happy Birthday greetings to FloridaTom!! Yesterday was his big day. :-)
Today his Eagles play, so we hope they do well.

My Chiefs had a bye this weekend and will host the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday!!! So excited, but a little nervous. We have a champion QB at the helm and the offensive chops to take it to them.

M&M and I are working on a piece of work that will be our biggest undertaking yet. So bear with us; large works like this take some time and we're probably 2/3 done, but still more to do. We'll have a few things to say in between, but I think the wait will be worth it. :-) We need to get it finished and it is our goal to get it all up.

Did anyone see that whole Kevin Hart/Ellen DeGeneres spectacle? What a huge display that has been and isn't over yet.

Testing, 1 2 3, Testing 1 2 3

I am testing my new grumpy winter snow face avatar. LOL! One of my oldest tried & true's. Cannot locate my mr. Moose in the snow on the patio picture at the moment.
