LOL! In Narnia's case, it's the Fake-eroni. Get your waders out of the closet.
• Let's go back to Jake's British Vogue interview because there's some re-writing going on. And re-writing translates to covering up.
Jake said that he"neglected his personal life for years to focus on his career and work, but that is going to change now." - via Pinkvilla
He neglected his personal life? But...
no films released in 2006,
two films in 2007 (Rendition and Zodiac),
no films in 2008,
one in 2009 (Brothers),
two in 2010 (Prince of Persia, Love and Other Drugs),
one in 2011 (Source Code), and
one film in 2012 (End of Watch).
It should be noted Prince of Persia took about half a year to film from the summer of 2008 through January 2009, but provided Jake plenty of time away from American paps. EOW was filmed while Jake was with CAA and then he changed to WME/Endeavor. 2006 through 2012 covers the time period when Jake and Austin were beginning their family, ranging from Baby Tile No. 1 born in October of 2007 through Baby Tile "11-11-11", born when else but in 2011. By 2011, Jake and Austin no doubt had the hang of the whole process and added at least one, if not two more after the Baby Blitz. There were Broadway stints after 2013-14, gigs which usually gave him a couple of days off after Sunday performances. There were long stretches of this:
and this:
Lots of brick walls, Spin cycling, coffee:
Remember this one? Following the end of the Mumford Railroad Tour with a stop in Marfa for Austin's birthday, Jake was stuck in NYC before being allowed to return home. Here he was falling asleep while on the phone. On a bench. In New York City.
Not to mention alllllll of the Q & A's served with light refreshments over the past several years:
This was a Q & A for a flick called The Guilty, announced as a future project for Jake, back in December 2018. Tweeted in January 2019, he's here with director Gustav Moeller.
For Nightcrawler: dated Oct 13, 2014, four days before Baby Tile #1 Son's birthday.
From Jake's trip to Dubai, this Q & A is dated Dated 16, 2015 (American Central time), three days before his birthday and just a few weeks prior to the infamous Margie "Congras for your new baby daughter" comment posted on Austin's Facebook page.
Rather minimalist set, isn't it below?

Jake Gyllenhal is on the One Show....I'm confused....his Sunday in the Park with George run is relatively short...amazed he's allowed tbh!
And then there have been the long disappearances. For example, the Summer of Jake (and Austin) in the summer of '18, remember that? And the most legendary one of all, the Fall2019/Holiday/Winter2020/HalfTerms2020.
There was that time in July of 2017 when Jake "showed up" at New York Fashion Week (run by WME/Endeavor), taking a "week off" from Brothers filming, before resuming?
These are not exactly the best examples of a neglected personal life. Rather, isn't this interview proclamation just another way of Jake saying he's tired of getting called out for pretending to work most of the past 13 years while he secretly tended to ALL of those babies he and Austin Nichols have been having since 2007? He's tired of it, the tactic didn't work and so now he's just going to quit the sham.
The children are all at very active ages - there are sport activities, maybe some music/instrument lessons, any homeschooling to do (although somehow I can't see Jake doing any homeschooling) ??? Birthdays to get ready for, Easter baskets and Halloween costumes to put together, Christmas decorating/baking, spring breaks/midterms, homework projects...
Parents of elementary school age children, you know how it is. Doesn't get any busier. Parents like Jake and Austin don't have children hidden from the People.com-reading-eye just to pass all of this off to nannies.
No, no, it's okay, Jake, you just do you. Narnia knows. *wink*
• Then there was also another new interview with Jake a short while back and together with the British Vogue write-up, we have more re-writing of history. This time, it was a photo shoot from AnOther Man, a biannual magazine which focuses on fashion, lifestyle, the arts and politics.
From the AnOther Man interview:
Jake has spent substantial chunks of his adult life in Britain.
That is the exact quote from the AnOther Man publication.
Now, here's Celebitchy's interpretation from their online article accessing Jake's interview dated today, May 10:
First topic lead-in: "Spending a lot of time in Britain over the past decade:" Did you see AnOther Man or Jake say anything in that paragraph about the past ten years?
Me neither. What's that about? Now let's go to the British Vogue interview.
Since then, he's spent "five or six years cumulatively" in the capital, living everywhere from East London to Notting Hill. - Vogue.co.uk
Five or six years cumulatively. In the UK. Jake. Across the pond. Isn't that something? What happened to New York City?
The Yankees ballcap. The pap-free "No, no, no, no, no, no" condo? Subway trains. La Colombe Coffee. Brooklyn Nets games. Brick walls! He was embedded, wasn't he???
In the AnOther Man interview, again just released this past April, this was interesting.
Although he has been on stage, Gyllenhaal hasn't been on a film set to shoot a scene since the last day of the Spider-Man shoot in September 2018, and he says that he has no firm plans as to when he will next do so. Instead, he says he's been reading, cooking, especially for his nieces ("They like my cooking, you know"), letting his hair grow ("you sort of go: 'why not?'"), traveling, both to see his family in California and further afield. - AnOther Man April 2020
Does that mean his nieces have been in the UK as well, where Jake has now been spending alot of the past decade of his life? Hmmm.
Or....in California where Jake and Austin have likely been since the pandemic brought many Americans back to the States. Here was Jake going to Erewhon's in Santa Monica to pick up his groceries at the end of April.
All that cooking and sourdough bread baking, yet this is all Jake had to show for his grocery essentials pick up, lol.
We're not kidding! Boy, Jake loves to gaslight, doesn't he? ;-)
Jake had an audio of Seawall/A Life being released around this time of the talk show appearance and photo shoots, no doubt the main reason for the micro-burst prairie dog pop ups everywhere you turned. Jake was everywhere all of a sudden! But the mini-glut also came right on the very heels of Austin's birthday. Incredible timing, wasn't it? Or more like incredibly timed?
• SNIPPET: And Narnia is wondering why the story now is that one of our favorite athletes is said to have had an "ankle injury" rehab instead of "ankle clean-up surgery"???
• This entire, painfully lengthy video with Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris on singer Jewel's You Tube series, is stuffed with OTT playacting by the Ackles. But the very beginning, which focuses on why they became so involved with mental health is filled with such misdirection, it's actually surprising that Jensen's pants did not ignite right there in his chair.
Jensen states that it was the fandom, many fans' dealings with depression and other mental health struggles in addition to their reaching out to each other, which prompted the involvement.
Jared began his Always Keep Fighting Campaign in March 2015, interestingly enough just prior to his widely publicized mental breakdown and dash home, mere days before what event? JibCon. The whole story of Jared's campaign and "how it came about" is told here in Variety, "Supernatural Star Jared Padalecki Talks Depression and Why You Should 'Always Keep Fighting'".
Isn't Jared's breakdown the interpreted reason why Jensen was near tears while singing during the convention? The reason why Jensen now hovers over Jared, protectively hugging and patting his head?
And all the fans then say, "Awwwww"?
Because his dearest friend was now deemed fragile. Dealing with his mental issues, to the point he needed Jensen to guide him around. Couldn't be without Jensen for very long. Wasn't that the frequent chatter voiced on social media and on Spn Goss?
But now, it's both Jensen and Danneel who are the ones fighting the fight for mental health, due to the fans.
Aaaaa yes, the ol' eraser ploy. The erasing of Jared. No wonder Jensen had trouble getting his words out at first before he began spinning that Paul Bunyan-sized tale.
Phew! Writing about the Fake-eroni can be a bit,
Right? LOL. And we don't want to end on that note; but it should never cease to surprise what publicity teams stoop to having their clients be asked in video interviews (and Jewel was no doubt scripted to make sure and ask the Ackles what she did) or be quoted as saying.
But when a few of these guys seize a moment and fight to be heard, like Liam and Louis have numerous, numerous times. Like Harry, Zayn and Niall have at one time or another. Like Austin has, even though his Instagram post aimed at Tom Holland was taken down, altered and re-posted. Like Jake has with his wedding band at Heathrow or wearing the shoutout Chicago Bulls cap. Like Jared did with his #DateNight Instagram post (who will ever forget that?) And there is one other who will remain unnamed, but he has let his clothing and apparel do some loud speaking for him.
These bullhorn moments are something to see, signaling there comes a time when someone has experienced a tipping point and needs to be heard or maybe another reason which we just don't know. But we love it anyway!
Mr. Zayn Malik with the sleek shade:
Love that bling, Liam!
Kevin and Austin:
Harry's ubiquitous flag waving
And, Mr. Tomlinson with his two pink triangles and a vertically graffitied word that looks suspiciously like Style(s) from his "Miss You" music video,
And, how could we ever forget Louis' spotlighted
"H's dancing across the stage during his Royal
Variety Show performance of "Miss You," November 24, 2017
Bonus Easter Egg, Harry's voice saying "Louis" in the background of the song

Anyone notice this one too from the AnOther Man interview that I quoted above?
