When you have a stunt or incident for the ages (that you can't decide is organic or not), it can be difficult to add anything different to what's already been said on social media and in chat rooms, right? Not to mention, it may remain to fully be seen what the desired end result was.
Such is the case for the New Jersey Supernatural Convention (held the weekend of April 22-24) and all of its aftermath, culminating with the meard's (Misha Collins) confessional tweet novel. So while we wait for the next Supernatural Creation Convention Theater, Narnia has a few questions that have come up which we feel are worth pondering.
• Why is it always Jared Padalecki who "misses" conventions? What a track record! The "calamities" that have happened to this guy; it's just uncanny, is it not? The majority of his "cancellations" have occurred at Jus in Bello's, which are held in Rome, Italy, beginning in 2013 when Jared missed because as was later announced,
A "very serious event", tweeted by Jared's account on May 12, the last day of the convention.
Strangely similar to Jensen's wording to explain Jared's (once again) absence from New Jersey Con 2022, isn't it? Jensen's announcement coming on Sunday, May 24, also the last day of the event.
On the site Just Jared, that's how his absence reason was described:
"very bad car accident" |
Jibcon 2013, according to this source, the "very serious event" turned out to be a car accident, allegedly involving his sister-in-law. Amazingly, the meard Misha Collins was able to "fill in" and help Jensen with the panel he would have normally done with Jared. This was an "opportunity" that Collins would go on to "help" Jensen with, in future years at Jus in Bello (aka JibCon), a pattern that Narnia has mentioned several times before. (just enter the tag "JibCon" in the upper left corner search box)
JibCon 2014 - Jared ruled "out" for the remainder of the day, the announcement coming mid-Saturday morning of Jus in Bello, due to an alleged "shoulder/arm injury", one which had various diagnosis and origins of cause. The announcement came just prior to the infamous Cockles "makeout" on stage during the Jensen/Collins panel and "date night stroll" later that evening while Jared was allegedly convalescing. π
JibCon 2015 - Jared ruled "out" for the entire convention due to "not feeling well/mental issue/exhaustion", also various diagnosis during the course of the convention weekend, accompanied by fandom speculation over the contributing causes. Announcement not made until the first day of the convention.
JibCon 2016 - about a week and a half before the start of JibCon (held May 20-22, 2016) glorified bodyguard Cliffie Kosterman lets it slip that beard Genevieve Padalecki is going to be attending the convention. Turns out, she ends up sharing a stage panel with Jared and joining the closing ceremony. The presence of the beard helps to "occupy" Jared and again, clearing a seat for Collins to take center stage with Jensen. The plan had a rewarding backfire during the closing ceremony when Jensen was bitten by the green-eyed monster as Jared and his beard embarrassingly "carried on" while he was speaking.
Amazingly, 2017 through 2019 JibCon's were conducted with Jared in attendance and Management just decided to plunge ahead with Cockles-ville at all three and give Jared a General Admission seat to watch. [or was it that 1) someone had caught on to the pattern of "calamities" or 2) was it that Management was running out of ideas for extreme misfortunes to sideline Jared with?
DC Con 2019 - Right on the heels of his October 26, 2019 alleged "arrest" following a staged, I mean unfortunate Austin, TX bar room dust-up, Jared was announced as a cancellation at the Washington D.C. convention. (By the way, we're still waiting to find out whatever happened to that court date???). The convention was held November 1-3. Within days, Creation announced two new added guests and additional photo op$ for Jensen, Collins and various combinations thereof. The recovery was amazingly swift.
Oh, and Collins graciously stepped in to join Jensen for the Main Panel on Sunday afternoon, one that Jared would've normally attended. Plenty of Cockles to go around with Jared gone!
Then, COVID-19 arrived and there were no JibCon's in 2020 or 2021. There is one scheduled for this year 2022, but not until August 26-28 (corrected 05-31-22). (Won't that one be interesting.)
In the meantime though, what is the J's team to do when there's been a JibCon drought? Or more importantly, when there were some tasks which Jib was going to be used for, but with yet another postponement until the fourth quarter, that caused a dilemma. So, you move JibCon to U.S. soil and conduct it stateside.
New Jersey Con 2022 - An excerpt from a tumblr account (credited in sources) which had a print screen of Creation Entertainment Theater's announcement:
Jared was never in attendance due to these "personal reasons". Looking back, it's interesting that the plural form was used and not singular, knowing now what we do. Because it turned out to be singular - a "very bad" car accident. That's a pretty straight forward answer, isn't it? Clear cut. Black and white. And so the reason was known before the start of the convention because the announcement of Jared's cancellation was sent out to attendees on Tuesday, April 19. The convention would start three days later, on Friday, April 22.
"Personal reasons" is an interesting chosen alternative for car accident. Let's look at this a moment, because it shouldn't be glossed over.
Normally, something like a "very bad" car accident would be known quickly because law enforcement would be involved. That's TMZ territory. You know, like when Jared was "arrested" for drunken disorderly conduct in 2019. Like when Liam Payne was involved in an altercation with bouncers outside a bar in 2019? Even back in 2007, when Austin Nichols was arrested for his DUI in Michigan at 02:30 in the morning, the news was already released by news outlets later that same day on a Friday - August 24. People Magazine already had the story. The time stamp on their story is Friday, Aug 24, updated at 12:40 PM.
Instead, in the case of Jared's "personal reasons" convention cancellation, no one knows or hears anything until the sixth day, Sunday (and it's still not even known when or where the accident occurred) and the news release came from what source? Jensen. And announced during the morning Gold Panel at the convention.
From People.com:
While Padalecki, 39, hasn't discussed the details of the crash, his Supernatural costar Jensen Ackles previously said the actor was "lucky to be alive" after the accident.
"I don't know if you guys know what's going on," Ackles said at the Creation Entertainment's Supernatural Official Convention, which Padalecki was absent from. "He was in a very bad car accident. He wasn't driving, he was in the passenger seat, and he's lucky to be alive."
Ackles
added, "And not only that, but he's a home recovering which — the fact
that he's not in a hospital right now is blowing my mind because I saw
the car." - People.com, April 27, 2022
I guess we were to assume that the driver and any other possible passengers were also okay?
• Does this look like it would be a Texas peace officer's official drawing from the CR-3 report of a vehicle accident?
source: TMZ |
I don't know.....when one looks at examples online of a Texas car accident report (known as a CR-3 report) that officers are to use, there are numerous codes they are to use and a host of data to collect regarding the accident. Not to mention that TMZ's article states that the driver of the car was "Jeremy Padalecki", a cousin of Jared's, and charged with speeding. It is also stated that he "appears to have been most severely injured".
I don't know about anyone else, but if Jared missed the convention due to air bag bruising and other minor injuries, I'm wondering how his cousin is faring, since he was the "most severely injured".
Nonetheless, car crashes are a matter of public record. And the fact that everything was a mystery until Jensen spoke about the "very bad car accident" not until Sunday morning, should be eyebrow-raising as all get out.
Also warranting mention is how an enabler, I mean member of Jared's Walker posse, Anson Gordon, who is a stuntman, started posting on his social media around this same time frame, showing himself in a hospital. He's worked on Walker and his instagram promotes Energetic Armament LLC, which manufactures silencers. Nice. (sarc)
Notice how he never comes right out and says yes, he was in the car accident. What would be a reason to withhold that admission? After all, he would have been a passenger. Jared's cousin was already listed as being the "speeding" driver. Instead, fans are left to assume and speculate that oh, he's in the hospital, he's Jared's good friend, he must have been in the accident! Is that how that idea-planting is allowed to fester without having to come right out and commit to a definitive statement?
• Has Anson Gordon confirmed that he was in the vehicle at the time of the alleged car accident which caused Jared's cancellation from New Jersey Con in April?
Our narrative enlighten-er account @grumpygills, helps to show us what Anson Gordon's purpose has been since he entered the J2 enabling scene when the show Supernatural ended:
It seems like he’s exactly the type of guy Jared would want to hang
around with though. Guns, watches, big beard (in the pictures I saw), no
problem jetting off at a moment’s notice for paparazzi trips, no issues
with publicly blasting/shaming people. Good for Jared for finding a
kindred spirit! - msgrumpygills
Aaah yes, because Jared needs to have a scummy friend because he's scummy. Got it. smh
The contrived melodrama just never stops, does it? A lot of look-over-there, not-over-here distractions is what they are.
• Does anyone else recall such an "opportunity" at prior Supernatural conventions as to break bread with Collins on the first night? Amazingly, by mere coincidence, meard Misha Collins had a "Dine In and See" event on the Friday night of the convention. The convention a la carte item came with a meal, in Jake Gyllenhaal-speak, that means "light refreshments". Amazing. $199 for this sucker. And it just so happened to provide the setting for Collins' "misunderstood coming out". What a coincidence.
• Was this weekend of New Jersey Convention always intended to serve two purposes: 1 goal) to provide Jensen Ackles a stage of promotion for The Boys, which is set to premiere in early June? From the start of the weekend when a new interview of Jensen's was promoted on Saturday morning, right after Collins' "bisexual admission",
And what also needs to be noted that when Man About Town UK first posted this teaser for their spring/summer issue, the first sentence read as Jensen being the lead.
and then later "corrected" to read "as one of the leads", just so that fans could tweet provoking garbage like this:
Classic study of an intentional editing miscue planted just to stir up fans. The interview's main purpose was to promote Jensen in the upcoming Amazon Prime show, The Boys.
Indeed, the "lead/one-of-the-leads" typo was a new indescribable low for Jensen, Jared and their team. (Oh, and it won't end there, either. The entire weekend was a new low.)
Should we mention as well that in this post of Man About Town UK's, one of the many credits listed was that Jensen was wearing an Omega watch. And so you know what that triggered amongst the Cockles crowd. What a wild coincidence!
lol. I mean...I don't think even Jake's Cartier watch ads have blared out Alpha and Omega references. Surely it wasn't emphasized because hellers are always so obsessed with the idea of Collins being the Alpha and Jensen the Omega....
This piece of apparel below was also indicative of one of the main promotional objectives for the NJ Convention.
It could not have been more opportunistic that this convention theater was the last one which would be held before Jensen's debut in The Boys. The atmosphere and stage provided strategic and prime promotion time.
• Our second likely purpose: 2) set the stage for the possible snuffing-out of Cockles, after leading their fans on during the course of the convention while merch and photos were being sold? Collins' "misunderstood" statement about being "all three" when it came to this question posed to the audience at his Dine In and See with a light meal on Friday night,
This was planned. In no global conversation, do the three words "introvert, extrovert, and bisexual" have any connection.
And so began the buzz and prideful tweets.
Cockles stans were beside themselves. And this was allowed to go on the rest of the weekend. On Sunday, with Jared being gone, their fans were "finally" able to watch the two actors discuss the infamous "confession" scene from the episode entitled "Despair" of Supernatural. [Boy, that's not dramatic, is it? "Despair"?] This opportunity certainly worked out as well - some closure for them only possible at this time because why? Because Jared was gone and Collins took his place at the Main Panel.
You can see how Management has purposely created the divisiveness and hostility between fans, which contributes to posts or tweets like these,
"Hellercon'. Oh, indeed it was. Because, why? Because Jared was gone, that's why. How coincidental....
JibCon stateside. Jensen was ready.
A question came up which led to Jensen re-enacting how Collins looked walking in front of a mirror naked (a natural path of conversation when talking about images on T-shirts, right? π ), and a fan asked, "How did you know?", Jensen was top-level coquettish.
Gratuitous, pandering nonsense:
The "money" shot (this was the take-home prize Milkbone meant to last forever for the hellers). Was this their "Sushi Lunch"?
And in black and white, can't forget that.
Collins cleaned up for this convention. And what Narnia means by "cleaning up" is precisely that with soap, water and a razor. He also dressed nicer than he had at more recent conventions. After all, there was going to be hyper focus, planned People photos and glamour shots. π
Sorry folks, that will never supplant the real deal.
lol. The mere idea...one has to shake their head. But that Ackles even participated in and Jared agreed to such an exploitative stunt weekend is mind-boggling.
Back to questions.
• Why did Misha Collins wait until late afternoon on Monday following the convention to finally "set the record straight"? And it took five (5) tweets?
• Was it not always known that Misha Collins was "bisexual" in the fandom? It was known as long I followed Jared and Jensen at least, dating back to 2014. But here's the kicker. Where did this idea even come from? Because...
Writing in "The Threesome Handbook," Vantoch explained: "After several months in our trio relationship, my husband and I started telling friends about our girlfriend ... No one seemed to mind the concept of an occasional three-way fling with a stranger, but the concept of dating a third person was a bit much for polite company," she wrote (via GoodReads). - "The Truth About Misha Collins' Wife" on Nicki Swift.
An alleged threesome with his wife and another woman doesn't make Collins bisexual. It would've made his wife bisexual. It would've made Collins into threesomes.
Even though this mΓ©nage Γ trois story line with another
woman still pointed to him being straight, the show Supernatural allowed bio profiles
and Collins himself to continue to mislead the fandom all these years with tales like "sharing an apartment", clothing and jewelry signalling, etc.
Regardless, now Collins is considered "straight" and that kind of pours the bucket of water on the idea of "Cockles". Or does it?
Is he really just tucked back into the closet, as it was always intended to be?
Because why is this still Collins' pinned tweet at the top of his twitter home page?
And now that several weeks have quietly passed by since the huge hullabaloo, look - here he is again:
How likely does it look as though things will gradually just kind of slip back to pre-Bi-gate and Misha Collins will continue to do what he was brought on board to do, which is to help manipulate and derail fans' attentions away from the real couple, which is Jensen and Jared, and still retain the LGBTQIA+ fanbase and their dollars .
Most likely, the "very bad car accident" and the fodder and backstory it provided for the 2022 New Jersey Con was just....another stunt, [of gargantuan proportions, of course], in a long line of stunts. Not the first, not going to be the last.
You know, the quiet of this month of May (barring today's online release of The Boys trailer) following the bi-debacle would surrrrrrre help out a couple of parents who have children. What with the traditional ending of school terms and all...
There's another couple that Narnia follows who have also gone awfully quiet and MIA this merry month of May. They have a butt load of kiddos as well, Jake and Austin.
Isn't that just something.....
