The Continuing Saga of Travis Kelce's Takedown: When Retirement May No Longer Be Voluntary

Good heavens, I can identify with poor Mickey!  😅  I'm laughing on the outside, for sure.

But the key is to keep moving. Keep fighting. Gotta keep fighting and moving.  💪

This post is a quick follow-up to Narnia's January 5 continued scrutiny of the Kansas City Chiefs' franchise.

Warning:  This subject deals with insinuations/accusations of alleged domestic abuse.

🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒

Garlic necklaces everywhere and they are getting bolder and bolder all the time.  Listen to the victims, right?  That's the garlic necklace. Absolutely.

But, when you're dealing with the closet, it's best to slow it down a bit.  And proceed with caution.

On Wednesday, Jan 7, a former girlfriend of Chiefs' wide receiver Rashee Rice posts graphic photos of herself with bloodied facial features and damaged walls, cupboard door, etc. and supplements the photo deck with a long caption about years of abuse and how she is fed up.

Of course this is horrendous. If true.  But Narnia had a few curious questions and we have at least one answer right off the bat from Yahoo Sports a couple of days ago:

At this time, no police report has been filed in Dallas or Overland Park, Kansas where the ex-girlfriend alleges the abuse took place. - Yahoo Sports, January 8, 2026

No police reports.  A court of law will need to have police reports and solid evidence of who committed the assaults.

Or is that exactly why Rashee's name was not mentioned in the Instagram post?  So that legal action can't be taken, even though Narnia knows by this time, even announcements of legal action don't mean they're true or going to result in actual truthful punishment.  (Jared Padalecki's 2019 "assault" case being a clear example)

If the assumed guilty party (he's already been condemned on social media) did this?  Of course he should be charged.

But having followed the sabotage going on with several players on the Chiefs' team and all the shadiness that our last post talked about, Narnia just wants to make sure this isn't yet another false charge.

Isn't it interesting the timing of this story? Right after Travis Kelce states that if he can heal up the way he wants to, he'd return next season in a heartbeat.

Oh - and you've got to love how Jason drops that Chris Jones had already said that Travis was coming back.  LOL!

                                                        from New Heights podcast

Travis clearly is not ready to retire.  Is this latest Rashee Rice story (with yet another possible/probable suspension and loss of one of his best receivers for Patrick) any kind of possible intimidation to Travis into retirement?

We're just wondering.  The New Heights video clip regarding Travis' statement and the story about Rashee Rice come within a day of each other.

Oh, and one more thing.  Last September 14? Travis and several Kansas City Chiefs teammates perplexedly wore "Free 4" T shirts the day of the game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.  "4" stood for Rashee Rice's uniform number.  Rashee was under fire already for being involved in a (staged?) car accident the previous year and which he had to serve a suspension during the '25 season.  Let's face it, if TMZ is involved (like with Jared, Liam and Louis' narratives), one has to question the validity and complicity of their roles.

Understandably, the rewards to one of those players, Mecole Hardman, who wore the T shirt makes us already take pause.

•Ol' Mecole, who caught the winning touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII vs. the San Francisco 49'ers.  A long-time friend of Travis and Patrick; of which, it has looked like he's particularly close to Travis.  It was Mecole's girlfriend (???) whose Instagram account was used to help enable the endorsement of Travis and Shifty's fauxmance, as Shifty began attending Chiefs' games at Arrowhead.  Two years in a row, they helped place Shifty and Travis together.

 • On December 31, 2024, Mecole took a photo (we are assuming this is not a manip) with Shifty allegedly at her "Eras party".

• After his winning TD, Mecole made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show.

• In 2024, Mecole had one of the Chiefs cameos in Hallmark's "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story".

Mecole has helped out his teammate and Shifty. And he has had extra notoriety as his reward.  He's bounced around and had several stints with the Chiefs.  Narnia doesn't rule out yet another possible return at some point.  That is, if Shifty, her team and Travis need his "assistance" at any additional time.

It's easy to see why he was one of the select players to wear the "Free 4" T shirts.  For Travis, it was and will be, yet just another bullet point for all the reasons either a "break up" or a "divorce" will occur between him and Shifty.

And we ultimately see why the shirts were worn back in September.  The trolls and the planted accounts showed us why and were quickly out in force.

One of the "reliables" - "tiredasslesbian"

And then there's our "old friend" Scott Tea, aka @"GrateScotty, whom Narnia has written about before.  We're not wasting more space on his planted nonsense.  It's clear when he came onto the scene just prior to training camp in 2023, that Scott Tea was sent to the Shifty fandom to help sell all the narratives.  He is a nasty piece of work.

And there's "Holly Flower", another obvious Shifty plant.

How about "Holly Flower" retweeting "Scott Tea"?   Tag Team time.

All three of these X accounts are contributing already to Travis' Twitter/X search, raking him over the coals for being friends with Rashee Rice and wearing the "Free 4" T-shirt.

Quite the at-the-ready roll-out.  We've seen these kinds of social media roll-outs before.

Narnia doesn't know if Travis and his teammates were asked to wear the shirts by someone who knew what was going to happen on January 7?   In other words, Narnia doesn't know if Travis knew beforehand.  At the time, it was totally befuddling to all of us why those guys wore the T shirts on that game day last season.

But, it seems quite clear now.  They were worn so that they could come back and bite Travis in the posterior as soon as the news broke about Rashee.

It would also appear that this Rashee Rice disaster story has made an Enty Lawyer's Crazy Days and Nights' blind.

Oh, it's allllll been ready to go. What does CDAN care about Rashee Rice and his girlfriend(?)  Enty Lawyer could care less.   No, that "blind" has everything to do with Travis Kelce.

All of this is to help Travis look bad and to fire a warning shot. Rashee is just a rung on that ladder to help TPTB along the way to achieve their narrative goals. The big one being for Travis to retire and not return to the Kansas City Chiefs, a decision he pondered on during the Kelce's podcast earlier this past week.

💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

We'll end it on this note.

There is alot that closeted celebrities/athletes have to put up with. Along with the pap and red carpet walks, and interviews with words they never said, shoved into their mouths.  They have to deal with sexual harassment, beards and sometimes even meards who were never asked for, or instances of image smearing.

The stress of it all begins to show with premature greying of hair, facial lines that shouldn't be there for one so young.  Drinking or substance abuse issues.  Anger issues.

The creative ones sometimes figure out ways to rebel and will act out.  Sometimes the individual will get away with it.  And other times, it's looked like they are later punished for their orneriness by TPTB.

Acting out.

- Like Jake wearing his wedding band in plain, exhibited sight at Heathrow Airport,

- Like Austin posting his Spiderman instagram post and tagging Tom Holland, who had been overstepping himself during promo with Austin's spouse Jake (and the post soon edited),

- Like Jensen Ackles putting air quote marks around "married" on a convention stage with the beard Genevieve Cortese standing mere feet away

- Like too many moments to count with the beautifully brazen members of One Direction, every single one of them has stepped out on that ledge with a tattoo, a piece of clothing, a stuffie (plush animal), a tweet.

With the Chiefs, Narnia believes there were two blatant head-scratching moments that were likely moments of acting out.

1) "her wife" - During Super Bowl week last year, amidst the pressers and numerous interviews, Patrick was talking at the mic about Shifty (Taylor Swift) and said "I feel like I've built up a great friendship with her and her wife", followed by "my wife", as though he was correcting "her wife" with "my wife", which wasn't going to make sense in the sentence if that's what he had really intended to say.

The video:

What was that, Patrick?

Exactly. The normally very polished, prepared Patrick make a slip about Shifty's wife?  We squint skeptically.  Oh no, not that we doubt what he said.  We just doubt the reason why he would slip up.  Patrick was not going to out Shifty like that in a careless slip, in an interview, during Super Bowl week.

Was it because he knew what was coming that Sunday in the Super Bowl vs. the Philadelphia Eagles?  In front of millions and millions of people across the world? Remember the Chiefs played unbelievably badly, almost like they forgot how to play.   It was an annihilation.  An embarrassing, humiliating defeat.  Who wouldn't be mad if you knew you had to purposely not play up to your capabilities and lose out on a once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity of a 3-peat?

And who was online to tell us right off the bat, that oh, it was a "slip".   Scott Tea.

Ohhhhhh, it was a Freudian slip? Yeeeeahhh, we don't know about that, Scotty.  Patrick is pretty sharp, pretty darn savvy.  More like Tea was performing a bit of Aisle 13 clean-up.

2) "tonsil tickling" - Mmmhmm.  Fast forward to the following season, still in 2025. This one came by way of Coach Andy Reid, of all people.  Talk about a shocker.  In an interview on December 01, the normally professional and clean-cut Andy went on a rather uncharacteristic flexing boast about how the Chiefs were going to be playing in their upcoming December 7, Sunday Night Football game vs. the Houston Texans, a critical, need-to-win contest if the Chiefs were to even make the playoffs this season.  The team was in dire straits.  The game was nationally broadcast in prime time.  There were HALLMARK STARS in attendance!  Kansas City Royals' star baseball players Vinnie Pasquantino and Bobby Witt, Jr. were there!  Ugh.

I digress.  Here was the video of Andy.

                                                             via lexiososborne twitter

"We're gonna try to tickle your tonsils"

And then Andy went on in that game to make some real head scratching decisions.  Uncharacteristic.

This fan account points out how the Chiefs proceeded to go win-less since the "tonsil" comment and another fan plants one of numerous seeds how Andy is faltering just like he did in Philadelphia (the previous team that he coached) before needing to be replaced.

"He's come full circle just like he did in Philly.  Time to hang 'em up coach."

Suddenly, this 3-time Super Bowl winning coach had lost his touch!  Couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag!  It's mind-boggling what humans will follow right to the water trough without giving one single pause to question what they're seeing?  In this case, it seems kind of unlikely that the NFL would want one of their coaches talking about "tonsil tickling"??

But, this author is certainly open to two possibilities with Andy.  Was he acting out?  Or had he been handed a script so that he could look like a fool after the Chiefs lost?  And thus, start all the fan wishing and demanding that it was time Andy hang it up?  But if Andy was acting out because he already knew his team was not going to play up to its capabilities on purpose, then the league knew Andy would be criticized anyway.

Either way, these two instances were simply out-of-character actions.  And when that happens, it seems only fair to question, especially when accompanied by alot of other odd happenings. Odd happenings that really ramped up since the arrival of who?  Ms. Taylor Swift.

Because after that Houston Texans game on December 7, look what the Daily Fail published.

The moment a heartbroken Travis Kelce had to face the music following his game-sealing error on Sunday has emerged.

The Kansas City Chiefs' season came to a crushing end on Sunday after a 20-10 defeat to the Houston Texas left them 6-7 and facing a near-impossible challenge to claw their way to the post-season.

And Kelce, who has become a legendary figure throughout his 13 seasons in Kansas City, was forced to shoulder some of the blame.

With three minutes remaining and the Chiefs trailing 17-10, the three-time Super Bowl winner spilled a pass from Patrick Mahomes that led to an interception.

The tight end was captured looking crestfallen on the Kansas City bench immediately following the blunder and it now appears his heartbreak followed him down the tunnel.

In a clip shared on social media, a solemn Kelce, who reportedly refused to speak to reporters following the game, was captured slowly trudging down the tunnel towards the locker room. - "Moment solemn Travis Kelce has to walk past Chiefs fans after shocking drop that ended their season", Daily Fail, Dec 8, 2025

And, Leo DiCaprio at that game?  At Arrowhead?   Of all the ludicrous fabrications.  He had other things to do rather than sit inside an Arrowhead suite.  In a coat.  The purpose of sitting in a suite in December is normally to not have to wear a coat.

What a hatchet job the season of 2025 turned out to be after seasons of success and record-setting play.

Let's hope for the best possible outcome for these guys and for the others that Narnia follows because no matter how there are days which can really test our stomachs, days when we doubt where the truth lies?

We try to remember that we're merely observers and need to jump out of ourselves.  These guys are the ones who are living it.

  1. Rashee Rice had just finished serving a six game suspension! He had been punished and he knew another mess up could possibly jeopardize his entire career. It would be mind-blowing to throw that away. Could he have? Sure he could. But it makes no sense. It was playing with absolute fire.
And no police reports? His name is not even mentioned in the post?
I have questions, I'm sorry. And yes, we're to believe the victims. No one believes the victims, I know that. But on top of everything else with this team this past season and the very day after Travis says that he would love to come back another year if he can heal okay.
    It's just too coincidental.

  2. It's also important to make note that Rashee is on his rookie contract. So is Tyquan Thornton. Neither is a veteran with a substantial amount of years of service.
Is there something about when these players are on their rookie contracts that they can be compromised more easily?
