Narnia Snapshots: Beanies, Buzz Cuts, and Covert Bamboozling

Greetings to our guests!  Not sure how, but we're all still hanging in there after a holiday weekend and ready to start a new week, right?  Right?  😄

We have flipped the page to a new month; where did the summer go?

Let's just roll up our sleeves and jump right in. Here we go!

•  What are the odds that again this year, something appears to be afflicting the Chiefs' left tackle (and Patrick Mahomes' primary defender), Josh Simmons?   Allegedly, the injury concerns his back now.  Last year it was an alleged personal issue which remained one of the best kept secrets in all time Chiefs history and still remains in the organization's vault.

The left tackle is a very important position in football for a right-handed quarterback, which is what Patrick is.  A quick look-up online of that position shows how crucial it is.  Left tackles protect the QB, often without assistance from other teammates. So they are basically the primary position that handles the opposing team's efforts to neutralize the quarterback's efforts to gain yardage.

And so now for the second season in a row, the Chiefs player at that position has become a week-to-week concern with regard to practice availability (let alone being able to play). Thus mystifying and irritating both the fans and the media. In addition to just being an overall daily, repetitive big story as the NFL enters into the first week of the season.  And it's Andy Reid, the head coach, who week-to-week is the one who stands at the podium and answers on the organization's behalf.

Directly below is Coach Andy Reid's quote from one of his post-practice pressers.  "See if it's right or what's wrong with it" - See if it's 'right'?  Well, if it's keeping him out of practice, then it couldn't be "right", could it?  Very strange wording by Andy, who has developed a habit of using vague or odd phrases just like that one.

So we have "Josh Simmons Watch" going on with an example directly below of a previous update.  And looks like the twitter account this author refers to as "Tone Deaf" is all about replying to multiple Chiefs-topic'd tweets with the repeated mantra of the Chiefs' locker room being "DOA" or broken.  I was already familiar with the "Tone Deaf" account because he had been noticed in Royals' twitter activity earlier in the baseball season, constantly replying to any tweet about rookie catcher, Carter Jensen, with his opinion on Carter's "inferiority".  So his account had already brought red flags. 🚩🚨🚩

This was his reply to Farzin Vousoughian's update on Simmons:

Now, it should be noted that ultimately Andy Reid does not make the personnel moves.  At least in that department, he will defer to Chiefs General Manager, Brett Veach, the man behind all the decisions and transactions. It just seems that whenever there is a player controversy going on, it's always Andy at the podium addressing the questions. 🎤

And now, in a new development, it sounds like it is very possible that a rookie may be playing in Josh Simmons' place instead of proven veteran Jaylon Moore, in next Monday night's season opener against divisional opponent, the Denver Broncos.

Will we have another Harry Styles Trap Door situation taking place if indeed that is the plan? To start a rookie in place of Simmons?

Another critical player position to the entire Chiefs offense this season is running back and their newest player, Kenneth Walker, who was the 2025 Super Bowl MVP.  Now, he has had an ankle injury before, so swelling could be something he deals with the rest of his career/life, right?  It's possible.  But Narnia is still watching.  So far, it is looking like he will be ready to go.

Hopefully, there will not be as much melodrama this season, but ... that would be like expecting a snow-free winter in Jackson Hole, WY.  Why?  Because as long as:

* 15 (Patrick) and 87 (Travis) are on the same team,

* as long as 15 is trying to chase Tom Brady's records,

* as long as Andy is trying to move up the ladder of coaches' wins, and

* as long as Shifty, aka Taylor Swift, is associated with the Chiefs via Travis Kelce,

* as long as we see the planted accounts every single day running Travis down and peddling a lot of the same old fake narratives

then it seems there is bound to be manufactured melodrama.

• In Oct 2017, Narnia wrote a post "Behold the Emasculation Proclamation!  Part 4 - Revelations",  which was part of a series on various ways that TPTB utilized to control half of a closeted couple.  With Jared, it was (and still is) a beanie which oftentimes makes him look like a Q-Tip.  Don't ever doubt TPTB underlying intentions when it comes to "working uniforms".   Here he was in 2017 during an outing at Top Golf,

do you see anyone else wearing a beanie in the summer?

When asked by Jensen about the beanie earlier this year (via zoom) at the Norfolk Con (one that Jared just happened to have missed due to an alleged broken leg), Jared said:

Ohhhhhh, Jared wears it indoors as well as outdoors because it's his (security) "blankie".  I think the 2026 term would be more like "emotional support beanie", wouldn't it?

So, one could say it's also become like a signature trademark, which is why it is puzzling why the "emotional support accessory" wasn't used in this recent promotional photo for an upcoming Netflix movie that Jared will be starring in with Leighton Meester and Andie MacDowell?

Huh, well, look at that!

No beanie or Albert Einstein stylin' for Netflix?  😉

Seeing "Heated Rivalry"'s Connor Storrie buzz cutting his hair recently also brought to mind the old 2017 Emasculation Proclamation post and Jared's "emotional support" beanie.

Who's buying this explanation from Connor?

TPTB sure had this explanation ready to go, didn't they?

While promoting Heated Rivalry season one in December 2025, Connor said he was ready to cut all of his hair off.

“I’m ready to cut this stuff off, if y’all want me to be completely honest,” he replied to a fan tweet about his curly hair routine in a Teen Vogue video. “I’m ready to shave my head. I don’t know who’s out there, but someone hire me and give me a crazy haircut.”

In a “Get Ready with Me” video for Vogue in January, Connor also teased cutting his hair.

“Just wait until we do something, and until we cut it all off,” he says in the clip while his groomer, Kerrie Urban, tousles his hair. “I want to.”

The last time Connor had shorter hair was while filming his upcoming movie, April X, back in 2024. If you missed it, a new trailer was recently unveiled after the movie received a September release date. - Just Jared, August 23, 2026

"The last time Connor had shorter hair" was while filming April X?  You mean this short?

Riiiight.  After all, what fashion conscious, out-and-about guy doesn't want to have everything accented with nearly coconut-shell length hair?

Look at this lone comment on that Just Jared post from a fan familiar with the Heated Rivalry book series:

Hmmmm.  Not keeping the characters true to form?  Interesting.

Here was Connor last night at the Creative Arts Emmys.

Maybe Connor could give Jared a ring and they can compare notes on their imposed hair restrictions.  😉

🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩

And, beards?  I mean, "wives", we know you're supposed to be "with child".  There is no need to keep putting the cradling hand under the "bump" like a laser pointer.  We know what that is and what it is announcing. 😉

🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼

Why is the official ABC News twitter account posting a remembrance for Liam Payne's "heavenly" birthday this past August 29, 2026?

That's not Just Jared.   Not Page Six.  Not US Weekly.  Not Pop Base.  Not the Daily Fail, I mean Mail.

But ABC News.

As M&M told this author when this was seen on Twitter.

ABC is owned by Disney.

Disney and Sony/Simon Cowell have long had a special relationship and continue to partner on several business projects.  Also, One Direction took a number of stunt photos in Disney parks with their beards back in the day.

Niall + beard Steinfeld at Disneyland 2018

Zayn + beard (that's her blond hair) Perrie Edwards at Dis-Paris

And not to leave out Mr. Louis Tomlinson, who appeared at Disneyland Paris in August 2013. LOLLLL! The winter wear seems a bit out of place, don't you think?:

with Eleanor "me girlfriend" Calder

Zayn and Edwards were at Disneyland Paris in 2014.   So as one can see, M&M recalled quite correctly.  Not only that, but Harry Styles' Pleasing brand collaborated with Disney for a 30-item line of skincare products, apparel, etc. in 2024.

One more Disney and Sony association:

In May 23, 2012, the members of One Direction attended actor Will Smith's premiere for "Men in Black III" in New York City.

"Men in Black III" was distributed by Sony Pictures.

It would be ten (10) years later when Liam Payne was set up in that disastrous "accent" interview post-Oscars.  Oscar watchers also remember that awards show as the one where Will Smith allegedly was so upset at Chris Rock that he went up on stage and slapped him.  And then Liam was interviewed and ... well, Narnia talked about all of this in our post "December Drifts:  Signals From All Directions" in December '22 as well as "Liam Payne's Own 'Beautiful War' Against the Music Industry" in April '22.

Do you the reader, feel like this dog yet?

There are other business partnerships between Sony and Disney, including Sony Pictures acquiring "control over Disney Home Entertainment" in 2024.

The daily number of stories that still continue about Liam's alleged fatality in Argentina continue to involve too many moving parts, too many rabbit holes.  In an admirable fashion, fans are militant about getting to the truth, now more than ever.

Next month will be the "anniversary" of the incident.

Fans should notice though, who isn't as militant about finding out the truth.  And they should wonder why.

The family.  The band members. His close friends.

Of all people, they should be more up in arms than anyone if they're seeing all of the same missing puzzle pieces that the fans are.  Instead, all we're seeing are interviews of band mates reminiscing and family members posting lengthy missing-you messages. Two years later.

Please pause and contemplate before sending money to fund investigations unless you know for sure where, and for what purpose, that money is being used for.

As we continue to watch any further possible proceedings as far as Liam's incident is concerned, a wise saying from Oh My Godot's Grand Poobah, "Special K" comes to mind:

"Sometimes you gotta go big, to hide big."

There were a couple of other items to be brought to the table that this author will instead tackle in the next post.   It's time to get this puppy published and on with our week!

December Drifts: Signals From All Directions

Well, let's see, this year's tree has another section of pre-lit lights blown out on it.  Isn't it all kinds of annoying when you have to buy lights to add to a pre-lit tree?  But at least it's not fallen over like those guys' tree up there, lol.  😂

We have a potpourri of items today, little bit of this, little bit of that.  So let's get right to it!

• This is cool stuff.  Did you catch the letter H's in the trim of the overhang of the building behind Louis Tomlinson while he sang Silver Tongues?

gif credit to cuddlerlouis,

This guy is always at the drafting board, isn't he?  👍👍👍💓   One needs to always keep a watchful eye and maintain a magnifying glass with these 1D men!

• And while this isn't really "cool" as Louis's subtlety up above, this tweet was very revealing and is not a coincidence.

Much as many fans would like to think otherwise, Zayn Malik is not totally free yet either. Just note who RT'd about his new collaboration. That's right. Jimi Hendrix's music is on the Sony label.

All five members of One Direction are still tethered to some degree to Sony Music, although gradually there have been a number of signs of leash loosening, with some showing more encouraging progress than others.  The hot air balloon is still tied though, so it's not fully up in the air just yet.

•Well, in the eleventh hour, minor adjustments were made on our Liam Payne update, with lots of striking out and deletions, until finally I said oh chuck it, and threw the couple of paragraphs out the window!

It had been awhile since we've seen Liam and the mini-hiatus makes sense when you look at how he has become the subject of tabloid taunting, falsehoods and misrepresentations (particularly during this last year) whenever he tries to step out into the public eye.   Today, we were greeted with several Instagram stories and photos from the man himself at the British Fashion Awards.

There was lots of fanfare and the trending of #LiamIsBack was understandable as well. It is easy to be excited over his re-appearance.  After all, Liam looked great.

Liam Payne at British Fashion Awards - Classic

Without question, Liam has taken the Classic Suit of Resplendency baton from Jakers and run with it!  😉 👔   However, before we at Narnia could get too cautiously excited, the ever-reliable Daily Fail let us know that Liam's hot air balloon is still anchored to the ground.

No, we're not going to show the hanger-on for she's not even worth the effort of a Narnia search hash-tag.

It is lovely to see Liam, but it is apparent to see in the photos with the beard, he was not 100% in the moment. Understandable, given the pretense on display.

Another recent case of beard shoehorning was this staged photo op (if it wasn't a composite, that is) publicized the day of the theater opening of the film, Stranger World, which involved Jake Gyllenhaal needing to be seen with his beard, allegedly on the deserted sidewalks of New York City.  From November 23:

Let's see, when were they last seen photo-oping?  This past August?   Supposedly also in the Big Apple, prior to Baby Tile Hugo's birthday?  In other words, Narnia serves up these photos with an a la carte helping of side-eye!  😉

•  Speaking of Jake, isn't it interesting that after his RL spouse Austin posted this video on November 8, the one where it appeared doggo Otis was put in harm's way,

that the non-profit animal rights organization PETA tweeted at him, two days later on the 10th?  Not about the video, but about goats.  Out of the blue, they tweet at Austin about goats.  Made no sense whatsoever...

Hmmm.....perhaps PETA's tweet was one of these...

Orrrrrr, OR....was PETA brought in to hint that Austin was not endangering his doggo?  That the video was a manipulation and thus, friendly fire?  I suppose the from-out-of-left-field tweet could have been intended to convey that message, which Methodical Muser speculated might be the case.  My interpretation was the former.  So she and I are still tugging on that piece of rope for this discussion.  😉😁  I'm willing to listen, M&M...

but, the Robert DeNiro gif is the only one at my disposal right now.   LOL!

•  The Will Smith "slap-gate" story continues to merit following for at least two reasons. First, because it was used as a key point of reference for Liam Payne's "interview accent" set-up and trending meme the night of the Oscars.  Narnia wrote about the origin of Liam's now infamous Good Morning Britain interview in this post called, "Liam Payne's Own 'Beautiful War' Against the Music Industry" , pointing out how the Chris Rock/Will Smith incident was used as a springboard for further tarnishing Liam's image, with barnacle/gatekeeper Steve Finan O'Connor by his side; that alone makes Narnia look twice at the infamous "slap" heard 'round the internet.

The incident also merits continued watching because it is shaping up to be a classic example of an OTT stunt, followed by the increasingly familiar components of a self-imposed hiatus and compensation through industry rewards.

So, it looks like Chris Rock will get to host a live comedy special on Netflix, the first of its kind and, if successful, could become the first of many future live streaming programs for the subscription service.  This is an important gig for Chris Rock.

Meanwhile, Will Smith has begun his re-emergence after the "hiatus of shame".  He has a new film coming out in theaters at the end of December, before streaming on Apple+.  It is called Emancipation, and the movie is directed by a familiar face, Antoine Fuqua, who has worked with Jake several times.  Will has begun his tentative walk back into the public's forgiving graces by stating the following,

Guy Ritchie has given his endorsement that he would gladly work with Will again!

And an endorsement from Rihanna:

So, Will Smith disappeared from sight after the high-profile, trending catastrophe that some wondered if his career would recover from, but now suddenly here comes a new film!  Chris Rock has already received a perk and gradually, the general public will forget what happened.  That's what time does.  The goal of the stunt, which was for these words to play on repeat on video after video:

"Get my wife's name..."

THAT right there?  That was the purpose of that stunt - the two words "my wife's".

You know, the utterance reminds us of that press conference for the film Brothers, on December 3, 2009, when Jake said two words which were big enough to grab People.com headlines:

That was a big deal back then because it was supposed to be a solid "confirmation" of the relationship.  People gives readers the full quote, which begins with,

"Obviously, I exist in my girlfriend's world..."

And how about the Louis Tomlinson airport incident in March 2017?  The purpose of that stunt outing was for Louis to have his words, "my girlfriend", recorded on video for all to hear and appear on TMZ. An event, Narnia covered in near real time. The kind of stunt that has Simon Cowell and PR boil on the face of humanity, Simon Jones written all over it. After all, what better way to reintroduce Eleanor Calder to the fandom than through Louis' "own" words.

Just Another Saturday Morning in the Larrie Fandom

And as seen with the positive words from Antoine Fuqua and Rihanna for Will Smith, we see another tactic that agencies and PR teams use by selecting a respected name to publicly praise and/or confirm another peer or relationship. Thereby, providing an official stamp of approval and endorsement of credibility.

For example, in July 2012, here was Rihanna being used to lend a stamp of "credibility" to Eleanor as Louis' "girlfriend".

"Happy Birthday to Eleanor, girlfriend of Louis from One Direction...".

Okaaaaaayyy...

"My girlfriend"

"My wife"

Oh, and another biggie:   "My fiance".

The words are worth a million bucks to publicist teams. And they're used often.  Ever seen the Seinfeld episode where Elaine Benes is at a party and becomes annoyed with another woman who keeps saying "my fiance"?   This is classic.

LOL!

In all seriousness though, the eventual use of these terms by a closeted celebrity stands out to us because usually, the celeb is reluctant to use the identifying noun.  That's why it becomes such a monumentally tabloid-ish event when the term "my girlfriend" or "my fiance" is spoken aloud.  Thus, the People.com headlining with the "G-word", in Jake's case.  *eyeroll*

Also on this list, we should include, "My son" in the cases of Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson.

The possessive nouns become valuable stamps in the passbook of het credibility.  In the case of stunt babies and the repetition of the words "my son", it is full of mental imagery that the couple did the deed, thus producing the child.

• While on the subject of alleged offspring, let's look at something of particular interest to the Larrie and Ziam fandoms.  Guess what happens now when you Google the names of Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik.

First, we have Louis:

This is simply inputting the name.  Note to the far right, Google is giving the public the category of "Children" and adds "Freddie Reign Tomlinson" under the heading.

Then, there's Liam:

Oh look.  Now, Liam also has a "Children" category, along with "Bear Grey Payne".

And Zayn?  Well, that should mean that he too has mention of a child...right?

Huh.  Look at that.  The "Children" category is missing.  All three of these screenshots were taken on December 4, 2022.   What could that mean?  Well, here's something rather interesting.  Back in July 2018, this arrangement was posted on Instagram by Harry Styles' tour mascot, Stage Left Doris, the stuffed llama.

Besides nodding an approving, "Hello," to the pink boa-adorned llama, we note the two dolls.  Most importantly, the timing of the post follows the birth years of Freddie Reign (2016) and Bear Payne (2017).  The clothing on one doll would seem to point towards Louis, because the model figurine is obviously wearing Louis Blue, a color also equated with his mic match and his signature eye pigmentation.  And the orange clothing?  Could that be a mix of red/yellow (mic colors of both Liam and Zayn)?  There wouldn't be three dolls in 2018, since Zayn's stunt baby would not be "born" until 2021.

But notice something else.  The doll in orange is without feet.  What could that mean?  Well, Methodical Muser did some checking around and look what she discovered.

From April 2018, just three months before this photo was posted, this headline and story appeared from the Associated Press:

A nonsense story about Liam "still trying to find his feet" on stage (supposedly his own quote), despite his success from releases of Strip That Down, Get Low and Bedroom Floor in 2017.

It's impossible to make this stuff up, lol. But given Harry's quirky humor and him being aware that this headline was known to the 1D fandom at the time, what better way to get a point across about who that other doll was referencing. After all,  if a story needs to be circulated throughout American media, the Associated Press is the go-to news agency. Liam "Trying to find his feet" Payne is really just too perfect not to use.

Soooo, given that Google does not list Zayn as a father, could it be that his stunt baby was not originally planned as part of 1D's hiatus narrative (maybe because Sony did not want Zayn to have a father image being that it might hurt his sales and artist appeal), but instead was a later a la carte, strong arm add-on? If that's the case, then for what purpose?  Was it some negotiated agreement to help free Zayn earlier than planned from the nightmare that was Zigi, while also establishing his het cred. Or, was it punishment because Liam was not cooperating with the daddy image Sony wanted to continue to create for him?

There's no doubt, that Louis and Liam were the two singled out in 1D for the most retaliatory actions on the part of Sony and Syco.  Simon Cowell, in particular, seemed especially intent on destroying both of their music careers, while getting rid of those pesky gay rumors with their band mates, Harry and Zayn. The two band mates Sony wanted to be successful and make money for them throughout the "hiatus".

Either way, the blue and orange clad dolls that Doris, the Llama posted on her Instagram (July 13, 2018) just one day before People announced the beginning of Louis' Babygate (July 14, 2015) were undeniably hinting at Liam and Louis. Just like Harry's "Kiwi" song lyrics about "I'm having your baby. It's none of your business," specifically points to Louis' Babygate.

In short, the photo points to two Babygates, confirmed by Doris the Llama one day before Harry ended his Live On Tour in Los Angeles. The home city of Babygate.  A petty Harry is the best Harry.  LOL!
