Father's Day 2016: Louis Tomlinson & Freddie Reign vs the story of Jake Gyllenhaal & the Family Tiles

This is a short study in the contrast between the state of "fatherhood" for Louis Tomlinson, member of One Direction, and Jake Gyllenhaal, army-green pants clad Hollywood actor.

Great to see Management providing a perfect study tool like this article from Celebnow.com to exhibit how Louis' state of "fatherhood" is handled.  A few exemplary quotes:

He’s travelled the world and performed in some of the biggest venues, but Louis Tomlinson got to experience something brand new: his first Father’s Day.

Louis melted all our hearts when he took to Twitter days after little Freddie’s birth in January.

But today we’re putting all the drama aside to celebrate Louis’s first Father’s Day with a collection of the CUTEST snaps of the proud dad and his little lad. Enjoy!

The last sentence is then followed with numerous pictures of Louis and Freddie which have been well-publicized since the birth of this fictional story in January of 2016.  In-your-face recycling and a This Is Your Life presentation.

Then there's the other end of the spectrum where you have Jake Gyllenhaal who is a closeted father in real life, but his high profile, public image is that of a single, straight male with no children.  Let's repeat - with no children.

Jake Gyllenhaal opens up about his desire to be a father: "It is definitely a dream of mine."  - ET Online

"I am not a father yet."    (from the same ET Online interview)

Jake Gyllenhaal on Playing a Father in Southpaw: 'I Would Love for It to Not Be Fictional' - People

While the 34-year-old actor has not been able to add "father" to his résumé offscreen, it's something he looks forward to in the years to come.   (from the same People interview)

"Nothing gets me more excited than thinking about being a husband and a father one day. There is no purpose I can see in the world more important than that."   -  International Business Times

Both celebrities' fatherhood or "lack" thereof are both highly touted in the media and the ironic part is that in both cases, the opposite is true.

To all the fathers, caretakers, mentors, and time-givers on this Father's Day, we salute and thank you.

Excellent post, PG. Celebrity culture is just a farce nowadays when it comes to the closet. It used to be that having contracted fake girlfriends and wives was enough to satisfy TPTB. Now we have in your face fake fatherhood narratives being sold to the general pubic, using the Internet and social platforms as the oracles of "truth." Of course, the same tools used to create the myths can be used to expose the lie. When you live by the sword, you die by the sword too:

With Louis' current, management-imposed situation, the proof of the charade is unbelievably limitless. Just study the story for more than a second and one will find enough holes to drive a truck through. Right down to the farcical name of the "baby" in question: Freddie Reign. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! (Freddie Mercury aka QUEEN, anyone?)

That name "Freddie Reign" never ceases to crack me up. Who would name their baby that?

And then there's Jake reiterating every time a mic is thrust in his face that he has no children, but he wishes that he did because he "loves to love things". smh.

Two contrasts and both have a false scenario being pushed in fans' faces.

Happy Father's Day to the real fathers, Jake and Austin. Don't care if they don't want the wishes, they're getting them anyway.

;D

Off to spend the day with my mom and sister. Hope folks will get to spend some time today with the fathers and male role models/figures in their life. Just being together means all the world on these types of special days. They're not looking for expensive gifts. As folks get older, it means more to them just being together and spending time laughing and visiting.

Yeah, I had a lovely day with family.. hope you guys did too.

Louis on the other hand predictably had to do some OTT bearding involving paps.. sigh. This whole thing is silly.

Hi FlyMe, great to see you. Father's Day is turning out to be a Mgmnt-infested holiday like birthdays and anniversaries, looks like. Of course, we had Jensen posting a cute pic with his daughter, but then his beard posts a birthday party pic of the family unit. I found it interesting how that picture did not appear on Jensen's Instagram, but on his beard's.

Then, we had Austin and his beard Bennet posting an old pic and trying to pass along that she's in Austin with him. What those two haven't learned how to do yet and appear to be averse to doing, is to place themselves at real time events where it's indisputable that they are really there together. Not only that, they are averse to selling their fauxmance to the official likes of Just Jared and major gossip sites. Theirs is a social media fauxmance, one which can be manipulated with Photoshopping, enabling by co stars, and GPS insinuations.

I have to ask if the likes of Rob Kardashion and Blac Chyna can sell a fauxmance on Just Jared on a fairly regular basis, why won't Austin and Bennet since they are so fond of using social media so heavily?

I think the answer to that is because Austin is married to Jake in real life and has a butt load of kids. I can't think of any other reason.

I'm glad to hear you had a lovely day with your family, FlyMe. :-) I did too, plus the Royals won, so that was awesome.

I hope 1D becomes free soon. Theirs is like the contract that will not end.

Cheerio folks, I think this kid is about to hit the hay. :-)

Yeah, I find it amusing that photo appeared on Danneel's instagram but not on Jensen's and they also posted the same father's day photo which seemed a little like overkill.

That's hilarious that Austin and his beard tried to play off an old photo as a new one. Have to get up earlier in the morning. Ugh, love hate relationship with Instagram on these days.

Well, I'll put it this way. This little slide show they've been putting on is not real time.

If Austin had truly been with that beard of his as long as they would have everyone believe, the state of Austin's hair follicles would not be near as well-cultivated as they are now. ;D
