It Could Be a Long Winter for Austin, aka Calgon Take Me Away

A little bit of fun speculation this fine Saturday morning.  If one happened to search Austin Nichols on Twitter this past week, no doubt you saw this tweet, spotting him in Jackson, MI.

We're familiar with Austin being seen in Michigan, particularly the areas of Jackson and Lansing.  Of course, his mother was from the area and grew up spending many summers at nearby Clark Lake, MI which is only 12 miles from Jackson and 54 from Lansing.

Let's take a look further at the tweeter's response to an inquiring mind:

Oh, look at that.  Ashley Nichols Stovall is said to be up north with her brother, Austin.  On one hand, this whole twitter conversation could not be more PowerPoint driven spoonfeeding.  Especially, when you couple the information with this "reinforcement" tweet from the beard, Chloe Bennet as to why she isn't with Austin:

We at Narnia are grateful for this tweet of Chloe's.  I don't know if the whole scenario conclusion could have been reached without the assistance.

But the other hand still beckons, so for fun, let's go back to the sibling pairing in Michigan.  Here's what we know:

Hubby Jake is....

And just out of curiosity, what about sister Maggie?

Looks like Maggie will soon be heading to the Berlinale Film Festival to serve on the jury.  Berlinale this year opens on February 9 and runs through the 18th, so that will be coming up soon.

So Jake has been, and will be, mostly stationed in NYC during the play's run, and perhaps Maggie is still there as well.  Which leaves Austin on kid duty.  Could that be why the cavalry may have arrived in the form of another sibling, this time Austin's?  Because looking at Austin in that tweet pic up above, he be looking like he's had a few of these days....

Just speculating....we have not reached The End of this story yet.

In the first photo Austin appears to be in a daze. But, in the second one he seems to be plotting that "If I take this pic, Jake will think I'm still here." LOLLLLL!

lol. Yeah, I liken the first photo of Austin to his adjusting to his 30 min - 1 hr. of freedom. And the second pic is a little wide-eyed like he's plotting a possible Grand Escape.

Austin was running with scissors for a little while, wasn't he? ;-) And like he's kind of been doing lately, Austin is tweeting about events 12-24 hrs. later.

Credit to Austin for giving what I think is a shoutout to Jake through the tweet since Michael Shannon is in the movie Nocturnal Animals, and is the lone participant from the movie named for an Oscar nomination. We just don't see this anymore and so a thumbs up to the battling MI general. ;-)

I just want to add that I've seen this so many times. I saw it many times with my own brother and his wife, when they both were tied up with their jobs or his wife was going to be unavailable for a short period, my brother would call the cavalry in the form of Mom & Dad, and ask if they wanted to come down and spend some time with their grandkids. LOL

I'm kind of kidding around a little bit, but not that much. My mom and dad were both retired and more than enthusiastic about having the opportunity to help. Great memories there. :*)

And I have also seen it often times with co-workers over the years, as someone like myself who doesn't have kids. Distress signals are sent out all the time to Grandma and Grandpa, aunts, uncles, close neighbors. Austin may still need to be seen or have a short working gig, and these guys need that support system that they can trust.

I agree. Looks like Austin cleverly took the opportunity of the folklore holiday to do a shout out to Shannon's small role and debut performance in Groundhog Day. The fact that he waited until February 3 to point out only Michael Shannon, instead of the more recognizable Bill Murray, makes his tweet standout even more as a purposeful association with Jake.
