Let's Hash Tag This #FuzzyFriday in Honor of Mr. Gyllenhaal

This is the story of a young man who basked and wrapped himself in the soft and fuzzy until sandpaper khaki and sweat-wicking poly microfiber called.  And the soft and fuzzy faded away.  Or did it?

Narnia would like to take a snuggled up, downy soft look at Jake and his penchant for the fleece, lambswool, velvet, suede, and cashmere in life.  Do you have a clock's double nickel to spare gazing upon the following....

Even in hats...

You have to look closely at a few of those.  He's been sneaky, slipping in suede and fleece, thinking no one is looking!!  That's all right, we won't let on, right?  It'll be just between us here on Narnia.

Now, with all of the frowns, fist pumps, PR-sanctioned panda board shorts and office manager chinos that come with the Jake package nowadays, one might be afraid that the soft and velveteen has disappeared from this comfy shoe dad.

Alas!  But that is what Narnia is here for.  Over the past few years, even the past couple of weeks, there has been plenty of..

to find comfort in.  Take a look and spot the woolen.  He's a sly lad, this one, hoping the glaring and stalwart sternness will deter.

with a side dish of menacing and Vitalis...

now look closely...  aaaah, wait for it.... there it is, see that??

Ayyyyye, we see you, buddy.  ;-)  Trying to lose the lambswool in the crowd, but there's just no way....that collar of cush is wide enough to land an aircraft carrier on and we love it.

The above pic was taken outside the Hudson theater in the past week.   And this one:  if your jacket lost its fur collar, then grab the cashmere scarf off of the hall tree...

Gotta love it.  Maybe there isn't taking any of the Pooh and Christopher Robin out of this man.  I mean, if George Costanza can desire to drape himself in velvet, then why can't Jake stealthily and perpetually nuzzle himself against cashmere and fleece?

So, on this #FuzzyFriday, we see and we love.  We remember the past and appreciate this particular nuance of Jake that I don't know about you, but I adore and love to see still peek through.

Happy freefallin' #FuzzyFriday to all.

That was a dream come true, doing that post. I have been watching the soft and the fuzzy with Jake since first "discovering" him 8, almost 9 years ago on OMG. And I know I saw pics of him wearing the army green jacket with the orange fuzzy collar in the past 7 days or so, but I couldn't find them to save my life.

That was fun. Fun, fun stuff. Love this part about Jake, always have.

Huge congratulations to the snuggled up one on his successful opening night last night at the Hudson Theater with Sunday in the Park with George. Not that the reviews weren't outstanding back when he opened it at the NYC Celebration thing awhile back. But this one is more serious, I guess.

Sounds like Sister Wendy would love it. The painting itself is so beautiful. Lucky folks who get to go see Jake in this performance.
