No doubt, it is the "teammate" end of two very popular, enduring sports cornerstones: Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas. They played together through the minor leagues and it wasn't long before they were playing together for the parent team, the Kansas City Royals. But it looks like this duo has been parted on the field as today, the first baseman Hosmer officially became a member of the National League's San Diego Padres. Third baseman Mike "Moose" Moustakas is still a free agent without a team.
If you're a regular reader of Narnia Dispatches, you have seen these two mentioned several times as one of our OTP's. This will be quite interesting to watch where Moose lands and with the unlikelihood of Moose joining San Diego, this author has begun to wonder if the two men are being purposely separated. It's hard to say at this point.
We wish Eric Hosmer success with his new team and the Royals will not be the same without him. Here's a look at he and Moose during their tenure with the Royals. Please pass the Puffs.
And at their last game played together:

I'm heartbroken tonight as I look at these pictures. :*(
Some of us think the entertainment industry is tough on OTP's.
Try professional sports. That's a whole other ballgame.
I’m surprised at the number of hits on this post as I didn’t even mention their names anywhere except within the text. I just was so disheartened after the finality of Hos’ leaving.
But you know what, you move on and we have YET to see where Moose ends up. We at Narnia will be watching this closely, too because there are many question marks surrounding this move plus several noticeable things with Hos’ social media that are concerning because we’re used to seeing hinky with our other OTP’s or OTP halves.
I have further thoughts on this but will save for a bit later. Thank you folks, for checking out this post. These two are very special and boy, we will miss them.
