Remember, this Jimmy Fallon appearance was just a few days before Blake and Stefani, aka "Shefani", were "outed" by "leaked" potato cam photos from Adam's Halloween party and subsequent announcement by their people that yes, they were dating!  But look at that belying evidence of the narrative.  😂 

She had to look over at Adam (who had excitedly already taken a front row seat), and take a cue that she needed to show some enthusiasm.  This would be - an epic fail.
