Sometimes, the dots are so few, they seem too simple, too easy to be true. An Instagram account posted two pictures and after the location was discovered, the conclusion was clear and simple.
The J2 fandom have themselves another Date Night. The proof wasn't as cut and dried, not as Captain Obvious as past Date Nights when the guys took a photo together. This time, fans had to pay attention and connect the dots.
Courtesy of this sharing Twitter account, this is as Dick and Jane, cut and dried as a fan could receive. It really can be this easy sometimes.
How obvious is it that these guys have to have a chaperone if they're to be seen together now? This is how they had to do it - separate pictures and Jared put on her glasses for his picture. Bingo.
If you go to this @livlikar Instagram account, her account is private - a huge red flag. Her Instagram only has 179 posts. From comments that I could see, many had no idea who she was and where did she come from? Her avatar is provocative:
These two guys (along with other celebrities and pr teams) have been in the business for quite awhile now. They are both schooled on how social media works, how to use dialogue on convention stages, in written and television interviews, plus how to use dogs, furniture, colors (Louis & Harry, I'm looking right at you), hats, clothing, jewelry, carpet, lamps, restaurants, and now glasses to send out puzzle clues and secret shout outs. It's not a coincidence. It's not organic. It's one of those arranged "oops" that's not really an oops. And with the rarity of J2 moments anymore, it comes on the heels of heavy dosages of bearding and lying. An unexpected gift. Narnia salutes Jared and Jensen for still having that desire to acknowledge the other in public, in this fashion. For saying Enough! and having themselves a Don't Care moment. Yes, it will be back to regularly scheduled programming, but for this moment, see it and enjoy it.

Free Solo. A film about the first free climb of El Capitan in Yosemite Park. Physical challenge. Courage. The outdoors. Has Austin written all over it.
And then less than 24 hours later the morning of Oct 21, someone else was bursting to share.
Same movie. Same gushing. Same inspired expressions.
Austin: "will inspire you to achieve your dreams" Jake: "is about...dreaming big"
Austin: "conquer your fears" Jake: "facing your fears"
Again - less than 24 hours apart. Planets aligned.
A rarity indeed. Thank you, Jake and Austin. We'll take it! :-)

Even though Jake and Austin had met at The Day After Tomorrow auditions in May 2002, this appearance on November 13, 2005 was greatly significant because it was the first time they had publicly and purposely stepped out together. The event was the closing night of the AFI Festival in Los Angeles at the ArcLight Theater for Casanova, and even though Jake and Austin were conspicuously not photographed or filmed together for The Day After Tomorrow promotion in May 2004, this paired outing, over one year later, revealed that these two young men's special "bond" was still going strong.
Looks like a casual Sunday date night, doesn't it?
My goodness, it was the #DateNight photo which rocked the fandom. This single Instagram post...
#DateNight
set off the confetti, parades....
There was outrage, protests, controversy, wailing and gnashing of teeth, more triumphant chest thumping, snarling, fretting and worry, counter arguments, round tables, and Mutley snickering. I think there have probably been earthquakes with lower ratings on the Richter scale.
The beauty of the picture (in many of our eyes anyway *wink) was Jared's hashtag of #DateNight, despite the presence of Leo Resig, the gentleman in between Jared and Jensen. [Leo packs a pretty influential wallop behind him as CEO & co-founder of Resignation Media, owning a handful of websites, of which one is The Chive, an entertainment site geared towards the male population.]
"Hat" fans slipped into slumber with smiles on their faces, only to awaken the next morning (bar those who are in different time zones) and discover that elves had been at work.
Enter the countering Take that! - #DateNight pic:
Aaah, a bit of a twist to the picture now. The confetti took a pause as fans took a second look at this prairie dog pic, i.e. popping up out of nowhere. The hashtags which counted off Jared, Jensen, Genevieve and Tiffany's husband Leo seemed to be trying to insinuate that Tiffany and Danneel went rogue and left the #DateNight group. The timing of the picture was somewhere around midnight, enough hours after the posting of the Original Photo to flag wave 'reaction' and 'clean-up'. The elves had been scrambling....
Seems the elves were the ones who had huffed and puffed the most, doesn't it? Tiffany going to all the effort of hash tagging all of the invitees when Jared's Original Instagram had not. Even Leo Resig did not issue any other invites other than Jensen and Jared:
Oh, the ensuing debates and discussion. Does anyone else remember a past J2 #datenight which brought on this kind of reactionary drama? One might be hard pressed to recall as such, wouldn't they?
For those who argued for or wanted the beards, I mean the wives' presence, I'm sorry but they are physically absent from the Original Instagram. They weren't tagged, were not mentioned. That would have been the money shot - all of the parties involved in the Original Instagram. This cannot be emphasized enough: the label and/or mentioning attached to, i.e. accompanying the actual photo. You know, kind of like this one.... remember this picture?
"Time for family". Who is missing from this picture?
"Date Night". Who is missing from that picture?
It would be worthy to note that the "PadaPink Family" photo came on the heels of the whole Genevieve-PopandSuki social media tidal wave period. There had also been beard-bonding...

and excessive, excessive (did I mention excessive?) usage of the children by the beards, particularly Genevieve. And the #DateNight picture came on the heels of what? This sideshow on May 26:
You can't see them, but the young boys Shep and Thomas are standing directly below Jared and Genevieve. A grandstand showing which headlined in Google searches as "advocating" for a law which had already passed both the Senate and House, and was merely awaiting the formality of the Texas governor's signature.
Both of these pictures posted by Jared came on the heels of distasteful time periods/events, and would seem to be strong Exhibit A's for what is also known in the closeted world as acting out. Acting out can occur when a closeted celebrity has had to go through a rigorous stunt or time period of heavy bearding. They've reached their brink; had enough. And they act out, leaving management with their hands full and in search of the mop and bucket.
One can now see why Jared has gone through several years of having his persona go through repeated washing/spin cycles. These two posted pictures reveal that strong spirit which still resides inside of him; a sharp contrast to mgmnt's game plan of devitalizing and muzzling, one which has been quite publicly successful. Louis Tomlinson would be another prime example of this same public relations victimization, er - strategy. To Jared, Narnia tips the cap and raises the glass. We see what you did. We, like so, so many fans share in your enthusiasm for those you hold close to your heart. The message received loud and clear.
