Am I right or am I right?  😍😍😍   I'm sorry, but that is just pretty darn cute.  The man is 41 going on 42 and will probably be a grandpa in under ten years (anyone willing to place bets???), for crying out loud.

• And time for what seems to be becoming a pre-training camp ritual, the "rumored ending" of the Travis Kelce / Kayla Nicole off-and-on, off-and-on whatever-it-is-they're-doing.  Please pardon Narnia for our 👀👀 but this seems to be a "convenient excuse" for Travis to garner some breathing space from Nicole during the off season and training camp.  Then as the season starts and the national cameras/TMZ begin to hyper-focus on stunt het stories, Nicole re-appears and "all is well" again.

So, pardon Narnia's skepticism.  😏

• More than six years into the 1D Hiatus from Hell™, each one of the men have evolved in many laudable ways.  Perhaps it is because Harry is the youngest member of the group, but never has it been more apparent how much his overall presence has matured than when looking at a gif like this one from a recent interview with Zane Lowe. To quote, "Treat People with Kindness," Harry most definitely looks like he is "feeling good in my skin," doesn't he?

• And speaking of 1D, look who was sighted today and had a nice, positive write-up on the Daily Fail!  (The Daily Fail is our friend today, yes, yes, believe it or not!)

Mr. Liam James Payne!  He was watching his horse named Titanium Z compete at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.  Here he is with the show jumper, Joe Stockdale.  Great to see Liam doing something fun and pertaining to him, not for the benefit of handler/manager Steve Finan O'Connor.  We also love the name of Liam's horse, Titanium Z.  Hmmm, Z for the mark of Zorro?   Or more like, Z for Zayn???  😍💕

What smiles!  What nostalgia!   Let's hope that this wasn't a part of their Sushi Lunch™, I mean goodbye tour.  😭  Will be a story to watch in the off-season.  

 

 

• In sports social media, fans would call this an Old Friend Alert - 

Actress Michelle Williams is allegedly with child again, with "husband" Thomas Kail, collaborating best bud of Lin Manuel Miranda. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hinkiness seems to have followed Michelle around ever since the days of "courtship" with former "beau", Jason Segal, dating back to 2012-13.  Supposedly, in 2020, she and Kail purchased a brownstone in NYC (sounds like another  "couple" we know, Maggie and Peter?).   This happened while they were still engaged.  During the pandemic, out of sight, her life took on several changes - an alleged wedding/ceremony of some sort and the birth of a baby boy.  

But with these life events of Williams', simple details have lacked disclosure and have been shrouded by vague wording.  The stories are sprinkled with "a source said", "reportedly", "rumored", "secretly", "private", "not yet divulged", etc. etc.  👀  Look at this excerpt from the Sun on Williams and Kail's alleged marriage:

"A source tells The Sun that there was a ceremony of sorts between the couple, who are both newly divorced, but they were uncertain if it was an official wedding." - The Sun, "Pregnant Michelle Williams Marries Hamilton Director Tommy Kail After Couple Purchases $10.8M Townhouse", March 23, 2020.

😄 smh.  When it came time after Baby No. 2 was born, the gender wasn't even revealed.  Poor Baby Kail was just "baby".  Later, it was revealed, the child was a boy. 

And this latest story about actor Jeremy Strong moving in with Michelle after Heath died to help raise Matilda?  Anyone else remember reading of this story before?  Yeah, we don't either.  😉

 

 

I thought Jake helped raise Matilda?  😉  And he was the godfather, along with Williams' best girlfriend Busy Phillips being the godmother.

When Ledger passed away, Gyllenhaal stepped in to help Williams care for Matilda, who was only three years old at the time. - "The Truth About Jake Gyllenhaal's Friendship With Heath Ledger", The List, August 11, 2021.

 

When Heath tragically passed away in 2008, Jake stepped in to help Michelle care for Matilda, who was just 3 years old at the time.  - "The 1 Special Connection Jake Gyllenhaal Still Shares With Heath Ledger", Pop Sugar, January 23, 2018.

Since Heath's death, Matilda Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal have developed a close bond after he stepped up to help Williams care for Matilda. - "Matilda Ledger is 15 Now - What is Known About Heath Ledger's Only Daughter", Amomama, December 03, 2020.

 

 

Wow, Jake helping to raise Matilda (even though we never, ever saw Jake with her - but is it possible that's the sign that he is more involved in the life of Matilda than what is let on?).  

Now we're told it's Jeremy Strong and that he even moved in to help, along with Michelle's sister and "her friend"!  

 

The “Succession” actor, Williams said, moved into her home following the tragedy to accompany her, her friend and her sister. Strong would play games and went as far as acting as a “pony” for Ledger’s daughter, Matilda, Variety reported. - Huffington Post, May 13, 2022

Perhaps it was a tag teaming of sorts.  😵

Odd, isn't it?  Why is this story coming out now when it was never mentioned before about Strong having helped to raise Matilda after Heath had passed away?  But story after story emphasized how Jake was the godfather?

Is this back-story?  Now Michelle Williams has a new home, expanded, growing family and new public life in New York City.  That's a pretty convenient location for anyone who may frequent the UK, isn't it?  In the past several years, both Williams and Kail have had work projects taking place in London (as has Lin Manuel Miranda as well!).  I imagine it comes in very handy for Jake and Austin.  The alleged east coast dwelling of Maggie also convenient if she were to quietly hop across the pond for a spell.  

Did you know that Busy Phillips has also moved to New York?  

There was an initial temporary move in the late summer/fall of 2020 which would later become permanent by January 2021.  Here came the "official" proclamation that she and "husband" Marc Silverstein had sold their southern Cali digs and moved to the Hudson Valley.  

Imagine that!  Jake's good friend Busy is now close to and in New York City!  And so is his longtime former co-star and close friend, Michelle and god-daughter Matilda!  

Why, that means the gang's all there!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Or they're "all there", but...more often in the UK, where there is a lot of countryside and ability to live in more obscurity.  Perhaps in an ever-expanding in "all kinds of ways" Gyllynicholsgaard cul-de-sac obscurity...   And perhaps Austin's relatives' furniture company has been commissioned to make a big-ass farmers table to hold all of these folks at holiday time?   Hey, we're just contemplating here...

Jake Gyllenhaal: A Passover Tale of 2012 and A Sign of What Was to Come

 And in the category of,

 

Narnia would like to take a trip back to 2012 and speculate about a tweet and twit pic that we've held onto for a number of years.  The fact that the tweet and the account both disappeared at some point, leads us to surmise whether this was one of those "Why did I tweet that?" moments.  Orrrr, was it perhaps something else entirely?  Let's take a closer look.

As some might remember, 2012 was a pivotal year in Jake Gyllenhaal's transformation from a West Coaster to, at least publicly, becoming a resident of the Big Apple. Supposedly, he lived in a NYC apartment in some trendy neighborhood, yet the tweet, as well as the photo, markedly conflicted with the bachelor narrative being sold,

 

 

Or, was the poster jokingly hinting at something else?

If recollection serves correctly, the tweet was not up long and included a twit pic of a large two-story home:

During this time in 2012, there were reasons to believe Jake and Austin had a place on Long Island, NY.  Certainly this type and size of house with a large yard looked like a strong possibility and so a few of us speculated at the time that perhaps the tweet was for real and could have been Jake's house on Long Island.

Now, if one were to go back and look at comment threads on two popular Jake G blogs called Waiting for Toothy 2 (WFT2)  and Gyllenbabble back around the date of April 8, 2012, there were indeed several postings about this tweet.  Followed, of course, by a quick dismissal on WFT2 and also a comment about the tweeter (David_Austin_G) being a "jokester" who was known to fake tweet about celebrities.  In other words, as is so typical when following closeted celebrities there always seems to be someone at the ready with a plausible excuse for a curious occurrence.

Still, just to make things a tad bit more interesting, documentary filmmaker and longtime Jake Gyllenhaal friend, David Modigliani, (co-founder of Flow Studios), also had a professional twitter account that tweeted that same year (2012) in December.  

Hmm. Sounds quite similar in style and phrasing to that Seder tweet just months before, doesn't it?  So could that have been David tweeting from both of those accounts?  And, it is interesting that not only did the Passover tweet disappear, but the @David_Austin_G account no longer exists either.  Maybe the name "David" was based on David Modigliani's first name.  And, "Austin" perhaps was for Austin, TX (where Flow Studios is based)? Who knows? Wouldn't be the first time an embolden friend of Jake's posted something on social media in a winky wink sort of way that subsequently was deleted because the post/pic hit a bit too close to home.

Even if this speculation leads nowhere productive,  there is NONEtheless, a solid reason to still question the Seder tweet. "Why," you might ask?  Well, because of the timeline surrounding the tweet.

• March 26, 2012 - Jake is photo'd in a set called "lunch at Urth Caffe" in Los Angeles, with who?  Who is that in the blue puffy jacket?  It's David Macaroni "Modigliani".

 

 

 

 

How about that?  Jake was hanging with his good friend, David M., right around the time of Passover in 2012.

 

Now, veering off the timeline path for just a moment, here's a nice nugg-ito!!  Look at what Jake was driving for this outing --> Austin's truck!!

I know, I know.   😉   *speculation moment*  

[So was Austin along with the hubs and David for lunch in Los Angeles, but just not included in the photos????  Did Jake have to take over the wheel so Austin wasn't seen getting into the back of the double cab truck?  Or was this another time when Jake was trusted with the keys to the pick up?  LOL!  Seriously, just kind of wondering why Jake was driving Austin's truck?  Perhaps there was a mulch pick-up to be made on the way home.  Or a Sam's Club stop for cases of peanut butter and pull-ups?  😉]  

Alright, enough.  Now, back to the timeline.

• April 5 - Jake is photo'd with Big Sis Maggie in NYC

• April 6 - Jake is placed at the NYC subway. With his customary NYC ballcap to let us know that he was becoming an official NYC-ite.

 

•  Also on April 6, to lend credence to the subway sighting, Jake was spotted having lunch with pal and fellow WME client John Krazinski (he signed with WME in 2011) and Emily Blunt.

• Soul Cycle.  Spottings on the street.  There was a Page Six story about Jake showing up for a party and making an early exit.  Another lunch sighting at a place called Minerva.

• and then, the crowning placement.  The infamous Passover/Easter stroll by the Gyllenhaal/Peter Sarsgaard fam, looking all kinds of hinky complete with Jake walking backwards?  The bump also looking a bit off-kilter?  There's a reason there is a hand, a purse, and other paraphernalia all positioned in front of Maggie's stomach.

The hinkiness was off the charts, including this picture, yet again with Jake from behind:

 

 

• In contrast, Jake was spotted via Facebook at the Fog City Diner in San Francisco also on April 8 and then, on April 9, he's where? In Toronto, Ontario where he's going to be filming Enemy in May.  Looks like that could be ol' Denis in the denim shirt?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And by Apr 11, Jake seemed to be firmly entrenched and frequently spotted in Toronto.

 

 

 

 

 

Now, it's only about a 1 1/2 hr commercial flight from NYC to Toronto.  But look at this retweet made on Thursday, April 5, of a message with lots of capping and telling everyone that Jake was going to be at her job in Canada that following Monday, April 9.  

 

 

So, we all were given the heads up and look how that played out.  There was Jake, "officially" out and about in Toronto at a business meal on?  April 9.  😄  Played out to perfection, that is sooooo Jake.

Now, looking back at the Seder tweet by David Macaroni "Modigliani" and how quickly everyone dismissed it on both WFT2 and Gyllybabble, there is an interesting comment once we went back through the time machine for this post. From Gyllybabble:

 

 "He suggests he's in LA".  

 

Oh?

 

And there lies the huge red flag.  Now, M&M's take on the Macaroni tweet and the picture used is that yes, he is joking.  In other words, the house is deserted, there's no one around because, why?  

"Jake Gyllenhaal's house before last nights Seder meal..."

And so it wasn't necessarily Jake's house per se, but just a large house (did he pick a huge-ass house on purpose because of Jake's growing fam??? lol) which was deserted and quiet looking, before a sizeable crowd arrived for the Seder meal?

And if, as blogger "Bobbyanna" stated that the account made it sound as though they were in L.A. and this was Macaroni...who was in Los Angeles on March 26 with Jake as seen in the Urth lunch photos from I Heart Jake, could the longtime friend have stayed in town and yes, came to Jake's house for the Seder on April 8.

The tweet disappears because why?  Was it because Jake was not supposed to be in Los Angeles; he was supposed to be in New York City?  This was a mini calamity which happened time after time over the several years that Jake was supposed to be a transplanted New Yorker.  We caught sightings of him repeatedly in Los Angeles when he wasn't supposed to be there, sightings which would be followed by PR's damage control.

We'll never know for sure, will we?  Interestingly enough, in September later that same year of 2012, a story appeared for USA Today, one which ticked many of Jake's narrative boxes. 

And if that's not enough to win you over, Gyllenhaal also is adept behind the stove and is a foodie, in the non-annoying sense. John Lesher, who produced End of Watch and became close friends with Gyllenhaal, says the actor "always knows where to get the best food and the best cup of coffee. He cooks -- I went to Seder dinner at his mom's place and he made all the food, which was spectacular. He made brisket and all kinds of stuff. He's very in touch with his Jewish side. He's always questioning everything. He's not neurotic. If he's going to do something, he's going to do it well." - USA Today September 2012

 

Hmmm.  In 2012?  If Jake lived in NYC, it's kind of curious why the meal wouldn't have been at his place, isn't it?  

Nonetheless, it is a wonderful sign of Jake observing his Jewish heritage from his mother's side, one which became more prominent when he participated in one of the 23 episodes of Shalom Sesame, a series which was focused on educating about Jewish culture and the daily lives of Israeli children.  

In 2011, Jake appeared in this cute segment on hiding his piece of afikomen for Passover.  To understand the tradition of hiding the afikomen at the Seder meal, there is an explanation in this article, Why Do We Hide the Afikomen?  Here's Jake in 2011.

Well done, Jake!!  And isn't that interesting that Jake began to do pieces like this, along with another segment he did with a muppet octopus, and doing a Disney movie, and reading children's books...

 

Almost as though he had his own family.

Ace Comic Con 2019: Fast Times in Rosemont IL with Jake Gyllenhaal - Pt. I

Author's Note:  Warning for explicit language used in posted social media.  My apologies! But I have to post them in their original form.

Good morning/day/evening!  Who threw that helmet for Mr. Jones to autograph?  lol.  PG has a day off of work today, so y'all get this post.  ;-)  Let's get this started.

So, Ace Comic Con started on Friday, Oct 11 and Mr. Jakers made his appearance the next morning, all bright eyed and bushy-tailed.  Well, let's say that he did after kind of a slow and sluggish start as he was looking a bit curmudgeonly in many of the first released photos.  Curiously, this twitter fan seemed to point out Jake's non-creative expression:

But no, no, as one would expect, Jake takes to theater and one could say that posing for photo ops is sort of like theater, involving cosplay and creative posing.  He "came around" and loosened up as time went on, posing with fans' signs/props and interacting.  Some were long-time fans and there were numerous glowing remarks about their conversations with Jake, which is great to read.

Oodles and oodles of photos, enough to fill a photo album. I mean, countless.  In fact, several days passed before the final trickle ceased. 

lol, Jake's been physically closer to this fan below, than he has been so far with Jeanne Cadieu.  LOL!

Did this fan below know of Jake's love for ice cream and frozen yogurt?  I think that sundae must've been real - it sure brightened up those blue eyes, didn't it?  ;-)  Aww, very nice!!

Seems this fan is playing off of the social media meme of Jake treating his vintage wired earbuds like a string of licorice.  I like their pose, too.

Goodness, if you were a Jake fan or a Holland fan, there was a photo op pic out there for you!  :-)  Those weren't even a drop in the bucket.

Meanwhile, back home, the head of the household, Austin, was tabulating all of those credit transactions from autographs and photo ops....

Health insurance premiums, Costco-sized boxes of kale chips, gallon jars of peanut butter, pallets of Wet Wipes, 12 (+ 1 pr free!) packs of Buster Brown socks, 170 oz. jugs of Dreft, birthday and Christmas presents, and piano lessons for all the Baby Tiles!!  That makes both Daddy and Papa GyllyNichols very happy. 


There were others at the Ace Comic Con; Chris Hemsworth (Thor) for one.

Austin's former co-star Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones' Kit Harrington and Elton John star, Taron Egerton.

Taron Egerton is adorable.  So animated and he really looked like he tried his best to give every fan a great photo.

Jake and Holland had a panel on Saturday, early evening.  Questions about heroes, future projects, what did Jake think about the Marvel fandom and what kind of project would Jake/Holland like to work on together were just a few that were posed to the actors.  Compared to pre-Far From Home promo, the panel itself was surprisingly bland and conservative, almost awkward at times.  This fun selfie with the monstrous-sized audience however, was a misleading cue to what would later follow.

Saturday sounds like it was a long day since their panel was supposed to start at 6:15 in the evening, but ran about an hour late.  Jake's schedule on Sunday started at 11 am, so not a whole lot of time to rest his feet.  Hopefully, Austin and his Big Sis-in-Law Maggie were able to handle the "curfew chaos" [aka bedtime] at home, so Jake could catch some winks!   After all, his last scheduled event for Sunday was to be at 4pm for an autograph session.  And it was a good thing, too because there were a few folks who thought that Jake was "looking tired".  

"Very tired" "I understand you're tired. Your face showed it." Perplexing, to be sure.  Four-five o'clock would no doubt come soon enough.  Not quite so fast, though.  At three o'clock on Sunday afternoon, there was some possible drama:

On and on and on.  As this particular author had seen the first tweet and the following rapid-fire tweets and suspected misleading information, I used my social media to make some observations:

And then it was revealed that the "rumor" had been "a joke".

And the tweet train pulled a railroad switch and proceeded to spread the word that it was a JOKE.

The airwaves then grew quiet and but for a solo alleged O'Hare airport sighting,

And Austin, who had been silent all prior week and AceCon weekend, suddenly was back on social media.

And now that Papa was home, Austin had some time to catch up on a bit of "me" time:

But did this mean that it was time for Jakers to enjoy a bit of laying low time?  Well, not if you used his social media activity as a barometer of family time.  

Convenient photos of Jake with the beard Jeanne Cadieu appeared on the 16th with the fan Instagrammers making sure everyone knew the pictures were from Wednesday, the 16th and placing him in The Big Apple:

With cup and lid in hand, the two took a brief walk that probably covered half of a street block and took less than 3 minutes to do.  

And just think - the most entertaining content was yet to come.
