The Dismantling of a Kansas City Chiefs Dynasty: Jenga Gone Light Speed

"I will not whine or complain during the process. I won’t be a distraction, on or off the field."

Patrick Mahomes - NFL Draft Letter April 2017

That sentence comes within the text of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' NFL draft letter as a graduate of Texas Tech, letting the NFL teams know that he could be trusted to be well-behaved.  That he wasn't going to make the news for the wrong reasons.  That he would do what was required.  What was expected.

To look back at his NFL draft letter is to see how much he meant what he said and how he continues to love playing the game of football.  His draft letter is a highly recommended read.  There is nothing in some of the quotes from his letter that don't continue to resonate today, which makes his performance in the last Super Bowl, number LIX, stand out all the more, in the worst, most unbelievable way.

Though Patrick was a rookie in the Chiefs organization in 2017, he didn't become their starting QB until the next season, 2018-19.  And in that first season, he took the league by storm and led the Chiefs all the way to the American Football League Championship game against the New England Patriots and their QB, Tom Brady.  Patrick and the Chiefs lost to the Patriots, but otherwise, he hasn't looked back since, chasing Tom's records at a startling pace all along the way.

Fans on Twitter/X have dissected statistics ad nauseam between the two men, comparing and sparring, trying to elevate their favorite as king of the hill.  Tom Brady has 7 Super Bowl rings, Patrick has 3.  Patrick turned 30 this season.  He was closing in on Tom in several categories.

Then, there are their favorite, top receivers.  Brady had Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski, who is also now retired.  Patrick has Travis Kelce, now age 36.   Again, fans have compared Gronkowski and Travis for a number of years, especially since Travis began breaking NFL records and coming closer and closer to some of Gronk's.

It is vital and crucial to New England fans that their fave duo, Brady and Gronkowski remain king of the mountain.  The best of all time.  The "goats", as it were.

As the 2024-25 season progressed with the Chiefs ending the season at 15-2 (with the last loss coming vs. the Denver Broncos while resting most of the starters, including Patrick and Travis), the discussion of a Chiefs "dynasty" grew at a fever pitch.

Including the idea and possible realization of a three-peat, the winning of three (3) Super Bowls in a row; oh, the chances were oh-so-real.  No NFL team had ever won the Super Bowl three times in a row since the NFL merged with the old AFL.  Prior to that merger, the Green Bay Packers had done it.

Patrick was suddenly getting closer and closer to approaching the possibility of a three-peat.  He would also take one step closer to catching Brady's seven rings and build on his own legacy as possibly the best quarterback ever.

Should we also mention how Chiefs coach Andy Reid was himself climbing the record books?  Look at where he's sitting.

 For regular season wins:

And for post season?  Look at that - oh, he's been climbing.

But as we all know, it didn't happen in the 2025 Super Bowl.  Just like in the thrown 2022 AFCG Game vs the Cincinnati Bengals, the Chiefs suddenly looked totally and unequivocally lost.

And if somehow the Chiefs had won and achieved this extremely rare feat of three (3) consecutive Super Bowl wins, no doubt there would have been gnashing of teeth and wailing with an intensity not seen before in the football world.

Who comprises the "football world"?  Well, it includes the other remaining NFL teams, along with their hundreds and thousands, likely millions of fans across the United States and overseas.  It also includes the media - beat writers, pod-casters, influencers, hosts on numerous shows such as NFL Network, ESPN, etc.

The state of being "tired of the Chiefs winning" even had a name - "Chiefs Fatigue".

Not to worry, though.  All are safe.  All can rest assured.

The three-peat would not happen.

The possibility crumbled to pieces in an unbelievably ghastly display on Sunday, February 9. In front of millions of viewers, on the biggest stage.

For allllllll to see.

Were you shocked by it all?

Narnia wasn't shocked.  We were greatly disappointed, but can't say there weren't signs that the outcome could be a loss.

And now, in this 2025-26 season, proceedings seem to be setting up a continuation of this dismantling of the dynasty so many never wanted.  The Chiefs lost to the Houston Texans on Sunday, Dec. 7, just about killing all hope for another post-season drive.  The free fall continued and now with the regular season ended?  The Chiefs are sitting at home.

But so many intriguing occurrences have already happened to set the Chiefs up for a tremendously surprising fall from the top.

• Coach Andy Reid and his normally quite capable staff of coaches have suddenly all gone belly up with ineffective and unimaginative play calling.

• Rookie offensive lineman Josh Simmons, who had greatly impressed in training camp and was looking like a dream-come-true left tackle, suddenly had a "personal issue" and missed four (4) games due to said mysterious "personal issue".

• Two years in a row, top-level wide receivers have gone down.

• Kicker Harrison Butker got off to a very rough start, missing a number of PAT's and short field goals, before eventually turning it around later in the season.

• Running back Isiah Pacheco's suspect "knee injury".  I say "suspect" because I was watching the game where his knee did collide with another player, but after spending some time on the sideline, he hopped down from the table and seemed to move around with no visible issue.  Isiah missed three (3) critical games that affected the team's running game and placed a heavy load on Kareem Hunt.

•  The weird winning touchdown run by Trevor Lawrence in the Chiefs vs. Jaguars game in October where it appeared that Chris Jones' feet were rooted in cement.

• How about the way Travis Kelce has really perfected the ability to bat the ball up into the air, thus greatly improving the odds of the 🏈 being intercepted?  This happened several times in the 2025 season, but this was when it happened vs. the Houston Texans earlier in December.

👀👀  He had it.  In his hands.

It has been one thing after another.  Patrick lost his top wide receivers two years in a row.  In 2024, Xavier Worthy was knocked out right off the bat in Game 1, followed by Rashee Rice several games later, with an alleged knee injury that was "caused" by his own quarterback, Patrick.  Then in 2025, Rashee Rice missed the first six regular season games by serving his suspension due to a car crash that he had been a major part of.  Then, Xavier was lost for a couple of games after colliding with Travis Kelce.  What are the odds?

Patrick was "at fault" the first time, "taking out" his own wide receiver Rashee!  Then this past season, lo and behold, now it's Travis who "takes out" Xavier.  Both times, twitter/X goes on a spree with accounts blaming the two men for hurting the team with their actions.

Of all teammates - Patrick.  And then Travis.  Imagine that.  😒

On to next critical position:  Offensive linemen.  Offensive linemen were pulled from active duty like plucked daisies until eventually Patrick was left scrambling repeatedly, trying to evade defensive tackles.

Eventually, it all caught up with him on Sunday, Dec. 14, vs. the L.A. Chargers when Patrick was tackled and his knee suffered dual ligament damage, requiring season-ending surgery.

Narnia will watch how the injury / "injury" is handled since last season's suspect Travis "ankle injury", Josh Simmons' "personal issue",  Mecole Hardman's out-of-the-blue, alleged knee injury suffered during practice prior to a Chargers game, amongst other suspect ones, do not instill the greatest of confidence in fans being dealt the truth.

How does one of the most efficiently run, talented organizations suffer such a collapse?  Such a fall?  The amount of head scratching and voices of bewilderment amongst the local media was deafening this season.  Many didn't understand what they were witnessing week after week.  They searched for answers.  A different player, coach, or administrative leader was  blamed after every game.

Narnia believes it is unfortunate that the situation can't be looked at differently, i.e. how we've grown familiar with tactics of sabotage and manipulation when closeted entertainers/athletes are involved.

We have recollections.

• of Steve Finan O'Connor frequently overheard in the background, serving as a watchdog while Liam Payne conducted his live stream videos for fans

• of an open stage trap door exposed while Harry Styles was performing during his Love on Tour on January 27, 2023, narrowly avoiding very serious injury

• of a revolving door incident at the Feb 5, 2023 Grammy Awards, which were under the executive production of Ben Winston (imagine that).  The major technical glitch occurred when the turntable rotating stage unexpectedly spun in reverse, which forced Harry and his dancers to quickly improvise.

• of Jared Padalecki being "stricken" with a "broken shoulder/broken arm" the Saturday morning of JibCon in 2014, thus being conveniently moved out of the way, I mean made unavailable so that the meard Misha Collins could be more prominently featured on-stage as well as off-stage with Jensen Ackles.

The sling didn't last long during JibCon 2014

• of hockey player Patrick Kane being dealt a "rape accusation"

• of hockey player Jonathan Toews being dealt an "autoimmune" disease so that he could be sidelined (nursery duties??) from the game.

• of Peter Sarsgaard being shoehorned into a number of recent projects of Jake's to prove they have had no rift between them, dating all the way back to 2012 and a blind item.  Likely also to prove the brother-in-law is still in a happy marriage.  😉

 • need we mention Jussie Smollett's set-up?  Armie Hammer's?  Johnny Depp's?  Michael Jackson's sabotage?

The "need" for TPTB (i.e. record companies, talent agencies, film studios, sports team owners and/or their league administrators) to control their players/artists in an entertainment industry rife with bigotry and homophobia is beyond the general public's awareness and comprehension.

- If you are unfamiliar with the closet and how it has worked in these two industries.

- If you are one who loves the magazine tabloids like People, US Weekly, National Enquirer, or online sites (which are actually more popular now) like Deaux Moi, Enty Lawyer, TMZ, Page Six, the Daily Mail, Data Lounge, Reddit, etc.  and believe that they are beacons of truth.

Then, you are also likely going to miss how:

• the profits from gambling benefit the big sports leagues

• the increased thirst for "ramped up algorithms" in social media by creating/manufacturing the latest sensation or "viral moment"

• the endorsement money from advertisers

and

• the financial returns from streaming rights

can all contribute to playing a factor in some of the questionable decision-making by those in charge of 1) what airs on the screen or 2) is put on the fields of competition.  The next question is why? What's the purpose other than being motivated by financial gains?

What do our recollections of sabotage and ill-treatment of many of our favorite subjects have to do with the Chiefs and their 2025 season?

As we wrap this segment up, let's briefly circle back around to our recollections of sabotage and the obvious shared common thread of who the incidents involve, mostly members of the LGBTQ community.

It's also to know that the number of queer population in the entertainment industry is likely even more than Ted Casablanca used to say exists, which is roughly 50%.  Narnia believes it has to be higher than that today.

The minute Shifty (Taylor Swift) entered the picture with tight end Travis Kelce, it was a huge red flag that the closet was involved.  Her history speaks for itself.

Never forget the article about her being a professional beard that was snuffed out online back in 2014.  It's taken years of high-profile "dating" to snuff out the loudness of the below image.

This is just a screenshot from International Business Times Australia via Sugarscape, from the article dated 02 12 14:

We have witnessed how TPTB will go to extreme lengths to misrepresent the sexuality images of their clients, whatever they deem "necessary" to portray them as heterosexual, whether that means someone they're "dating", marrying and/or having a baby with.  Teams will stoop so low as to have false sexual assault/harassment charges, cheating scandals, or false sexual addictions (Armie Hammer); however they can ensure a straight image for the client.

Beginning with his 2018-19 season, Patrick Mahomes has had a plenitude of off-field distractions caused by his brother, his mother and beard, I mean "wife".  It has been one thing after another.  Then, TPTB figured that wasn't enough and began creating on-the-field antics like the Dec. 10, 2023 Buffalo Bills game where he play-acted to be "visibly upset" by the officiating and thus planted the seed for the "spoiled brat", "sore loser" label by NFL fans.

Cameras were sure to show all of the bellyaching.  This act was not credible; his past history showed it was not.  We were supposed to believe that Patrick had suddenly become a loose cannon?  smh

He was shown to be livid with teammates.  Has he corrected teammates before?  Of course.  Has he been visibly disappointed?  Sure.  Has he guided teammates away from possible-damaging behavior before an unsportsmanlike penalty was inflicted on the team?  Oh, you bet.  (See Tyreek Hill, lol.)

But not this kind of grand standing.  This is not the Patrick Mahomes that has been a Chief since 2017.

And examples of Travis' wild behavior the past several years requires an entirely new post; we don't have that kind of space.  This post has gone on long enough already.  But his image has regressed to being an abusive, ticking time bomb.

Interesting, isn't it?  Both Patrick and Travis suffering from plummeting regression at times.  Violent or disgruntled behavior.  Enough to distract from field performance.  A steady enough drip to drain away from popular, respected images.

Who would have had a problem with the on and off field chemistry of such a successful duo to want to sabotage it?

Were these moments bothering TPTB?

Who doesn't enjoy seeing these guys enjoy each other's company?   😉  Weren't those fun, warm and happy images?

But you know how TPTB are.  They're the no-fun bunch.  They love to smack the hands of these guys.

And we're not sure what to think of this clip from Tyreek Hill's podcast and what he had to say in a "joking around" moment, filled with telltale snickering and tittering.  This was something else, possibly making the league sweat a bit with the winking and cackling.

It Needed To Be Said podcast

And so here we are.  The Chiefs had a bit too much success and fun going on.   Success that was beginning to seriously threaten the previous success of a couple of favored players gone before.  And just like the league wasn't going to let Michael Sam or Carl Nassib even get to sniff success, Patrick AND Travis have had everything thrown at them (and their teammates) to slow down the success and the breaking of records which threatened the legacy of Tom Brady and therefore his WR Rob Gronkowski as well:

- phantom injuries

- car accidents

- "personal issues"

- a kicker's mysteriously lengthy slump

- some terrible officiating

- suddenly unimaginative play-calling

- repetitive penalties of neutral zone infractions/offsides by veteran Super Bowl-experienced players

- steroidal bearding activity

- the introduction of a meard for Travis, by the name of Ross Travis (a huge thank you to the Gaylors for even pointing out the existence of Ross Travis \sarc)

- birth of another stunt child for QB1

- political distractions by kicker Harrison Butker and members of the Hunt family

- and of course, probably the biggest and most noticeable of all ... the arrival of Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift, aka Shifty, has been a huge factor.  With her arrival in 2023, the Chiefs catapulted to being the "IT" team and a deciding factor in streaming negotiations for the next two NFL seasons.

And now the season is officially over for the Chiefs and the big question is, will Travis retire after this season or leave it open to return next year?   His post-game interview looked pretty somber and the eyes glistening.

Let's hope that he's able to make that decision for himself without being forced out.  This post-game interview video on Sunday, Jan 4, isn't exactly a promising start.

                                                                 via Sam McDowell twitter

Plus, there's that matter of the number 13, supposedly Shifty's favorite number.  (Her birthday is December 13. She turned the age of 13 on a Friday the 13th.  Her engagement was announced 13 days after a first-time appearance on Travis and Jason's New Heights podcast.)  Her wedding is supposed to be on what date?  June 13.  😑

Etcetera, etcetera, and so on, and so forth.

Well, guess what?  This is Travis Kelce's 13th season in football. Gee, wouldn't it be just awesome if he could retire after his 13th season so that he could get hitched?

And what is this?  Gaslighting?  Is it a subtle warning to Patrick from someone through 96.5 FM that he could always be traded if he doesn't stay in line?  A reminder of his draft letter and his pledge to toe the line?

Or is it quite a valid statement that once Travis is off the roster for good, that there isn't much going to hold Patrick committed to the Chiefs as well as the city, if winning is no longer happening?  Especially after the way Clark Hunt, Jr. had to sign off on how his star QB has been treated these last several years, while his organization reaped the benefits of all the publicity and three Super Bowl wins?

If that's the case?  Good for Patrick.  No doubt he would remember that he does hold some clout when it comes to the immediate future of the organization.  It's his talent that changed everything, partnered with coach Andy Reid.

This flick has too many constantly changing plots and scenes.  Just think - this particular post mostly focused on happenings with the Chiefs organization when a large factor that plays into everything is Taylor Swift, and the post hasn't focused much on her.  That book hasn't closed yet though, so plenty of time to talk about that chapter at a later time.

But there's one thing to remember.  Even though Travis will be retiring soon, whether it's within days, months, or after next season,  in case you haven't noticed, his won't be the last fauxmance to hit the sports world.  Let's look at a few more:

• New England Patriots WR Stefon Diggs + Cardi  B (Full Stop Mgmnt client)

• Buffalo Bills QB1 Josh Allen + Hailee Steinfeld (Full Stop Mgmnt client)

• NY Giants QB Russell Wilson + Ciara

• LA Chargers QB1 Justin Herbert + Madison Beer (Full Stop Mgmnt client)

• NJ Devils center Jack Hughes + singer/dancer Tate McRae

• Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes + influencer Livvy Dunne

Do you see how half of the beards are Full Stop Management clients?  Full Stop Management specializes in handling the images of closeted talent.

Look at what these teams dreamed up:

Two of the faux couples had a play date:  Josh Allen + Hailee met Paul Skenes + Livvy Dunne.

😱

They sent Paul Skenes & Dunne to Buffalo, NY to watch Josh Allen's Bills play the Jets.  Not even the Pittsburgh Steelers so there was at least a Pittsburgh connection!  smh

👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Okay, that last bit with the play date?  That's the last straw.  We are outta here on that note. 😬

If you've made it to this point, we at Narnia will join you in feeling utterly exhausted.  😉

All we can say is in the end, these players certainly deserve to be treated a lot better than in this inhumane manner.  Have Travis and Patrick received rewards along the way?  Absolutely.  Might Josh Allen be rewarded with a Super Bowl win?  It is looking quite possible.

They're humans though, not dolls to pose and order around however desired.  And they are unjustly being made an example of, not unlike a few other Narnia's faves who are all too familiar with the dealings of the closet.

Saturday Musings: Eleventh Hour Moves and Popcorn Munching Inducers

Aaah yes, the strike of midnight.  As followers and fans of a Narnia OTP (one true pairing), we should be prepared for eleventh hour shenanigans.  We've got several eleventh hour happenings to take a look at, plus a few other kibbles.

• When last we left OTP Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, they were deep in the throes of "Creation Convention Theater" as discussed in our previous post, "Flippin' J2:  Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins Become the Reconstructed and Repurposed OTP".   And so last weekend in Charlotte, NC, the Theatrical Threesome (as we may very well begin to refer to them 🎭) were taking the show on to Act II.

Interestingly enough, the weekend began to show a complete turnaround, fancy that!  Collins took a step backwards in full panel audience view:

Well now, where's all that brazenness, Collins?  👀 🔍

And Jared and Jensen, they had a wonderful panel and it was like old times.  This moment was the best, Jensen letting a fan know that he was always going to stick by his guy.  I don't know why fans try to play them against one another in a live J2 panel.  Yes, they will toss Milkbones and they'll participate in the mearding, but I will give credit to both men in that they support and stand up for the other, if fans try to play them off against the other or disrespect.  This fan was especially rude and I felt bad for Jared, but their people set this kind of thing up.  Unfortunately, it's not the publicist, but these two guys who end up paying for the scripted stunts with these kinds of consequences, on a convention stage, in front of hundreds of people.

A rude fan states that she has a question just for Jensen.  Fans have done this before at conventions and I can't imagine being this rude.  Are you this rude in real life?  At work?  In social settings?

You can tell by their faces the exact moment she says "just for Jensen".

All the props go to Jensen for sticking up for his guy. 💘

So, basically the Charlotte NC convention was a real turnaround last weekend, compared to the "Cockles feed / Cold Shoulder to Jared" nonsense at the previous con held in Denver, CO.

Or was it?

They had to give hellers something besides a ridiculous "Destiel wedding vows" quote from Collins himself, didn't they?  So in the eleventh hour, all of a sudden fans receive a video from an alleged fan who claims to have had Cockles-verifying interaction with Jensen at his autograph table.  The exchange after the autographing of a Destiel scrapbook came complete with her own twitter video and then an entire transcription of the tweet video also came for all hellers to hyperventilate about and proclaim as Gospel according to Cockles.

Isn't that something?  Jensen just putting it alllll out there for fans to see and report back to the troops.  And the testimony being posted at the end of the convention, following a pretty uneventful schedule, no less.  They had no video to back this story up, only their recorded word that Jensen allegedly claimed he lives a Destiel/Jenmish life and he didn't need any scrapbook material to slobber over.  "He. Lives. It."

What world is this, that Creation Convention Theater is becoming?  What will the next one hold?  No doubt, there will be parting gifts for both fandom sides to enjoy because that's just how this fandom works.  😉

🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗

What hasn't been said about the whole fictional nonsense of Tay and her re-do of previously released works, only to make a grotesque amount of profits, not to mention publicity and endorsement from players all around?  It's all getting covered, isn't it?

While her stans and interns were busy getting Jake's social media threads to blow up all week, but particularly beginning November 11 (because the album release was set for the 12th), Jake, Austin and the Gyllynichols fam were celebrating the tenth birthday of Baby Tile 11-11-11.  Narnia has covered this tale before.  In 2017, we wrote a two-part post called "Jake Gyllenhaal:  Oh the Places He'll Go on 11.11, Part I" and then "Part II", which explain why we firmly believe there was a Baby Tile born on 11.11 as well as why we believe the baby was a girl.

Jake has been "seen" this past week supposedly in Los Angeles as well as last weekend at the LACMA Gala.  Here he is with a loaner from Audi, in what looks like might be the car maker's new electric Tron model.  Better not let the Tile Hellions scratch that paint, Jakers, or there'll be penalties to pay!  (Could even be a case of  'you scratch, you buy!')  💰💰  😄

The Tron does seat five, so looks like the head of the household, Mother Austin, might need to bring the rest of their kiddos in a second loaner, should there be a family excursion.  After all, we know how the men have in the past, driven matching sets of wheels. 🚗🚗   Or is the Tron simply the decoy car for a couple of Q7's or Expeditions hidden in the Gyllynichols Compound garages?  😁  Seriously, it's hard to imagine squeezing part of the fam into even one of these vehicles during a summer family trip to the mountains.  Nonetheless, here's "bachelor, free-wheelin" Jake in his racy wheels 🔥🔥 :

Just call him, "Show Room Jake"!

According to I Heart Jake, he was coming from the barber shop in Los Angeles.  Here he is we assume, fresh with the new do and brand new periwinkle sweatshirt.

Not pictured, are the snaps of Jake contorting himself to get down into the driver's seat of the low ride.  (We have lots to cover in this post, so we can't be showing everything!)  Nah, here we go.  No one looks better in a mask than Jake, do you think?  😎  He's looking pretty spiffy and not bad for a father of as many kids as he has.  😉

"Show Room" Jake

Now, we are not sure what's going on with his beard, Jeanne Cadieu.  All we know is, he ditched her modeling ass for the LACMA Gala last weekend and attended with...surprise!  Big Sis.  Big Sis, who was not crinkling her nose with her husband, Peter Sarsgaard, even though we're not exactly sure where he was at.  It does not appear that he was filming at the time.  In fact, Peter's IMDb is pretty dead in the water with active filming and has been for a little while now:

Huh.  Yep, look at that.  Not busy.  Yet, it was Jake who Maggie made the big red carpet splash with at the Venice Film Festival (Peter was there, but was relegated to being the photo/video taker 📸 ), remember all of that?  And it was Jake who matched her velvet-for-velvet on the red carpet at the New York Film Festival, at the end of September.  Poor Peter did not receive the email on that one and attended velvet-less, unfortunately.  Also, it was Jake who Maggie attended a Broadway play with at the end of October.  Where was Peter in those photos, you ask?  Not around, was he?  😢  All of this ballyhoo has been for Maggie and her promo for The Lost Daughter, the first directing gig for the Sister Gyllenhaal.

And even though Peter is in the movie as well....we can only conclude his "star power" just must not be quite up to the star power of Jake's.  Because it's Jake the brother, who is being used time after time to squire her on the carpets for her promo, and not Peter...the husband.   Let that one sink in and readers should be seeing what Narnia has been saying for quite some time; that Maggie and Peter have been and are - done-zo.  But wait!

Maybe there is a place where Peter can assist, though.  A screening festival with some chatter.  But, of course.  On November 14, Peter will get to join Maggie & Dakota Johnson for a catered event to promote the movie.

Guests can expect to be provided a catered breakfast, lunch or a reception, i.e. "light refreshments".   We'll hold off on predicting any "relationship goals" memes with Maggie & Peter though, since Dakota will be in attendance, and well....promo for The Lost Daughter might have another goal audience in mind, which makes Peter a third wheel.

Intentional threesome vibes, anyone?

And it seems to now make more sense that Dakota Johnson has been seen in Jake's past, sniffing for a bearding/merkin mutual contract multiple times, when you realize that his godmother Jamie Lee Curtis has a long history with Dakota's mom, Melanie Griffith.    Well, well, well....the waters have been circling a smaller drain than many of us ever realized!!  👀👀  So Dakota being in Maggie's movie makes sense and then her mother can join the group.  And when you consider that Jamie Lee Curtis is not only Jake's godmother, but Maggie's as well...the vines are actually getting tighter and tighter, aren't they, lol?   My head hurts!

And Jamie Lee Curtis is tagged as the photographer of these photos of Maggie and Dakota.

So, perhaps now it makes more sense why Peter hasn't been around as much.  Silly Narnia!  But when he can't even bump Jake....well, Peter, we hardly knew ye!  Oh, it would seem that Mara is trying to rectify this a tad, with the force feeding of placing Peter in Maggie and Jake's physical proximity, but...well, it's falling short.  Nonetheless, new photos emerged last night of the Gylly-Sarsgaard trio at an awards show (we've not heard of this one!) we assume because The Guilty earned a writing/editing award.  For some reason, it appears to be very important for Jake to be placed in Los Angeles at this time, so we'll just sit back and wait to see what that's all about.  Looks like a gathering of extended fam is taking place, perhaps to help observe all the Gyllynichols birthdays taking place this November and December. 😉

Still, Peter seems to be an observer here, doesn't he?  Yep, we hardly knew ye, Peter, but we just might be getting a more comprehensive whiff of the tea now.  ☕ 😉

Now the Peyton Place drama doesn't start and end with the Gyllenhaal-Sarsgaards, for last weekend found Jake's man Austin, over in Wilmington, North Carolina!  Yes, Austin was attending a FWB (Friends with Benefits) One Tree Hill weekend event.  You know, FWB which rode EyeCon out of town and took over the convention gigs for their old show.

If you'd like a refresher or are new to Narnia, here's our view on the hostile takeover in a couple of posts:

From November 12, 2018 - Monday Afternoon QB'ing Musings:  Cons, Meet and Greets, and Money Wars

From April 8, 2018 - Sunday Morning Almost Monday Morning Musings - Nibbles 'n Bits

And while Austin had given the gals the thumbs down previously, this year, for some reason, there he was.  Now, one might think that Mara Buxbaum was trying hard to push the "they can't possibly be parents" narrative due to Jake being in Los Angeles GALA'ing while Austin was in Wilmington, NC.  But surely we're not all that brainless, are we?  After all, there are nannies...and babysitters...not to mention Baby Tile #1 son being fourteen now and fully capable of helping out, not to mention their cousin Ramona Sarsgaard being one year older.  Lots of help!

And so the "Weekend in Tree Hill" event took place after Austin was announced to be a guest as late as September 29:

We had photos of Austin with fans and a few of his other co-stars who were in attendance.  There had been several cancellations due to COVID or work, including Lee Pace, Bethany Joy Lenz and Tyler Hilton.  We didn't see any sign that Sophia Bush was in attendance and there were only a few photos of Hilarie Burton floating around.  There wasn't any sign of Roberto "Robert" Buckley, who is a new star lead on Hallmark's Chesapeake Shores.

That is James Lafferty on the left

Now, is it possible Austin was a late addition because he needed to shop, I mean network for a replacement for Chumley "Hassie" Harrison?   We're just askin'!  There aren't any embers left in that fire, it wouldn't appear.  Not even a glowing hot spot in a solitary Kingsford briquette!  Hmmm, now who might....Sophia wasn't anywhere around, besides she is "engaged" now to someone else.  Shantel VanSanten was there, but she's attached to Hallmark's Victor Webster.  Hmmmm...Oh!

And then they had Austin attending Jana's concert event:

Poor Austy!  There he is by his lonesome watching Jana sing, while Victor and Shantel cuddle up nearby.  Is Austin wishing Jake were there, I mean that maybe he and Jana could've had something?   Is that why he stormed the stage and -

Whoa!  Where in the heck did this all come from?  😮  Austin (Julian Baker) and Jana (Alex)?????  Did Narnia miss something somewhere along the way?

The janitorial service had barely gathered up the last of the folding chairs on Sunday, Nov. 7, when Just Jared fave Jana Kramer was chatting up to the likes of US Magazine.

And if that wasn't enough, she said yes, bring on the cameras and let me deny "rumors" for You Tube!

This is kind of a lot of fanning of the faintest of fires, does it seem to anyone else?  So, is Cadieu out the door and Austin going to take the baton in the eleventh hour of the whole Baby Tile Synthetic project?  We can only watch and see.  It's entertaining, anyway.  🍿🍿  Narnia will give the theatrics a rating of two bags of popcorn! 😁
