A Reading of The Raven with a cast of CW'ers and More
When Hilarie Burton and her husband Jeffrey Dean Morgan called for help, their former and present co-stars came a 'runnin'. On October 1, they starred in "Ghostories", a spooky story reading event produced by Families for Astor and benefiting Astor Services for Children & Families. Astor Services provides a wide variety of assistance to children in New York's Mid-Hudson Valley region and the Bronx by providing mental health and child welfare services, as well as early childhood development programs. Hilarie and Jeffrey Dean along with Paul Rudd, have a special connection to the community where Astor House is located, as they all 3 together own a candy and coffee shop in Rhinebeck, NY. The benefit reading event took place at nearby Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson.
Where the cast of former and present co-stars come into play is in a reading of The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe, which was shown via video at the Ghostories Reading event. Participation was high for these actors who were unable to attend Ghostories, but wanted to contribute. The Raven poem featured animated reading by Austin Nichols, Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Antwon Tanner, Bethany Joy Lenz, Tyler Hilton, Norman Reedus, Matt Dallas, and many others. Jared begins reading at about 7:00. He is followed by Austin and later on, Jensen.

Well, wrapping up my time with Danny and Mercy today here in Brookside, part of the ol' haunts. It was good to be back - I did love this area. You're so close to everything - Johnson County, Waldo, downtown KC, you name it. It's an awesome location. We're just waiting for their Mamas to get home. The dogs are nervous because they see you packing up stuff and I tore down the bed, tidying up, whatnot. They know what that means. So just trying to keep them happy and afraid that I'm leaving them.
Hope folks are out and about in this awesome fall weather, well except for the coast. We hope that Tom and Clarity are faring well and safe.
