Austin Nichols Hits the Big Apple for NY Comic Con 2016 - Camo Ready

The New York Comic Convention has been underway since Thursday, Oct. 6.  Yesterday, The Walking Dead had a panel with many of its co-stars as they discussed the past and upcoming seasons.

Austin Nichols was one of the participants and after not being seen for about a month, welcomed the city by posting a Good Morning greeting:

 Hello  NYCC:

Great to see our guy Mr. Austin greeting the Big Apple, isn't it?  And then we read word that Mr. Jake is also in Broadway Town as well.  What was that you said?  Austin in NYC?  Jake in NYC?

At. The. Same. Time?

Hmmmm...are they?  Or aren't they?......
And then...

And then comes this huge clue.

Which causes you to remember these...

And even the 'Bass Pro-style' Crocs
And yes, there also were these past camo fashion moments

And it would seem that the shared closet has indeed made its way to New York City this weekend.  *insert rebel yell*

Psst!  And boy, was Austin looking good yesterday... Way to rock it with a "penetrating" presence, big guy!  ;-)

Great post, PG. I have to admit that Austin was looking good yesterday, but Management never disappoints to exploit a high profile opportunity. Whereas Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan were able to cuddle up and take cheek to cheek photos, the heavily closeted Austin had to be involved in another one of those inane hetero-based stunts. Admittedly not an intricate farce, but having him "accidentally" use the verb, "penetrate," and attach that word with a female character's name in the same sentence, then having the incident tweeted everywhere is the clue that the moment was staged. Childish, but predictable.

"Spencer's really tried to penetrate Rosita" - @AustinNichols not actually trying to be sexual. "No, wait...not like that!" #TheWalkingDead

The reality is that PR had to distract from Austin and Faux Chlo not having interacted for over a month and even though she was at the same Convention, there was no true indication that these two even knew each other. In fact, one would have thought that this coordinated event would have been the perfect venue to really push the hetero and the fauxmance. Instead all that was seen was some yawn-producing pic of them walking into MSG as if they didn't even know one another. And, a few other incredibly vague tie-ins, but no holding hands, no night on the town, and no Austin at the Agents of Shield Panel supporting his wo-man.

Just this anemic Austin quote where he associates a woman's name with the act of "penetration," before awkwardly backtracking to imply that his observation was just an innocent slip of the tongue. Not what he meant at all. The audience is then supposed to titter while the subtle intent is still conveyed. *Wink, wink* Austin must really like that Rosita character.

Reminds me of that infamous "Inside the Actor Studio" quote from Jake back in 2013. He was asked by James Lipton "What turns him on?" and he quickly stated his rehearsed answer, “Tits and ass.” Making sure Jake's mother was in the audience at the time was a nice touch too. Real authentic, Jake.

"Hope you weather the storm Tom and Clarity. Thankfully it sounds like it's not going to be as bad of a storm as initially feared."

Thanks for thinking of me guys. All is well thank goodness. Lol...interesting that the boys follow the same fashion trends. Watched the trailer for Jakes new movie. Hmm...not sure on that one yet. Trailer was kind of vague.

Hey Clarity! Great to see you. Just wanted to put the feelers out. :-) Thanks for checking in.

It was great to see Austin yesterday - it had been quite a long time. And Jake wandering around the streets of NYC - Central Park it was tweeted? Not sure about that one. But no doubt, Mgmnt pounded the stamp of approval on the 'ok' for these 2 guys to be known to be in NYC at the same time.

Hey, I was excited! =O

lol, I loved digging up these pictures. All you have to do is Google Jake and "camo" and lol....and you get quite the potpourri of pics. And with the additional options of green cargo pants, green cargo shorts/clam diggers, the green army coat with hood, these guys have several combinations for a week's worth of ensembles. ;-)

Austin Instagramm'd his gratitude to NYC earlier today:

austinnichols#nycc Thanks for a great weekend. The fans and energy that fuel this show is unlike anything I've ever seen.

Nice choice of pictures, Austin!

pictures = picture. *sigh* I'm too lazy to fix it.

Well, my poor mom & aunt had wanted to watch movies on the DVD player, but something blew out and so tonight I hooked up the other one and there were 5 different little plugs to go from the television to the DVD player. There was blue, green, red and white. You had Audio Out, Video Out, two reds, and dumba** here almost had a clean transition to the different DVR player except I put the green plug into the blue hole. So close! lol.

They're happy now though - they can watch their video movies and all is good. Nothing though like having your mom treat you like you're still 10 years old and try to tell me how to operate the remote! Leave me alone, mom. LOL. Dangit.
"You want Component". "I know that, I'm trying." "No, it needs to be on -" "I know, the remote is not cooperating and I'm trying."

lol. Ugh. Electronic devices.

Yeaaaaah baby, some Madonna and "Dress You Up".

I love 80's Madonna - she was my favorite. Just a real icon, she really was. She changed fashion and she was a symbol of sass, spirit and strength for women, as far as I was concerned.

I have to agree PG. Madonna was definitely a game changer in the 80's. There were others but she was right there on top. I loved the fact that she wasn't afraid to be controversial.

Wasn't she? I thought she was so cool. And you know, I loved that movie Desperately Seeking Susan. No one hardly shows that movie anymore.

I don't follow her as much anymore, but then she's really not in the news either except with regards to her kids, it seems like. She got kind of odd in her older years and it's been kind of sad/disappointing. But I still enjoy her music, even some of her later stuff.

I saw a tweet on one of my timelines last night and it was about a new social media called Gap. They have a waiting list. And once again, someone keeps trying to bring down Twitter.

It makes me wonder big time why folks keep trying to bring down Twitter. If you shove aside all of the spoon feeding from publicity teams, the paid accounts and irritating marketing, Twitter is 1) fastest for news, 2) the best place for spontaneity, truth and reality, and 3) feel good, loads of pictures, hilarity. What a platform to meet people on a casual basis where you never would have ever been able to talk to them or meet before. I talked to a guy from Argentina last night because he tweeted a picture of the cutest Bernese puppy.

And he works with animals like cougars and monkeys. He tweeted a cool picture of a cougar. Now where on earth are you ever going to have that kind of opportunity? It was awesome! People tweet some of the most beautiful pictures of places I'm never going to be able to see in my lifetime. I've laughed at some of the funniest stuff and well, you get the drift.

I do not get why there just seems to always be this campaign to bring down Twitter.

I love 80s Madonna too, and Desperately Seeking Susan, I can't tell you how many times I've watched that movie. Sigh....
