When Everyone Knows Baby Tile's Birthday, or How I Actually Spent My Son's Ninth Year Celebration by Toothy Tile

Fortunately for most of the remaining Baby Tiles, the dates of their birthdays remain an unsolved mystery.  Otherwise, the celebratory dinner table would always be missing a body at one of the head chairs wouldn't it?  (At least on the date imprinted on the birth certificate.)

With no surprise, October 17th arrived and both parental units provided their expected GPS distractions to try and dispel any possible public ideas of Marvel birthday cakes and Star Wars paper-wrapped gifts.

There was Austin Nichols waving the I'm-in-Los-Angeles flags with beard Chloe Bennet:

And then yesterday, Papa Jake did his thing:

First there was an appearance at the Headstrong Gala which was held at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers, NYC at 7:30 pm ET.

Then, Jake sped his way to the St James Theater in NYC for the Hilary Clinton "Stronger Together" fundraiser which started at 8:30pm ET.

where he arrived for the Broadway themed event,

and somewhere along the way did the ol' wardrobe chang-eroo

Now, before one can click their tongue along with a Jessica Fletcher shake of the head, it is remembered that Jake has appeared several times before with Zach Iscol, Seth Meyers and the Headstrong Project dating back to May 2013 and October 1 2014.  It is an important cause and one that Jake appears to have been touched by.

While Jake's Twitter search was flooded with pictures, quotes, videos and squeals over him paired with Jon Hamm, our M&M has made note of an interesting logistical moment she realized herself.

Only 2.1 miles and a 1 hour start time separated Jake's Headstrong and Stronger Together public appearances.

And what about the Great Pumpkin Conveyor Belt Caper by Austin and the beard? Well, let's just say the actual spoon fed location of both video participants is about as believable as the existence of the Great Pumpkin.

No, wait a minute.  I think Linus and Snoopy might have one over on the Conveyor Belt Caper.  *wink*

While the seventeenth day of October banged and clanged all over the internet, it was actually October 15th and 16th that interestingly enough made even more noise with how quiet both Austin and Jake were during the weekend. Seems likely that's when the real celebration took place in a quid pro quo deal with Management.  And as is Jake's style, subtlety is not included in his list of "See? I'm not a father" best practices as he made not one public appearance last night, but two.  And the beard's technique of uploading grainy, three-second videos with mumbled voice overs remains just that -- grainy, brief, mumbled and... hardly persuasive.

Another rough day at work. My mind has just been FRIED, lol. Pretty much worthless once the whistle blows.

I'm watching Mardi, Alvin and Moo - the cats. I love them to death. Each one is so different and they are very much people oriented. Never cared for cats ever. Ever, ever. And she had asked me several years ago if I would be interested in watching them but the diabetic one always made me a little reluctant and well, just never was a cat person.

But I am just in love with these three. They're very, very special.

Ha ha ha hah, I forgot I had changed my avatar. Look at that pointing finger - guess whose that is. LOL.

And guess who have punched off the radar now. I'll give you......one shot at it.

There seems to be some happenings over in J2 fandom and I tried to catch up on Spn_Gos, but man, they had comments up the WAZOO. So I hate to comment about much without at least understanding what's going on.

I did get that Jared and Jensen aren't doing their winery thing together anymore. That Jared is now setting up shop with ol' Stephen Amell. Isn't that interesting? Have to wonder what caused that little separation. Too much togetherness?

Jared and Jensen get away with so much, it's hard to believe there are still so many girls who think their marriages are for real. smh.

I love when Management organizes these events for Jake during times that are much too gay to be allowed. Baby Tile's 9th birthday is just the most recent example. I can just hear the exchange in the War Room six months before:

Stooge #1 "We've got to put Jake at a high profile, real time event on October 17th. Where we can get lots of pics and post them on Getty."

Stooge #2 "Hey, how 'bout if we put him at two events? Even better! We'll just tell him that he and Austin will have the weekend to celebrate with the family."

Stooge #1 "True. It'll just look like he's got nothing better to do on October 17th."

Stooge #2 "Don't you think people will find it odd that he doesn't do anything public for months and then all of a sudden his dance card is filled on the very day he is rumored to have had his first kid?"

Stooge #1 "Nah. Hey, people bought Jake being with Marcus Mumford three years in a row to cover for his husband's birthday!"

Stooge #2 "LOL! That was one of our best stunts. If it wasn't for that one OMG blogger who figured it all out and exposed us. I was already working on Jake having a photo op with Mumford for a fourth year. Darn that social media. It gives the public too much power to point out our lack of imagination."

For those who aren't familiar with the Marcus Mumford-Jake Gyllenhaal pairings to cover for Austin's birthday (April 24), here's the chronology:

2011: Mumford & Mulligan in the Railroad Revival Tour with Jake: April 22 (San Pedro) – April 27 (New Orleans)

2012 : Mumford and Mulligan “Wedding” April 19 (UK) – April 24 (New York) Jake "attends" wedding.

2013: Mumford and Mulligan Tribeca Film Festival April 20 (NY) - April 23 Knicks and Celtics game (NY) Jake in attendance

Now, given the complicated schedules of people like Mulligan, Mumford and Jake, what are the odds that for three consecutive years in a row, Mumford and Mulligan’s schedules just happened to neatly coincide with Jake’s to provide cover around Austin's birthday?

In other words, what we saw this past Monday on BT1's birthday is a common PR technique. Place Jake not at one, but two separate venues to "prove" he has nowhere else to be.
