BYOS - Bring Your Own Sunglasses For This Look Back at March 12, 2016

Today Narnia Dispatches celebrates a phenomenon that happened one year ago today, March 12, 2016.   After nearly four years of not being photo'd together,  Jake Gyllenhaal and Austin Nichols were seen outside a sausage house and beer garden (hold the snark, please! LOL) called Bangers in Austin, TX.  The appearance was unexpected for Austin - not so much for Jake.  Jake was scheduled to appear at Bangers, as part of his promotion for the movie Demolition which was showing at the SXSW Film Festival.

We had a preliminary teaser when tweeter Carlos Chavez revealed he thought he saw Jake and Austin at the "A Conversation With Jake Gyllenhaal" event held at the Austin Convention Center.

And darned if we did not then follow Jake's train schedule to Banger's after this event, and what happened?  THIS happened.

Penny for the baby, sir, could I have some more????

Look at them!!!!  Just look at that!!   Three and a half years that dadgummed Jaustin / Toothy Tile & Grey Goose drought lasted, surviving on a diet of crossed paths, coincidences, gas fumes and ships passing in the night supported by social media alone, come to fruition and gloriously sated with this one single photo.

Why, I think time may have stood still for a mere second, the stars and planets aligned, sunbeams burst through the clouds, and those clouds - if you were not present at that moment, you may have missed the clouds....

It was and still is something to behold.  Today, Narnia Dispatches celebrates nearly 15 years of Jake and Austin still knowing each other, still seeing each other, doing things together, sharing a meal, walking, being together, however you want to see their association.  It cannot be denied, will not be hand-waved, ignored or tucked away here at Narnia Dispatches.

Today, we celebrate Jake and Austin.  Here's to you, fellas.  xoxo

And despite the happy, appreciative state of our guys' post, we are on red alert today.

LOLLLL. Narnia is on red alert all stinkin' week as far as Jake & Austin are concerned. The traffic light is red.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. None of the OTP's are having peaceful times really. But for right now - it's kind of quiet and that's nice.

Jake's movie Life will close out SXSW 2017 this year, on Saturday, March 18. Last year was a phenomenon of sorts.

I doubt anything remotely similar occurs this year, which is why the traffic light is red. This week is also spring break for many schools across the country; I know that many schools are closed around here. Plus, Sunday in the Park With George will go on a week long break this coming week.

And Day 364 Captain's Log, waiting for the belated, delayed announcement of the birth of baby Padalecki. While Mgmnt and the Padalecki's/Ackles play the fans like a fiddle, gaslighting and misleading up the ying yang, trying to buy time until the announcement has always planned for, I reckon.

It's been something else to watch. Kind of like watching so many of the Larrie fans with the LAXgate. Torturous. That event was much more emotional, much more dramatic than PadaSurrogait. But still, to watch the manipulation

Watching the Louis Tomlinson sideshow is something to behold. His arrest on March 4th means that he is due to appear in court on March 29 for charges. *rolls eyes* There's a video that shows exactly what happened (even though the whole airport "brawl" was obviously staged), but smear article after corporate smear article have been appearing all week long. Tabloid manipulation and unfounded accusations ranging from Louis punching a girl in the face to rendering a photographer unconscious. Yeah right. Who cares about the truth when a corrupt and bitter management team is doing everything it can to destroy their closeted client before his contract ends. I love too how the fake girlfriend makes a quick getaway a few days after the incident, flying out of LAX, charged with absolutely nothing, even though she was involved with the brawl as well. Some people simply have no moral compass or conscience. And, often they go on to be beards for hire.

All of a sudden there are a flood of Jake photos and emphasis on his being at the theater for his shows this weekend. Who knows what PR is up to, but one thing is for sure, it's quiet on the Austin fauxmance front. Since Jake is in the spotlight now, there's no need for Austin and his closet enablers to be instagramming, snapchatting and just generally creating a social media frenzy.

Remember, it's not just what we see, but what we don't see that matters. With Jake sucking up all the oxygen in the room, Austin just slinks off into the shadows (out of sight, out of of mind) to live his real life as a father and a husband. He hasn't been working for months, yet he seems to vanish into thin air whenever Jake is accessible. PR really blew it, once again because with all his time off, you would have thought that Mr. Nichols would be back in Austin, TX very publicly helping out with his "convalescing" father. Yet, somehow he's nowhere to be found.

Once again, the GPS coordination of Jake and Austin's schedules is predictably consistent. This means what's happening (or not happening) right now is pretty much right on cue. One would think these management types would get a bit more sophisticated over the years, but it's the same old playbook with a different celebrity attached. Oh, and please don't start posting a bunch of photos of Austin and the beard to counter the observation. It's far too late to make this nonsense look believable after years and years of repetition.

oh noooo! Somehow I have the playlist off to the right. :*O That's what I get for tweeting and doing the song player at the same time. LOL!!

Sorry about that, folks. This is fun - we're going to have some Irish music. This has always been one of my favorites - The Unicorn! Little did I know at the time.....lol.

The other two pieces were found just perusing around - nice, nice tunes! This will be great fun.
