Will I ever let this one go? Nope. Not as long as I'm breathing and online.
It was one year ago today that Decoding Anna published her last round of Tumblr posts. At some point that day, she began receiving hate messages from an "anon" tumblr and abruptly disappeared, never to be heard from again.
Narnia has absolutely no doubt whatsoever that she was bullied off the internet by a PR team.
So we pay our admiration for a blogger who dared to make observations and bravely speak her mind, all the while remaining respectful while doing it, a trait I personally still work at on a daily basis, but she handled so well. Anna, wherever you are, as a Twitter and Tumblr mutual, I miss your presence, but hope you are enjoying your life. Social media is supposed to be fun, yes sometimes we are passionate about what we believe in, things can also get emotional or heated. But social media should never involve personal threats, hate, and bullying intimidation. It's gifs and laughs, gushing and admiring, surprises, excitement, enlightenment and human engagement.
We think of you today.
