Wow, wasn't Tony Bennet's voice wonderful? That's a recording from 1959. I almost went with a Four Tops version, but it was a bit dramatic, lol.
You know, this post was very short and no bombshell, no Boom! no cute pics, no big find. But I wanted to do it.
M&M's been trying to tell me for quite awhile that Jake and Austin just don't live here in the States much anymore and I said oh, I can see that they have a place over there. But I still thought that LA was the sentimental home base.
But now that the Bennet bearding has been done with and at least since late last year, I too think these guys have flown the coop and their main residency is overseas.
Sure, Mgmnt probably filters out a few sightings when they are here, and after all, Jake was supposed to have filmed the Untitled Dan Gilroy Project™ in LA. But they're in the States sometimes obviously. Just not much anymore.
When there have been "sightings" of Jake, they're so hinky it's not even funny. The one they floated which was supposedly him and beard Greta Caruso? That wasn't even Jake from behind. It was a joke.
Tonight, Mgmnt floats some semi-blurry photo on an account that's in another language. And they use Mgmnt intern-operated Instagram accounts to float these pictures, claiming that the picture takers are contacting them personally to give them the "exclusives".
No more twitpics. No more Just Jared outings. Most everything now is filtered through Mgmnt controlled Instagram.
Another pattern that has become quite telling is Austin's social media. Pretty much the only time his account posts is around holidays and his birthday, when they need to place him far away from Jake. And he will tweet once in a great while about the ocean and sea life, topics which I do believe are dear to his heart. But they're quite impersonal in nature and usually involve asking for donations.
What is telling is how he doesn't tweet about live-time events, and most of all, events and shows in America. And I say it's because he's not here in the States. He's not only tied up with a family, but he's in a whole other time zone. Like, way off.
And this is the other realization - that these two guys are showing all the signs of being extremely domesticated. True, when you have this many children, your life is no longer your own. Kids as young as theirs can be very occupying and demanding. And though I think the kids are home schooled, there's still at least one not even pre-school age.
Now, is this because they've become a family on the lam? And why are they on the lam? Why move overseas?
Why move overseas? Because their kids are getting bigger. It's got to be harder to stay hidden. And Austin doesn't get recognized too much; Jake? Different story. Jake can't take these kids to Disney World or out to dinner. They can't go out as a family. I don't know how they've done it up to this point, but it has got to be much easier overseas. And I'm thinking either the UK and/or France. Particularly France would it be easier to hide out.
I recall that comment from a guy on Data Lounge years ago, who said that he had seen Jake with "his lover" several times overseas, and if I recall correctly it was either Italy or France.
Refugees. They've become refugees from their own country - but by their own choosing. No sympathy here. This is their choice.
Makes one wonder, doesn't it? On one hand, it's nice to believe they've got this family life. But how healthy is it? It's never good to have to run away. And that's what you're doing - you're running away. You're like the Von Trapps.
When I watched my niece graduate, I was really overcome a bit with emotion, as was my mom and sister. We had been very, very involved with the kids when they were little, not as much in the later years. But very much so when they were small, experienced milestones and tragedies like balloons caught in the ceiling fan and every single birthday celebration and sibling fight and reading books and watching Blues Clues, playing and whatnot. It was overwhelming to see this child was all grown up, graduating, and where did the years go?
And it's sad to think that Jake and Austin will not experience this kind of event with their kids, at least in a public school - it's such a big event and time in a family's life. Just a passing thought.
Anyway, just random thoughts. My Royals won tonight and it is 10 stinkin' twenty two and I need to wind down and give ol' M&M a ring a ding ding.

Seen him with lover in the South of France several times in the oughts. I am calling him a closet case, yep. Maybe he's not a tramp, doesn't sleep around, and his exes respect his choice to stay in the closet.
I don't get your comparison to gay for pay porn actors.. I have nothing to say about gay for pay porn actors.. I don't need to call them gay, or straight, or whatever. And they are sex workers. And they can call themselves whatever they want. What have their lives got to do with a Hollywood leading man deciding to stay in the closet?
JG can obviously call himself whatever he wants. He's says he's straight. Fine. But I have the impression he's gay and closeted.

So that is why Jake was able to meet in Crema, Italy with Luca Guadagnino about a possible role in a film with Michelle Williams and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Deliberately kind of vague in terms of timing. Did she just meet him? If so, that's all she has to say about it? Nothing about where it was, how did the encounter come about?
Was it yesterday and she just didn't say anything about it yesterday, but now is just overwhelmed by it all and feels it's either safe to say something or can now type the words? lol.
Did it happen a week ago? A year ago? Then why tweet about it now or at least say something about "remembering a year ago when..."
Not believable. Not saying it couldn't be true. I'm leaning towards it being a false tweet, but his people are now ready to "place" Jaker over in the UK because they want fans to believe he is now "preparing" to start filming whichever project it is he's going to start working on.
When all along, he has been overseas for weeks with the family, but now the coast is clear and he is going to be presented as "filming overseas".
We'll see. But I think this is how his people set it up.
