Jake Gyllenhaal is... Mr. Forgetful-in-Love

On September 20, 2017, Jake's verified Facebook account posted an interview conducted by Facebook's Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg.  Jake's movie Stronger was about to be released and so Ms. Sandberg was on hand to help promote Jake and his movie.  Lo and behold, it was in the last minute of the interview, that Jake let everyone know of something in life that was on his "bucket" list.  Let's offer a transcription first.

"All right, last question I always ask everyone this, in the spirit of Lean In - one more thing you would do if you weren't afraid?" -  Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg

"I....uh..."  Jake

"Next thing."  -  Sheryl Sandberg

"Fall in love." - Jake

"Such a nice answer." - Sheryl Sandberg

* modest, humble chuckle * - Jake

Here's a live look at Austin and the kids as they discover this video:

Jake?  What do you have to say in response?  And don't tell us or the audience, please address your family.

"Well....."

Reallllly now?

"Yup."

lol. While it's fun to put gifs into people's mouths, let's not maintain the lighthearted tone for the duration of the post.   Here's the clip and you can start it at 14:15 and watch Jake look the woman in the eye and answer that he's been too scared to fall in love, an insinuation that falling in love is something he's juuust not been able to place on his "Accomplished" list yet.

Before we let Jakers scamper off all pleased with himself, there's a little matter of memory lapse to go over.

Mr. G seems to have forgotten that he told Howard Stern a totally different story back in July of 2015.

Again - can we get a transcriber?

"How many times have you really been in love - really in love?" - Howard Stern

"Three times" - Jake.  Then, correcting himself - "Twice"

From People.com:

He didn’t name names – the actor has dated a number of stars, including Kirsten Dunst, Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift and Alyssa Miller – but placed the blame on himself for relationships failing even when he was in love.

“It was me, man,” he said. “I think I probably just got scared.”

Gyllenhaal added that he's not in love at the moment, and he admitted he's a little sad about that.  "I love love, man," he said.  "Are you kidding me?"

Hmm, what to believe, what to believe...

Well, all we at Narnia can say is Austin might want to make a Walgreens run and pick up a bottle of Mr. Bubble; then, run some hot water in a claw foot tub, wrap those big ol' arms around his Mr. Forgetful, and jump start that stalled memory.   ;-)

And while some fun was poked at this contradiction and I had some enjoyment picking out gifs, this kind of stuff that Jake did isn't funny.

And one of these days, in some way, it's likely going to come back and bite him good in his heiney. Because I'm a firm believer in making a mistake by playing with fire. You're just asking for trouble.

You would think Jake would stop with this kind of lying. And look at who he told this to? An executive with Facebook, of all companies. We know what Facebook did, didn't we?

The dishonest hanging with the dishonest.

smh. I reckon these guys think their kids will never find out this kind of thing? Or that they'll understand? Maybe they've already had "the talk" with the oldest and explained their whole closet situation. If they haven't, the day should be on the horizon. Rather it come from them, than a friend or the child seeing something like this on their cell phone or tablet.

It is kind of funny how Jake forgot what he told Howard Stern when he answered Ms. Facebook. "Aaaaah, I'd like to fall in love if I wasn't so afraid."

LOL. Oh boy. Poor Norman Bates.

I love when Jake gets caught in his own lies. He's always jumping off the deep end and assuming all of his enablers will protect him somehow. How ironic that he selected one of the biggest liars of 2018 to facilitate his latest fiction. The Chief Operating Officer of FACEBOOK. LOLLLLLL! Gee that question at the end wasn't scripted at all. Almost...organic!

Reminds me of how Jake went out of his way just a few months before that interview to be the face of a fragrance campaign that was primarily selected to publicized that he has no children. Jake sure has some interesting people he hangs with. Lance Armstrong; Harvey Weinstein; Mario Batalli, and now Sheryl Sandberg. You sure can pick 'em, Jake. #ThickAsThieves

So let's see. Never been in love. No children. Recluse. Workaholic. Yep, the narrative of someone deep in the closet with no desire to just live his life in private. No, he needs to keep weaving a web a lies around himself, desperate to deceive the public and prove just how much he seems to enjoy the duplicity, the gaslighting, and the utter disregard for candor.

It was probably a planted question, huh? There's not much spontaneous anymore when it comes to these interviews and late night talk shows. PR teams ensure that a few certain questions are asked so that they can feed a narrative.

Aw man, I am just pooped. I don't know if I can make it through this 10th inning of the Royals game. Caving fast.

Oops! I meant a web of lies around himself.

Well, M&M and I were trying to get our post up today, but due to unforeseen circumstances, there's just no way. And the post does require time taken with it.

lol. I blame Jared & Jensen and their gaffe yesterday. I got all distracted and spent too much time on Spn Goss and looking at Instagrams, then at Candace Bure's Instagram and one thing led to another and another.

Then, researching for our post which took awhile finding a quote. But it was found!! So, now it'll be a matter of finishing Part 2.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and I'll tweet when the post is done.

Jake is going back to Broadway.

A new musical featuring the songs of Bob Dylan and productions starring Glenn Close, Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge will be among the 2018-19 offerings of Off Broadway’s Public Theater.

The West End hit Girl From the North Country, written and directed by Conor McPherson and featuring music from Dylan’s songbook, will make its North American premiere in September, with an American cast. (The photo above was taken at the Old Vic Theatre in London last July).

Also in September, Jane Anderson’s Mother of the Maid makes its New York premiere starring Glenn Close as the mother of Joan of Arc.

Gyllenhaal and Sturridge are set to appear in a double bill of solo shows beginning in January as part of the Public’s Under the Radar festival. Sturridge will perform Simon Stephens’ Sea Wall, a monologue “about love and the human need to know the unknowable,” while Gyllenhaal stars in Nick Payne’s A Life, “a meditation on how we say goodbye to those we love most.” The one-acts, performed under the combined title Sea Wall/A Life, will be directed by Carrie Cracknell.

I don't know, that's dicey weather in NYC during those months

Tom Sturridge is Robert Pattinson's bff and has been paired up with Sienna Miller. Sienna Miller's "dating" history reads like this, I'm just sayin'......

Sienna Miller has been in relationships with Brad Pitt (2017), Bennett Miller (2016 - 2017), George Barker (2009), Balthazar Getty (2008 - 2009), Matthew Rhys (2007), Jamie Burke (2007), James Franco (2006), Nico Malleville (2006), Daniel Craig (2003), Orlando Bloom (2001), Mark Hildebrandt and Jamie Dornan.

Oh. LOL!!!

Guess who else is supposed to have dated Tom Sturridge? Carey Mulligan and Camilla Belle.

Add Sienna Miller to that mix and that pretty much seals the deal, I don't have to look any further.
