The day we began talking on Oh My Godot blogspot in the unlikely post "Looking for Loki", but one which served as a vessel for a classic case of a pr team's intern being sent in to dispute and discourage discussion occurred. The visit was a classic example of the many times a troll took up residence on an OMG thread, persistent in arguing and usually culminating with personal attacking, as evidenced by the deletion of comments. And the next day, June 2, on one of Special's Out Spotlight's which focused on Sam Harris, the discussion turned to the PR Repair as Jake was suddenly photographed "arriving" into Los Angeles at LAX in some of the most ridiculous "pap" pics he'd had to do. And these airport photos were some of the last that we've seen Jake do ever since. In an excellent analysis of the LAX photos by Special K, called "A Little Song and Dance", some good points are made and M&M provides excellent explanations and scenarios. (This particular author only irritated and attracted the ire of a scoffer. Sorry, Special! 😞 lol) Clearly, this was a memorable moment in Baby Tile lore and one of the last of the organic sightings we've had of either Jake or Austin. Now, they "slip through the cracks on purpose" on social media, barring the organic Romulus flight sighting (covered in the November 30, 2016 post "One If By Tile, Two If By @Austinnichols Family"). Aaaaah, good times! Today, we remember fondly. Hard to believe it's been seven years.

While Jake has disappeared again into his prairie dog hole, and we entertain ourselves with recycled, old pictures - Wait, what? What did you say? There are some new pictures of Jake? Where? What's he doing? And they're nice ones? Well, we at Narnia Dispatches are very sorry to say that we cannot share them. You see, this literal smattering of unseen photos of Jake look to be current (we assume because of the "Prince of Persia"-like length of his brunette locks),
but we don't know that for certain only because well, the photos are difficult to locate the original source, even though the account with the watermark all over them refers those who ask "Where did you get these pictures?", to reach out to @CriterionCollection. It would seem the screencaps likely come from a "new interview" with the actors and others associated with the film Wildlife and is a bonus feature of the DVD. Apparently, @jakey_gyllenhaal (a "fanpage" Instagram account) had her copy of the DVD express shipped because just three (3) days laterafter the DVD was available on release , here she is with HD HQ screencaps from the interview. With her watermark on them. When another supposed Jake Instagram fan account (@jakegyllenhaalphoto) re-posts two of the new photos, they are scolded by yet another Jake account (@gyllenatic) for "stealing!!" the photos from @jakey_gyllenhaal, whom we must now assume has exclusive rights to the HD HQ photos. @gyllenatic proceeds to then tattle of this horrific crime to two additional Jake fan accounts, who then come scurrying over to also hurl stones at @jakegyllenhaalphoto.
And then the other half of the Jake Cavalry, aka @chaoticjakekilledthedinosaurs, came over with their ruler.
Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. Pardon this author while she steps outside for a moment to have a private moment of being humored.
I don't know, but I think we here at Narnia have ridden this merry-go-round before and the source of the gall was our old friend from the past, jakebullshittingovereverybody. 😉
What is also fascinating over this policing and fretting over "photo credits" and "stealing from the internet", is this same account who created the fabulous "edit", also posted this interesting photo,
Entitled "Jake with tattoos", this photo seems to show our Jakers with tats on both forearms! When did he get those? They must be real because there does not look to be a hashtag of "manip" or "filter" or "specialedit", etc. in that mass listing of hashtags. They do not appear to be from his Southpaw filming days as his character's arms did not have tattoos in that area of his forearms. Perhaps from Prisoners? Just askin'.
Jake's team seems a bit obsessed with controlling pictures of their client, don't they?
Now comes this new friendly and helpful warning from a Wiki How about posting photos on your Blogger page. Dated May 14, 2020:

Lucky for these Jake fanpages, Instagram is more of a leash-free dog park, so to speak, huh? Because otherwise, the "fanpage" Instagram account would've had to order the DVD, receive the package in the mail within three (3) days, in order to have time to contact Criterion Collection (and receive a reply) for permission to create those HD HQ screen caps of Jake from the interview, not to mention an actual video clip, in order to post them on her Instagram page. Phew!
I'm just asking, just asking. Pondering out loud. Speculating. Entertaining ideas.

Hello! Just hanging out here, inspired by Liam's tweet poll and so I thought it might be fun to toss out some ideas as well of what Liam could try during his You Tube series, which has been just a delight since he began.
Don't you love the way you can see all the evidence of Liam's cooking on the counters? ;-)
Love the way Liam cooks - this author can identify! My counters can get a bit helter skelter as well.
Puppies? Would there be any question? Can I put in a personal request for baby goat or baby sheep in a sweater? 🐑
Liam and music? Well, he's so talented and sings so well, with accompaniment or without, we could only be so blessed.
And reminiscing? About??? His past musical experiences? Well, how about branching off one of these ideas, hmmmm??
• Past travels - Liam has visited so many places in the world, some of us could only dream about all the cities and countries he's been to. Without revealing a whole lot, Liam could share a snapshot of some very cool places that left an impression on him. Maybe there's a point of interest or local custom that had an impact on him. Saw something being crafted that he had never seen before. Share some personal experience related to one of the One Direction tours! Something we didn't know before.
• Art work. Surely in his travels, Liam has witnessed works of art. One can walk around Chicago and NYC and see interesting pieces of public art. In Kansas City, we have the cows and the shuttlecocks, for instance. Or there's the famous Butter Statuary at the Iowa State Fair.
They're pretty cool, eh? ;-)
• Share some favorite tunes. Does he own any vintage records or music playing devices? What is a song that he thinks we would be surprised he might like?
• I saw an observation on social media this past week that Louis was more of lyricist whereas Liam was more of the melody writer. Is that true and if so, where does he get his ideas for melodies? That is a huge talent (either one - lyrics or melodies) - how does a melody come to his mind? Does he sit at a piano and play the keys or has he been driving and a piece of melody just hits him? Athletes try out moves out on the court, dancers move in front of the mirrors, inventors are always in the lab. How does a musician hone his or her craft? • What are some fabulous dishes he has had in all of his travels? Is he an adventurist when it comes to trying all kinds of new foods? Design a menu. Does he create a table with a mood for those date nights or is it a simple seat at the dining table with the "good" silver? There could be many longtime fans who already know some of these details, but just ruminating on this topic, perhaps these are some future ideas Liam could try? What do you think? The possibilities are out there and waiting. But then again, who doesn't love to watch Liam cook? The pasta he dished up last Sunday looked delicious. His animated string of reactions to the pan fire was classic and I'm going to end with this picture which I like: The strainer resting on the burners. The little dog salt and pepper shakers.
Look at the pasta utensil floating in the saucepan. And the nearness of the tablet to that fire is giving me anxiety, Liam! lol. Whatever Liam comes up with, I'm sure his fans will give him some wonderful ideas. Kudos to him for venturing into You Tubing. ➢➢➢➢➢➢➢➢ And then there's Austin. lol. Awwww, gotta love our two dinosaurs Jake and Austin. Here is Austin trying his hand again at dancing, with his real life hubs' talent agency WME/Endeavor shoehorning in a mention of one of their clients, The Weeknd. (Oh yes, Austin's social media had to have been included as part of Jake's deal.)
Here's Austin with what looks more like a taxidermy or carnival game booth version of his formerly nameless pup.
Anyway, we're always up for new pictures of either Austin or Jake. Looks like Big Sis Ashley has miraculously appeared and is allowing her image to be used to help her brother.

Can you count all of the pandemic how-not-to's between the video and these two pictures? lol. Good lord, Austin. So since Austin isn't wearing a mask with his nieces, are we to assume the Nichols/Stovall pandemic compound has been a thing since the lockdown? Hmmm. But I thought Austin had his own house in Austin, TX? Why would he be in the Stovall house with his nieces and have no mask on???? And gotta love Austin's reply to someone who commented on the video, asking if the dog was dead. And Austin replied, "just super tired".
Oh, and notice who's missing? Right, Austin's beard Chumley. Chumley, who Rowdy replies to in the comments "wish you were here!" So Chumley hasn't been "documented" with Austin since the shutdown, yet here she is with the pup, who has shrunk in size again. She never even did a birthday post for who is supposed to be her boyfriend! And it was a milestone birthday???
They all might want to 1) start a hashtag of #InconsistencyGoals and 2) just ponder the cross-pollination of households as reflected in what are supposed to be post-COVID pictures and captions.
And now? It's the Sahara Desert again. Both Jake and Austin have been lying low once again, imagine that. Aaah, the trials of following those two....it's the rise and the fall, the ebb and the flow. The predictability of it all. 😏 But, still entertaining after all these years.

And who do we have here, but Mr. Niall Horan appearing on BBC's Radio 1 program, performing his first release, This Town. Niall is so right about acknowledging the creativity of artists who have performed live during the pandemic. Sounding very nice here, Nialler!
His on-air stint is supposed to be on You Tube today, May 24 (let's hope not at the same time as Liam, should he air another You Tube episode). Some tweeters were able to capture some moments and shared them online. We thank them! And this person shares that Niall is going to be guesting on Graham Norton this coming Friday, May 29 - not in the studio, of course.
So we've had Liam promoting Midnight, Niall promoting Nice to Meet Ya, Harry with his Watermelon Sugar music video, even if the production was uber hetero-laced with a wink wink to the gay side of the fandom. Who's been standing out in the rain and cold with their music promos?
Yep. And,
Exactly - Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson. Couldn't look more and more obvious as the years have gone by, could it? Both men have tremendous fan support, but the last time I looked, doesn't seem the fans are turning in timesheets to the record companies, are they? Didn't think so. Just something to think about, particularly since Zayn supposedly left the group on his own accord. One would think he would have signed with someone who would be promoting his music. Of course, like with all the guys, we here at Narnia know the answer to that question. Sony/Syco is manipulating all their images and trying to pit one guy against the other so the One Direction fandom continues to erode.

Speaking of erosion, there's a sheer mudslide going on in the J2 fandom and Supernatural fandom as a whole. It's been trickling for years, erupted into full-blowout mode,
And now, the eruption is just a steady trickle due to the ongoing destruction of the fandom. The end of the show is near, both Padalecki and Ackles camps are running practically a 'round the clock RSS feed of "separate family" Narrative Stories. [Extra college-try points to the Pads for their ramped up use of the eldest son "with" Genevieve!]
We're not going to rinse and repeat the posts from their steroidal displays, but one should ask why so OTT when neither actor has a show airing right now. And in fact, their present show Supernatural is drawing to a close, with the ratings reflecting a need for an oxygen hook-up. And it can't even really be for Jared's new show, Walker, because guess what? It's not airing until 2021. Supernatural will return in the fall with seven episodes (they haven't even filmed the last two, including the finale).
Regarding a
specific timetable re: shooting the final two Supernatural episodes, Pedowitz hedged, “We
hope that they will be able to start shooting sometime in late summer or fall.
And if not, we will then become flexible and rearrange our scheduling.” - CW president, Mark Pedowitz from TV Line
Okay....and what about Jared's new show, Walker, which also airs on the same network, the CW?
Meanwhile,
the forthcoming Walker,
which received a straight-to-series order in January, will go into production
after Supernatural
wraps shooting. The series will then take over Supernatural‘s traditional Thursday-at-8 pm
slot in January.
Ohhhh. Boy, that works out just right, doesn't it? Meanwhile, as they await the phone call to come back to work, Jared and Jensen are living their best domestic lives together, just like Austin and Jake are. They obviously just feel they need to be seen in each of their "domesticated" settings non-stop, for whatever reason.
After all, there are all those "helpful" interviews that Jensen and beard Danneel are doing for their comrades Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton, plus don't forget the Jewel interview. And then this "wedding anniversary" promo.
The OTT "anniversary" promo wasn't surprising at all - this het train's got hopper cars for miles, apparently. ;-) What was surprising were these kinds of reactions on the J2 blog, Spn Goss:
"Tbh, I was actually enjoying it more than I was expecting to enjoy something like this."
"I enjoyed it to." and "Glad they're good friends who can have fun together." "I thought it was really great, tbh." and "I hope they make more stuff like this. It's really entertaining..." Huh?? What is this Bizarro World? Where's my John Travolta gif?!
LOL!! Can you imagine any dinosaur Jaustin fans saying this about Austin and Chumley? Chlo? Or Jake and Reese Witherspoon? What world is that for a fan who believes in their OTP? lol. This is besides the prediction: had that been Jared and Genevieve Padalecki, the vitrol would've taken off like Mt. St. Helen's on a bad day. The J2 and Supernatural fandom is going through an apocalypse unlike anything Jaustin fans ever saw. As Bill Murray's character in Ghostbusters said,
The ceiling limitation for pandering with the meard is nonexistent, as evidenced by the following Jared-Excluded event:
(Is all of the pandering of Destiel and Cockles a hint at what is to come in the final episodes of the show, Supernatural?) Anyway, we can only hope for released video of this Lego online event, can't we? It has the potential to be quite interesting. *crossing fingers* ➢➢➢➢➢➢➢➢ LATE BREAKING: Liam's new You Tube is out, filled with a wonderful assortment of topics, including how melodies come to his mind! Now that's an enjoyable check mark.
And that is an outstanding idea to reach out to the fans for an intro. There are so many talented people out there, particularly in his fandom and 1D's, he will enjoy looking at all of them. I can't wait to see what he uses. And let's close with this wonderful gem from the past week which is a true gift discovery by someone in the fandom.

You know, some folks used to come on Oh My Godot blogspot back in the day and they wanted photos of the kids. They wanted photos of Jake and Austin together in order to have pictorial proof before they would believe the kids or Jaustin existed. Some fans wanted pictures of Jared and Jensen in some kind of intimate photo before they would believe that they were together.
What some fans don't understand is that these men have reached that point in the relationship and their profession, that fans are not going to get that. You're not going to get a picture of them BBQ'ing in the backyard with their children. You're asking for a dry sidewalk in a rainstorm.
But, the smart ones have learned that it is in the clues, the subtle shoutouts, the watermelon emoji, the Louis the Fish, the Chicago Bulls cap... that we have confirmation which is contrary to something negative within a fandom by men who want to be heard.
In this day of NDA's, big money contracts, sponsorships, and Big Brother pressure, we have to learn to keep our eyes and mind open. In One Direction's case, there are shout-outs. In the cases of Jared and Jensen, and Jake and Austin? They're called slip-ups. LOL!
