One If By Tile, Two If By @AustinNichols Family


As some readers may know, several of us old timers have accumulated more than a couple of Baby Tile sightings and/or mentions from social media.  Normally the sighting has been of a singular Baby Tile persuasion.  On October 25, we had what was probably our first "plural" Tile encounter.  

 But first, let's take a quick timeline looksee at the activity in the public lives of parental units Jake Gyllenhaal and Austin Nichols.  On the 17th of Oct., Austin was trying to appear in the pumpkin way with a store conveyor belt and voiceover provided by his beard, Chloe Bennet in Los Angeles.  Over in New York City, Jake was rehearsing for his New York City Center Gala performance and in the middle of an eye storm onslaught of internet "rumors" tying him to the British chef Katja Tausig.

 On October 24, Jake opened and starred in Sunday in the Park With George at the New York City Center celebration, a musical classic which would play for three nights.  Jake had a cast of thousands to provide distraction during the short run:  Big Sis Maggie Gyllenhaal and husband Peter Sarsgaard (both with whom he hadn't been seen in the vicinity of for quite awhile), oooh's with Jon Hamm, aaah's with Zachary Levi, and let's not forget self-serving opportunist Ruthie Wilson.

 

 Quite a number of pictures and online activity of folks encompassing Jake over these three days.  Was his real-life SO Austin going to miss opening night? Extremely doubtful.  A lot of distraction and social media activity to snuff out any undesired sighting of a hubby in the midst?  And perhaps there would be enough leftover smoke and mirrors to cover while the GyllenNichols Noah's Ark was being shuttled in the air.








 OHHhhhh, what was that?!  The @AustinNichols family, you say?  Hmmm, so was she talking about father David? Sister Ashley and brother in law Rowdy? Who exactly?  Well, Minobis Serrano is a flight attendant.  She had previously been in Mexico prior to these tweets, but it's not clear where she was in between the two locations.  And where is Romulus, MI?  It is less than 4 miles from DTW airport.  And Romulus MI is a bit over an hour from Lansing MI, a city where both Jake has been tweet sighted at. And Lansing is less than 45 min. from Jackson, MI - where Austin was arrested for his DUI and his mother's side of the family has had a furniture store.

Is it too soon for another refrain from the choir?  I don't think so, do you?




My twitter account @goosestile had favorite'd and retweeted these two tweets from @Minobiss but no sooner had I performed these actions and emailed them to M&M, both tweets had been deleted.  Now, I tweeted at her, asking her if she had been told to take them down, but no reply was received.  Fortunately, I had the tweets still open in a browser window and was able to print screen them.  

What we don't know is if Austin was with the "family" or not.  Was Austin still in New York City with Jake?  Well, opening night had passed.  So perhaps on the 25th, Austin was with the "family"  and @Minobiss quickly covered her tweet by saying Austin wasn't there.  But I don't know about that.  Her two tweets came very close together.  Perhaps the "family" was traveling with one or two nannies.  Another family member?  Was the "@AustinNichols family" his father or sister?  Would a flight attendant even be able to recognize them?  Highly doubtful, don't you think?

Seems more likely the Family Tile was traveling on a commercial flight and could it be one of the little Tiles told the flight attendant who their father was?  It's difficult to say what the scenario was and whether Austin was really there or not. 

I don't think even Jessica Fletcher could solve this one.  It will remain a mystery.  But the arrows seem to point towards a legitimate Family Tile sighting.  And that would be of the plural persuasion.

Annnd now they're going back to LA. Must be going to Mark's wedding? 



Who is Mark?  Mark Sheppard - 52 year old actor who plays Hell Crowley, a (fairly) regular character on the TV show Supernatural, co-star of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.  Who did he marry?  Sarah Louise Fudge, an affluent heiress and fan of the show and known to be a Supernatural convention attendee (and auction high bidder).  

So this wedding of Mark and Sarah took place on Saturday evening, November 19 at the Bel Air Bay Club in Malibu, CA.  The guest list read like a who's who at Supernatural conventions:  Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Rob Schneider, Osric Chau, Misha Collins, Alaina Huffman, Gil McKinney, Tahmoh Penikett, Sebastian Roche, co-executive producer Jim Michaels, and Jared & Misha's publicist Suzanne Chico Gomez.  Virtually an all-star Supernatural list. 








A lot of whereabouts accounted for in all of those photos from a rather big event. Everyone who was anyone in World Supernatural was there. And even a couple of national mentions:

 Oh wait, scroll back up for a moment on that E!News article.  An edit has been made to the write up?

 UPDATE:  As it turns out, Mark Sheppard has been married for a year!  
"We have in fact been married since November 9th last year. On March 1st 2016 we welcomed a daughter, Isabella Rose, into our family," Mark said in a statement to E! News. "We celebrated our union with a private ceremony on November 19th at the Bel Air Bay Club with our family and friends."

So they'd been married already?  Yes, this was a second, bigger ceremony, held over a year later.  And the couple has even begun a family since that time, with the addition of a baby girl.  Considering all of the cast tweets and pics, plus E!news robot tweeting the news, one could conclude it was definitely higher profile than the first ceremony must have been.  Even more peculiar is that the bride is known throughout the fandom for getting involved with Mark while he was still married to his first wife.  The sensitive nature of the relationship was controversial enough that Jensen unfollowed Mark on Twitter back in 2015.

 And while on the subject of Days of Our Lives melodrama, there's that additional information about the bride having met the groom at a Supernatural convention in the capacity of a fan.  And not only a convention attendee, but originally an ardent fan of Jared Padalecki in particular.  (How's that for cast "incest", something that Supernatural was already known for?)

And she won on an $8k bid at an auction for a charity of Jared's (I believe Jared says Wounded Warriors).



Quite a story there, isn't it?  And now that over a week has passed from this highly visible, raucously celebrated wedding and knowing that this was a second ceremony held an entire year later, yet treated as though it was organic. When one is dealing with a couple that is fairly deep in the closet such as Jared and Jensen, the antennae cannot help but be rustled.  And in the case of the two blog admins here at Narnia, the antennae were bending like a couple of divining rods near Lake Michigan. 

Having watched Jake return to Los Angeles time after time for the birth of the Family Tiles, could the explanation for such a splashy second wedding lie in the birth of the Ackles twins?

And we know why Jake and Austin had their children in California - because the state is one of the best for those couples who want to use surrogacy:

The state of California is accepting of surrogacy agreements. Therefore, it may be referred to as a surrogacy friendly state. Although California has no statute that directly addresses the surrogacy process, the state's courts have used California's Uniform Parentage Act for the purpose of interpreting a number of different cases that relate to this procedure.

Without going into great detail, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this route seems an extremely probable, I mean quite possible option for Jared and Jensen.  And what better "Look Over Here!!" to hide the birth of the twins, than to conduct this second wedding as a distraction because the ceremony was conducted in Los Angeles, therefore providing the perfect excuse for the two men to be seen in California. 

This same scenario was played out back in 2007, when Baby Tile No. 1 was  born on October 17.  Remember what spectacular event happened then?  Reeke "came out" in Rome, Italy with the pictures being released on Oct 19.  Who could forget?


Meanwhile back in L.A., Austin was accompanying the baby home from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and bonding with their firstborn.

As the Grand Poobah Special K has always said, "you have to go big to cover big".  And while there was no piggyback ride that we could see at Mark Sheppard's wedding (*wink*), surely all of the pictures were sufficient to delight and occupy the Supernatural fandom.

And now that we look back, could this....



bit of revelry have been a bit of cutting loose before the known upcoming sleepless nights that twin infants will bring?

And while Jared continued the "Look Over Here!" by being seen getting his Trot on with the Padalecki crew in Austin TX,

then a cute, but non-GPS'ing tweet from the man himself, Mr. Jensen Ackles, and an old/"new" twit pic of Jensen, the question remains today,

Where has Mr. Jensen been all this time since the big, second wedding?  Just sitting here thinking and wondering.

We can be sure that Jensen and Jared will fill us all in on the heterosexual-driven details soon.

It's A Small World After All: Bearding and Theme Park Capers


Gooooal! This past Saturday, a heated exchange took place on the soccer field between one of the world's greatest footballers in the game, Real Madrid player, Cristiano Ronaldo and Atletico midfielder, Koke (Jorge Resurreccion Merdio). As usual, Cristiano let his spectacular play do the talking throughout the match, including a hat-trick, ensuring his team remained on top of La Liga, 3-0. But, Koke, frantic with frustration at being outplayed at every turn, allegedly hurled homophobic slurs at Ronaldo. At one point, reportedly calling him a "f*ggot". Instead of ignoring the claim, or slinging a curse word in response, Cristiano was said to be defiant and direct. The gist of his comeback being that he might be a f*ggot, but he was a very rich one. 

Headlines exploded about the incident, ranging from Cristiano Ronaldo 'targeted by homophobic abuse' to Cristiano Ronaldo called "a gay slur.' Splashy though the captions were, it was how Cristiano's public relations team met the onslaught of publicity that revealed their state of mind as well as their immediate priority: damage control:

Interestingly enough, Ronaldo was not the only one seen in Paris 

this week.  For some reason, Ricky Regufe, his "manager" and 

"special friend," seemed to be nearby as well.


 




Only this time Ricky was nowhere near Ronaldo. At least, not 

publicly. Rather he was seen with his own companion, who just 

happened to be of the female persuasion as well. Both seemingly 

enjoying a "hush-hush" romantic respite that mysteriously was 

uploaded to Instagram to capture the occasion. What an incredible 

coincidence, don't you think?






That Eiffel tower in the background really provides a nice touch.

Along with the spotless table setting and the two wine glasses 

which inexplicably seem to be filled to the same exact level. Truly 

that's the kind of organic, perfect moment that really makes a 

coupley compatibility statement. Don't let her go Ricky. That 

woman looks like she may be The One to me!  


Now, some might protest and insist that the impressively timed 

Disneyland Paris sighting was not staged at all. That surely some 

lucky tourist just happened to recognize a "disguised" Ronaldo and 

for some reason wanted to take a pile of pics to show the folks

back home -- "spontaneous" moments that appeared to capture a 

smitten heterosexual couple enjoying the amorous ambiance of 

Mickey Mouse at the Happiest Place on Earth. I don't know 

about you, but there is something wildly erotic sounding about that 

spinning Crush's Coaster.  A whirlpool of adventure that I'm sure 

is the kind of stuff true dreams are made of.


Of  course, others might get a tad suspicious, when they find out 

that TMZ rolled back the contents of their own article, which 

curiously enough just appeared on their website today, with a bit of 

revision. According to TMZ, Cristiano and the girlfriend sighting 

actually took place "last week" before the Koke-Cristiano ecounter 

had even occurred.  Nothing to see here. PR is not trying to react to 

gay rumors by forcing their client into an awkward, high profile  

public situation right after he is caught openly admitting that he 

was gay during Saturday's game. 


Then again, it is odd that the infamous TMZ 'Breaking News' 

outlet would wait until today (nearly a week) to post a story that is 

portrayed as not being news at all. Hey, maybe Harvey Levin's 

crew needed some extra time in the ol' photo lab darkroom to 

process those "candid" Disney shots, right?


Surely a professional public relations and media management

team would not be so lame, unimaginative and frankly

homophobic to treat the public like a bunch of gullible saps 

who will believe anything that's fed to them by the powers that be.  

Moreover, why go to the absurd length of placing a client in a 

theme park setting with a reported "girlfriend" just to counter some 

"harmless" gay gossip.   We are sold the belief that adult people 

don't act that way when there's nothing to hide.  Followed by the 

reminder that we are in the 21st century people. No one has to be 

in the closet any longer. 


If Management is not the problem then someone else must be to 

blame for these ridiculous conspiracy theories. How about those 

darn, largely female, pesky tinhatters who just won't see reality and 

choose to ruin friendships, instead of minding their own business.  

A bunch of deranged fans, trying to "force" a sexuality on perfectly

straight guys is where the  real problem lay. [At this point,  

snark is very much intended.]

If only there was an observable pattern we could turn to for reference. Maybe something similar we could identify to justify our suspicion. One or two examples that might suggest we just might be on to something. Let's see....

Nothing at all.  Sure there seems to be a pattern of celebrities who are rumored to be gay and in the closet strategically showing up at theme parks with high profile "girlfriends" (I'm talking to you too Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes). But, that's just a random coincidence, right?  *wink*
