Jake Back in Front of the Camera Again (finally)
Well, after one of the longest breaks, Jake is back before the cameras again, filming in New York City in the Netflix film, Okja. Okja is being directed by Joon-ho Bong and some of Jake's co-stars are Lily Collins, Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano (Prisoners co-star) and Steven Yeun (co-star of Austin's from The Walking Dead).

Those sandals crack me up. Love the knee-hi's, too. And the peek of leg.
And if Papa is working, you know what that means...I think Daddy is back to making PB&J sandwiches again. Except this time it's not Roberto making them for him, he's making them for the flock.
The only question is, is Daddy a triangle cutter? Or a rectangle cutter? Hmmmmm....

Jake seems to be rapidly becoming the go-to actor for hamminess and portraying "the other" in his movies, doesn't he? Give the guy an award already. Before he starts speaking in tongues and riding around on a motor scooter, eating spumoni ice cream. We get in Jake. You're an ACTor.
Those knee highs are quite fetching though. I guess that's what happens when you live with someone for so long. You begin to start fighting over the same sock drawer. :-)

I liked the pictures from Okja of Jake, except for the ones where he's so exxagerated with his facial expressions. Not sure why that's happening now in all of his recent films, even this one which looks a little different from cops and death.
But whatever. I still enjoyed most of them and I love the olive tone of those knee-hi's!! Very nice.
Until recently, Maggie was filming in NYC doing The Deuce with James Franco. Simply amazing how many times she ends up in the same vicinity as Jake. ;-) Not a coincidence.
And trying to find Maggie now is like looking for a unicorn in the forest. Not happening now. Her and Jake are invisible until pictures are released by their people. This tells you Maggie has joined Jake & Austin's closet and there is a Gyllynicholsgaard commune thing going on.

lol, I changed my avatar to my Mr. Moose guy covered in snow, from a big snowstorm years ago. Thought the snow would help the mental body temperature with all these 90's temperatures.
While I'm ready for cooler weather, I am NOT ready for any frost or snow yet. And shouldn't complain because we had a really nice, long spring. It was wonderful.
Cat sitting finished this morning and I miss my little kitty charges. Cats are funny though. They do sleep at night, but they also wander around, play, make noises, use the litter box, they do all kinds of stuff. In and out of the bed.
So now I will say that I'm looking forward again to a full night's sleep, at least.
You also have to vacuum a lot with cats. Of course there's 3 of them, so everything is magnified, I guess. But one of the litter boxes is in the master bath, and though it's fairly large, I don't know how they manage to do this, but after they go, they kick up all that litter and it flings out of that hole in the front. LOL. Dang them. And so of course, you're usually barefoot in that room and you're stepping on all this kitty litter. They have a nifty little brush/pan that works pretty well, but gee whiz. It's never ending.
And then somehow it gets in the kitchen. They dip their paws in their water bowl and lick their paws. Then I don't know if their paws are still wet for awhile maybe and that's how the tiny pellets get on the kitchen floor?
It's all over the place and you can't tolerate it for long. ;D

And also, I don't know about anyone else but I am a rectangle cutter. And unlike Austin, I'm not fussy. That sandwich looks kind of weird w/o its crust, seems to me. I take crust and all.

As a matter of fact I did. The whole gang was there, apparently. Nice to see how time heals all wounds and Paul and Ringo realize what's most important.
The anniversary show meant that this week was also a reunion of the larger Beatles circle, which included Sean Lennon and Dhani Harrison, Starr in-law Joe Walsh and others who gathered for dinner the night before. "We have fun now," said George Harrison's widow, Olivia Harrison. "It's more of a family thing now than it's ever been. All of them are the most loving, generous people. They're really supportive. When they hug you, you've been hugged. It's a beautiful thing."

Don’t ask me what a “safari pimp” is. Since when do I have one clue about what the hell comes out of my fingers? But if I had to guess, I’d say a safari pimp is a safari tour guide who takes tourists out into the wild by day and turns out lion, zebra and gazelle ass onto the stroll by night. It’s The African Queen meets The Mack.
Usually when a creepy, mustached man is flexing his thighs in shorts on the streets of Manhattan, everyone says, “Geraldo, Geraldo, we get it, you’re hot, put it away, pepaw.” But over the weekend, it was Jake Gyllenhaal who brought his hot thighs to the streets while looking like Freddie Mercury in Brian Fellow drag. Jake, South Korean actress Seo-Hyeon Ahn and the goddess of aliens Tilda Swinton covered the streets of the Financial District in Manhattan with even more layers of foolery while shooting Okja, the latest movie from Bong Joon-ho, the director of Snowpiercer.
Based on these pictures, you may think that Okja is about a young Tom Selleck who takes a break from his job as a ringleader at a Boy Scouts-themed circus to team up with one of Sia’s brain cells (played by Tilda) to kidnap a Korean girl. But according to IMDB, this is what Okja is about:
A young girl named Mija risks everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend – a massive animal named Okja.
So in other words, it’s about my last acid trip.
But it doesn’t matter what Okja is about because: Tilda + Jake as a jazz hand-wielding 70s Indiana Jones on meth = get that movie on my eyes now!
