The reaction from 1D fans was strong, with many questioning the direction of the group and their recent different solo projects. But one of a couple of tweets from family members can be reassuring:

Very nice video! We so rarely get to see Austin interacting with other family members, so this was pretty cool.
PG is absolutely right. One Direction is not a group that is breaking up. Far from it. They are taking a break, growing as artists, gaining new life experiences, tying up all loose ends (like babygate) with Cowell and Company, and getting ready for this new non boyband stage of their lives. Congratulations guys. You rock! Today is the sixth year anniversary of the group and we are getting actual, lovely responses from family and the boys themselves. I love how Harry & Louis were the first to acknowledge the anniversary this morning, the ways in which they did it, and how close together their acknowledgements were:

I’m honestly stunned at the forethought of the way this has gone down so far.
It’s like someone sat down and thought about what the fans wanted to hear and how to do that believably.
1. Don’t tweet from @louis_tomlinson
2. Make a video of Louis
3. Post it to the One Direction twitter
4. Have Harry tweet next, both to validate the significance of Louis’ video on the band Twitter and not his own, and also so Harry doesn’t go last and look obligated to acknowledge the anniversary
5. Everyone talks in present tense with no loaded language about “next chapters”
This is perfect. I almost don’t know what to do with such a well-executed public perception campaign so far.

Lovely to see all the guys tweeting to their fans yesterday, thanking them and appreciating them. Even Teflon Niall, lol. All of these guys have come so far in such a short period of time, but I don't think I've seen celebrities like them who are so appreciative of their fans.
Jared & Jensen are, too, don't mean to slight them. I'll say that about them, although they'll stand on a stage and sell them a river at the same time. They are very good to their fans and take so many pictures with them at public venues when they very well could say "No thanks, not now."
Well, well, well, and everyone is at San Diego Comic Con this weekend, aren't they? SDCC is getting to be like the west coast Met Gala just about. It's become THE place to sell your latest or upcoming movie flick, new ideas, merchandise, teasers, etc.
Isn't it funny though, that we have 3 out of the 4 Fodors Travelers Ol' Chlo Bennett, Paul Wesley, Phoebe Tonka Truck and...oh wait. Yup, one of the Mouseketeers has been missing thus far...

LOL! And after that tweet appeared, here came a few lame attempts to try and make it sound like Jake was in NYC filming yesterday. I am thinking the whole Gyllynicholsgaard Commune has moved it on out and they're bunkered elsewhere now.

I am actually, literally LOLing at Trump attempting to say the LGBTQ acronym out loud for (obvi) the first time. You're not our ally bro.
What do you guys think about a celeb/professional athlete who would choose a White House visit to have their picture taken with their wife (who's visibly pregnant) in front of one of the paintings? And the ballclub is the one to tweet the picture? They didn't tweet any other pictures of wives, gf's or guests.
Only this guy, our third baseman. This is their first child and he's missed most of the season due to an injury. Talk about a high profile opportunity - I don't think anyone knew she was expecting.
And it just so happens that Eric Hosmer recently "broke up" with professional beard, Kacie McDonnell.
A gossip thread is full of speculations, about the cause of the break up, what might be in Kacie's future, including hopes that she'll maybe return to Philadelphia where she came from. Who are these anons anyway
And what a surprise, her Instagram is now private'd, no doubt due to "fans harassing" her.
I find it really interesting that just as Mike Moustakas' wife very publicly is shown to be expecting, Hos' bearding contract is over. As in not needed any longer?
I wonder how correct I am on my speculations on this one? Athletes are harder to speculate about, especially around this conservative Midwest area. Other chatter gets out sometimes. Like I've heard several badly reflective stories on George Brett. It will be interesting to watch future interactions with Moose & Hos. Too bad Moose won't be playing any more this season.
All I know is what I see and observe and read about, so it's harder with Moose & Hos. I have no doubt Kacie McDonnell is a professional beard, though.

This little beauty visited me for 15 minutes today. By a waterfall in Georgia. Sat on my hand about 5 times. My family was with me. A meaningful visit.
Austin again placing himself in Georgia. And yet where are the members of The Walking Dead? They were at San Diego Comic Con! Nor was he at the One Tree Hill reunion going on in Wilmington NC this weekend where his friends Hilarie Burton, Antwon Tanner, Roberto, etc. were.
Nor was he with the beard, who was where? At SDCC.
Now I don't have to guess what took precedence for Austin. But I found it interesting the use of his nephew and niece(s) in a video and now he mentions his family being with him in Georgia.
A case of Jared/Jensen speak? Where they know who they're talking about, but fans think they're speaking of something/one else?
