The World Cup of Hockey is going on now in Toronto, Canada at the Air Canada Centre. The tournament is comprised of eight teams: Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, the United States, Europe and North America. "Europe" is comprised of players from Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland. For this reason, they don't have a national anthem played on their behalf before the game and the players have a patch of their home country on their uniforms. "North America" has players all age 23-and-under from the United States and Canada.
So this round robin-type tournament started on September 17 and will end by October 1. Tonight is a big game between team Canada and the United States. Guess what that means? Yes, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane will not be playing on the same team like they do for the Chicago Blackhawks during the regular NHL season. During the World Cup of Hockey, Jonny and Patrick will be on opposing teams with Jonny playing for Canada and Patrick for the United States.
The game is just getting underway and is on ESPN as I type this!!

Well, United States not doing too well tonight. The hockey game is in the 2nd period and it's 4-1. That's quite a few goals.
I'm flipping channels between the Royals and the hockey game, with the tube lingering on the Royals. They're out of the post-season play hunt, but I still enjoy watching them.
Did anyone see this crazy quote of Sophia Bush's the other day? She starts out by having a legitimate beef, but then her "open letter" disintegrates into a self-entitled, self-promoting tirade.
Sophia Bush has penned an open letter to a man who shared a flight with her and apparently demonstrated some harassing behavior, making her and other passengers uncomfortable.
The 34-year-old actress took to Twitter to share her letter on Friday night (September 16), addressing it to “Random Dude on a plane.”
“When you make a woman so visibly uncomfortable, that after you’ve ignored all visual cues to please leave her alone (one word answers, she pulls out a book, puts on a hat, she actually asks you to not speak to her with the tone and words you’re choosing to use) that she finally GETS UP and MOVES SEATS, leave her alone,” she wrote. “Do not continue trying to make conversation.”
“Stop turning around and looking at her,” Sophia went on. “Stop leaning out of your seat and towards her body when she has to grab something out of the overhead bin above her original seat, and sadly also above you, mid flight.”
“And in my case, stop believing that you are entitled to make me uncomfortable because you ‘watch my TV show’ so I owe you some magical debt,” she continued. “I make it, you watch it. After that, the ‘exchange’ is done. You do not get to harass me, or any woman, because you think you pay our bills. You don’t bro, I DO.”

Well, I do believe you are asking your followers to do something past the expiration date of the 'exchange', Soap. You had an understandably good argument going until you went off the deep, entitled end. And then your ego took over for the conductor of that train. I'm just sayin'.
I was sorry to hear though that Jana Kramer had injured herself and is dancing in pain on Dancing With the Stars. I don't even know how she could dance with torn muscles in her rib area. That just sounds terrible.
*sigh* I had wanted Julian Baker to end up with Alex, not Brooke. I thought Julian and Alex had some good chemistry.
Canada won last night over the United States, 4-2. So, there went that, lol. I will say that there certainly is a lot of national pride going on in that tournament. Folks take that sport seriously, more so than baseball, don't you think? Seems like to me, anyway.
It is very nice and quiet right now. Not going to fuss about that AT ALL. The only nonsense going on right now has been some mildly hinky stuff in the J2 fandom, with that whole Thinkery show and several fan stories coming out of the convention. I'm not even spending time on those. Very, very telling that no further pictures have cropped up from the Thinkery Imaginarium event. That was a very controlled situation with Danneel in the back row of pictures or if she was in front, her black dress merged into the background and in the picture with Jensen and Steve, both men very closely book-ended her.
Thanks to everyone checking Narnia out. Not a whole lot going on, not a whole lot to comment about, but that's just fine. We'll take it, right?
