We Extend Our Deepest Condolences to Louis Tomlinson on the Passing of His Mother, Johannah

From the BBC:

Johannah Deakin passed away on Wednesday at Sheffield's Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Earlier this year she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of the blood cancer and had been at a hospital in London since May.
She had seven children and worked as a midwife. Her partner Dan said in a statement that "she would always look to put other people before herself".

(edit)
He's due to perform at The X Factor final on Sunday, which is still thought to be going ahead.

The family statement on Johannah continues: "She desired nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy and loving.
"She worked tirelessly on numerous charity campaigns, creating memories for many individuals and their families.

The family also thanked University College London Hospital where Johannah had been treated since May and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, where she'd been cared for during her final weeks.

As well as 24-year-old Louis, Johannah leaves behind six other children - Lottie, 18, Felicite, 16, plus two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy, 12, and two-year-olds Ernest and Doris.

Rest in peace, Mrs. Deakin.   It looks like you did a wonderful job raising your children.  You had every reason to be so proud. And now another life journey begins.

When I first read the news early this morning, I could not believe it. Only 43 years old. With 7 children. No one had a clue that she had even been ill. The first thought that came to my mind was a recent quote form Sarah Hext. Her son, Harvey lost his battle with neuroblastoma in November and she decided to speak out about what a wonderful person Louis is. The way he had supported her family and brought such joy into their lives. The quote that stood out most was this one:

"Come on mum, let's make someone happy today."

Yep, that's what Louis would say to his mother whenever he was having a particularly bad day. He instinctively would choose to give back to others less fortunate than himself and pay it forward. Not to whine or to turn inward and feel sorry for himself. And, there was no doubt that Louis got that kind of selflessness from his mother.

He and Jay were quite the team. My heart genuinely goes out to him and his family. He will be only 25 on December 24. Not enough years, but I know that Louis will continue to grow into the amazing man he already has become. Thanks to the incredible woman that will always live inside of him and who the 1D fandom was privileged to have known from afar. Love you, Louis. #RIPJohannah

I was profoundly touched by the love and support extended towards Louis, his family and the other 1D young men. What an uplifting source of comfort that must be for Louis and his family.

His mother sounds like she was an extraordinary woman and her love for her son overflowing.

Having collaborated with M&M on an earlier post regarding the anniversary of the passing of Austin's mom, it's really not totally shocking to see some of the same misguidance surrounding Harry and Louis at this time.

The big difference however, is that unlike Harry and Louis, Austin was anything but low-key and discretionary. Austin banged and clanged and OTT to his heart's content. I think in Harry and Louis' case, the subtle "stuff" is out of their hands and they're not even directly involved. That is such a big difference.

Whereas, with Austin, it was and continues to be a parade and he the leading drum major.

I look forward to seeing Louis' performance on the X Factor and my admiration for this young man has only grown tenfold.
