Originally, having met during an audition for the The Day After Tomorrow in May 2002,
Austin and Jake have pretty much been inseparable ever since. For those who did
not live through the heart-eyed courtship, the subsequent bearding stunts and razzle
dazzle narratives, the public impression has been left behind that these two
may have been friends, but soon separated and have been rarely seen together because,
well because they had moved on to straighter pastures perhaps? As a result, the official story has not
only downplayed Austin’s presence in Jake’s life, but pretty much attempted to
eliminate most of the confirmations of their close association. Amid this kind
of bleak economy, the romantic same sex pairing, has been cunningly re-framed to
look more like a figment of overactive imaginations and of a few delusional
conspiracy theorists who are trying to impose a sexuality on two guys who are
simply looking for the right woman with whom to settle down. Sound familiar?
While we here at Narnia happily embrace an appreciation
of our creativity and visionary sleuthing, we also proudly embrace our
commitment to setting the record straight. With this context in mind, perhaps a
little April spring cleaning might free up some space and declutter the junk
that has been piled higher and deeper throughout the years by paranoid
management teams, and bullying enablers. When all is said and done, if a
picture is worth a thousand words, let’s take this unique opportunity to rummage
through the debris and reveal the abundance of treasure hidden behind the
curtain. Those who continue to pull the strings, work the levers and push the
buttons can simply step aside as Narnia Dispatches presents the first of 30 pictorial days of one of our OTP's - Jake and Austin.
Long known as the "Bedhead" picture, Jake and Austin were "out and about" in West Hollywood, on Feb 22, 2006. These two candids are from a four picture set.
Gotta love that Texas smirk. And that inside-out shirt. Hey Austie! Maybe Jake should be driving. You seem a bit too smitten to be behind the wheel. Or, did you two perhaps just come from a backseat tumble? Inquiring minds want to know.
Just a side note: it would appear this outing is now missing from the Just Jared archives. Perhaps the 'bedhead' look and clothing adjustments are a no-no, na-no! *wink*

Welcome to the first of 30 "straight" days of Jake and Austin.
Some (perhaps many!) of these pictures you may recognize. I know there will be some that you've forgotten about. And there are many in our audience who have not seen most of these pictures.
And I bet you didn't think we'd have enough for 30 days. Let us surprise you over the next 30 days with a few of these.
Nearly all of these posts will be very short and concise. We aim to celebrate but we also aim to show the world that these two have a long history together, one that has persevered and thrived despite the cold shoulder treatment everywhere else on the internet.
Austin is indeed the biggest pink elephant in Jake's world.
Just not here.

Because there is going to be a new post every day, like how our 30 days of Toothy, GG and BT worked, but these posts are going to be short and brief, there may be some days when we will have a two-fer since the OTP/closeted world doesn't stop spinning, you know! ;-D
Oh, and another thing. These are not going to necessarily be in chronological order. It would have been nice to do it that way, but by the time we started drawing up the posts ahead of time, they were already out of order. :-(
The important thing is we have 30 days of Jake and Austin. Woohoo!
Amazing, isn't it that with this many pictorial moments dating to 2016, and every stan account and every stan blog, that we're the only ones who seem capable of typing Austin's name.
Wow 15 years. That is crazy. These pics were one of my favs. They look so great together. I had a lot of hope that they would come out back then. But there are no gay male screen actors in Hollywood. Did you all know that. Except for Spock.
The Cats were lights out last night PG. I hope they can keep it up for one more game.
Hey PG if Villanova does win tomorrow night I wonder if Austin will remember our conversation and say wow that guy was right :-)
