What a difference two months made. Remember it was February 11, 2006 which brought to the world the iconic Lakers photos.
On Tuesday (nope, no Saturday date night this time), April 11, 2006, the two men stepped out again, taking up court side at a Lakers game once again. But this time, the pictures were nowhere near as happy and there were only seven (7) published, with Austin appearing in only two of them.
After this photo op, Jake and Austin were not seen together and Jake went away to New York City for a while, being seen with family, Chris Fischer or in photo ops by himself. It wasn't until the party at Matthew McConaughey's home on July 3rd (where we had the weird photoshopping to obscure Austin's face behind Jake's head) that we see them together again.

Just by looking at the sequence of pictures of Jake and Austin from the beginning of 2006 to these photos and the difference in their expressions and there were only a very few pictures, then see that Jake went away for awhile after this. He went away to NYC and hung out, plus Ted indicating that things weren't going well. But after a month or so, Jake resurfaces in LA and then this photo from July, so it looked like things had uprighted themselves. :-)
